Why do you think after the rank legend your K/D will crash

It is rare to find one with a rank legend and have more than 2.00 K/D and Some of them do not even have 1.50K/D  he had the  number in the past before the rank

I don't know if it counts, but my K/D has gone up from 1.33 in 2015 (when Ratings were added and I was Fieldmarshal) up to 1.61 now. I get a K/D of over 2 in almost every battle, so I feel like once you build up a good enough garage and become better at the game it becomes quite easy to increase your K/D.

 

Not that K/D matters when it comes to measuring your skill. A Wasp attacker that has a K/D of 0.5 but captures 3 flags is far better for the team than a camping Mammoth with a K/D of 10+

These are my friends in my high acc, there are rare only you dont know them, all drug clan have high kd members. I know them for several years with some as early as 2012

When you graduate to L1, you are now playing against enemies = to your rank or much higher. For the most part, "peers" have had time to build up a better garage from L1-L30 (or whatever).

 

And you are also playing against fewer opponents with lower rank and weaker garage.

 

90% of the players you play against will be L1+.  Opposition is now tougher.

k/d around 1 is average. k/d around 1,2 is good and k/d around 1,5 is great.

You need defenders as much as you need attackers. The fat lazy Mammoth kills off flag stealers.. or atleast that's what he's supposed to do. People don't see that as often as captured flags. I like how I can be the game changer with a Shaft; picking out the flag carriers with accurate mouse controls.

 

Mid-fielders are the laziest. They don't defend and they don't attack. These guys steal the kills and rack up K/D. I usually am that midfielder lol.

i think that this is because the system doesn't differentiate between any of the legend ranks... when someone just ranks up legend he has to fight legend 100++.. so his k/d drops... but afterwards when he ranks up he'll be the one getting easy kills out of the legend 1s so his k/d will stop decreasing at some point and start increasing again.

of course, for megabuyers who already get everything fully MUed at lieutenant general... their k/d probably won't ever drop below 1 because they never ever have to be outmatched.

Kinda like the m1 smoky and titan player that started in the sergeant ranks with a built up KD. Once they get to WO ranks, it starts dropping until they either MU that smoky and titan combo, or get another combo altogether. When they do make that choice, their KD starts rising again.

My K/D was 2.49 at one point. Then it dropped down to 1.06 at one point. I managed to bring it back up to 1.12 though. It is because I realized that I couldn't camp anymore with shaft and become a game changer, even if it means dying a lot more. As a become more used to changing the game while dying more, I gain skill and I can, once again, raise my K/D.

Campers are the laziest, but their work in the battle can't be disagreed with. Mid-fielders are in the same doing nothing but killing but they are actually helping attackers bring back flags and stopping their own flags from being stolen mid-map.

im still around the 2.2 k/d

but i agree it does get harder to keep it at that level the more you rank up

at legend rank most players have all got m4 equipment so it becomes a level playing field

gone are the times you had m4s against m2s in mid rank games  :(

Titan Smoky is one of the best combos in Tanki. I currently use M2 Titan and M1 7/10 Smoky on Brigadier and it works perfectly.

How you figure?  At least they are leaving the safety of their base. And they can hit flag defenders from forward positions - which many shafts back at base cannot.

 

I've seen plenty of Shaft campers who never leave their base, and only pick off tanks that come across their limited field. Enemy making off with flag?  Who cares - moving might jeopardize their safety and ruin that all-important K/D.

It's true your K/D gets harder to maintain the higher rank you reach.

 

Mine peaked at 2.06 at Lieutenant General. Since then it has gradually dropped. Not because I've got worse at the game (my equipment has got a lot better) but because I simply mess around in parkour too much and kill it that way.
