Be able to see the registration date of your account

Recommended Posts

Before I am declined, let me explain. Many games offer you the option to see when you signed up, for example, Roblox displays it in your profile, and so do other games. I’ve heard mods say they won’t do it because it’s private information. I think tankers deserve the option to see when they sign up. I’ve been told to check my registration email but I didn’t even have a real email when I signed up (I later contacted tech support and changed it because I couldn’t get into my account.) Most tankers might not even have the email, whether the first email was deleted or they don’t use the email account anymore. If Tanki does not want the info to be public they can simply email the owner of the account or dm them on the forum. Please consider at least putting this under review as I’m sure a lot of tankers would want to know including myself.

Declined.

I also know a lot of other games where you can easily know when you have registered the game without doing anything extra or that much of efforts. TO is a bit different, the reason is that you can do something with this information and it is something that is important as well as part of the account's security. Rest assured though, despite the idea being declined, you can still find out when your account was registered by filling one of the forms. (This one.) Of course, you have to fill every info correctly and guess the year you registered. Let us know how it goes.

Ways to figure you approximate registration date:

1...Go to the WIKI and look up the History of Tanki. Read through it and see what was available when you started. Sometimes update dates will jog a memory.

2...Think about what was happening in your life when you joined.

3...Look at the date you joined the forum for the first time. Was it as soon as you ranked up enough to post in some of the forums or did you wait a bit? Were you reading forum posts before you could post?

Maybe these suggestions will get you to searching those filing cabinets in the back of you head. Start looking in the area of the spider webs.

I started out using steps #1 and #2. Some of the old maps, that are no longer in existence,  are mentioned in the History of Tanki. I looked at those and remembered playing them. Then I looked at the date they were deleted. I came up with November or December 2009, shortly after Tanki came out of beta. I know it wasn't 2010 because of another tank game I was playing on Miniclip went defunct and I found Tanki, which was also on Miniclip, shortly after that.
