Legends creativity in renaming themselves

Short nicknames always been desirable, because they can be remembered very easily.

Not sure about Tanki, but in some massive online game nickname like ''Avoid'' would sell easily for 300-400usd.

Imagine how fun would it be when enemy/your team players are in organized 1-2-3-4 positions and it reads:

[TAG]Avoid

[TAG]Our

[TAG]Clan

[TAG]Eternity

When buying from Poland, name change cost like 8usd, probably same in RU.

But "Avoid", no offense, is a dumb and meaningless nickname. After reading this post, I have lost some faith in humanity. Are people really this... weird with the uses of their money and nickname changes?

Some people have to sense of value or they just have money to burn, in which case, I wish they would send it to me, I'd burn it differently.

Watch this:

6 million usd for virtual planet Calipso in A GAME, where they have generally 5000 people online. Loosing a faith to humanity about that statement is just plain dumb, 8usd is basically a meal in Mcdonalds. But I guess with a age comes the feel of ''enjoyment'' when it comes to different pleasures. Even been to Vegas? I don't think I ever game back from Vegas with lesser than 20k spent. You might think it's dumb, but most people call it entertainment and just having fun. Collecting every cent and saving it is IMO just stupid way of life.

I assume you like cheap shots? Which obviously you do since you ''lost hope for humanity'' because of my post, sure, I do online marketing for living, I should be decent with this. So you call yourself sensei_tanker. Why would one call himself _tanker, daa, it's obvious, it's a freaking tank game, tanki online - there is literally tank inside the game name. I mean check your browser bar, there is written tankionline.com. It's like buying a Ford and wrapping a big sentence on your car ''This is a Ford''.

Conclusion, don't judge people or their names or their behaviour, being weird and unique makes people different and interesting.

Come back when you're old and grey, living on nothing but Social Security and tell us saving money is a dumb thing to do. That is IF Social Security is still in existence. Do some reading on Cost of Living Allowance (COLA), look at the chart that shows how much is paid out to individuals on Social Security, then look at the annual income of the area you live in. The results may shock you. For someone who has never worked, the results are even more devastating.

I have now completely lost faith in humanity. 6 million USD must be a troll by the devs, they know no one sane would buy it... or have that much money just lying around somewhere...

I'm not complaining about 8 USD... and you're wrong about the value, it's 18 USD i think. You just stated that you believe that it is reasonable to have players in a game willing to spend 300-400 USD for the username "avoid". I have completely lost faith in your credibility and your arguments after you stated that.

If you regularly lose 20k USD by going to Vegas, and you stated your profession is online marketing (which definitely is not $100k+ a year)... you have a gambling problem. It's perfectly normal to gamble 20k when you are at Vegas, 'cause that's what you are supposed to do there and there is nothing wrong, but you can't possibly LOSE 20k USD... your bank account is not gonna afford that.

It's obvious to you that fun is more important than success, but my personality is that success in the long-run will always outweigh fun. I love fun, and there is nothing wrong with that, but, what's fun in a stupid username? I could get a used top video game for the same price as changing my username in this game.

Who said anything about cheap shots? There is nothing dirty about what I am stating and nothing was meant to be insulting, but moreover, criticized. If you are offended by my statements, I advise you to leave this thread, leave your mobile device, and talk to others around you... it really helps.

You are complaining that I played dirty on you, when you're the one who begins to insult my username... which I spent 0 USD and 15 seconds of my life naming...

I agree with that I shouldn't be saving every cent I have, but there are certainly better uses of my hard-earned money than giving myself a bad nickname on an almost dead game. If I were in the situation, I would hold on to my 1800 cents.

I agree with your final statement with how our differences make everyone unique and interesting... however I am trying to state in this thread how a heck ton of the legends are choosing similar usernames, which are one word, uninteresting, boring, meaningless, nicknames. I am criticizing how there is no flavor to the Legends nicknames and zero class or meaning, and I am stating that shouldn't the Legends have better uses of their money than instead of giving themself a bad nickname?

People worry too much about others and how they spent their money - Mostly these are grown up people playing this game and surely have a full time job for them to buy name change for $8 which you can earn that in an hour?

i'm just trying to point this thing out and to discuss about this because im clueless as to why people would pick these sorts of names. But I could not care less what you spend your money on or how rich or poor you are.

You have a nice nickname keep it 4 sure. If I named myself like a cool word or something I would find it aesthetic, but naming myself "Pencil" is not going to cut it in my honest opinion... no offense to those that disagree.

Edited. My bad, I was mixed up between the Clan License and the Rename Pass.

Hah, thanks, you might have saved my 18$

If you have joined any Moon Silence parkour map - You could probably see the entire english dictionary.

There are 3 countries in the world where this price is lowered by over half. This got huge attention few years ago and community manager released statement about this: For short, ''Due to cost of living some countries have different pricing in a shop.'' well, Poland is not the cheapest country in EU, so lowered pricing makes no sense, but price when choosing country of Poland:

2018-12-08_1343.png

30 Poland złoty equals 7.96 United States Dollar.

If you want to get even more discounts, Mexico - 135 Mexican Peso equals 6.66 United States Dollar.

Due to tanki's new payment processor, you can pay under Poland with any valid European creditcard.

Due to tanki's new payment processor, you can pay under Mexico with any valid American(North or South) creditcard.

As far as I know, this is not against their terms as this is their own mistake in system. This ''trick'' also works with many different websites in the world, most known is probably booking.com. Obviously discount won't be 50% but 10-15 is easily reachable.

I am 30 dude, I run few successful business and employ many individuals, therefore, as a entrepreneur I am fully aware of social security payments and the big issue which been talked about past 12 years. By that statement, I ment, that collecting money and just keeping it in your bank account for retirement is stupid thing to do. ''Get your ass up and do something, so you don't have to hope for social security and collect each cent.'' Can't succeed when you don't do anything!

1) You just stated that you believe that it is reasonable to have players in a game willing to spend 300-400 USD for the username "avoid". I have completely lost faith in your credibility and your arguments after you stated that.

2) If you regularly lose 20k USD by going to Vegas, and you stated your profession is online marketing (which definitely is not $100k+ a year)... you have a gambling problem. It's perfectly normal to gamble 20k when you are at Vegas, 'cause that's what you are supposed to do there and there is nothing wrong, but you can't possibly LOSE 20k USD... your bank account is not gonna afford that.

4) You are complaining that I played dirty on you, when you're the one who begins to insult my username... which I spent 0 USD and 15 seconds of my life naming...

1) This one is taken from different forum and concerns different game, where they have generally 50k players online.

2018-12-08_1409.png

Asking price is 500million ingame money. 1 million is 0.70usd, so asking price is 350usd. If you ask the guy, then the name is ''Jump''. If Tanki will actually manage to get more players and keep game live next 5 years, I don't see why name ''Avoid'' shouln't sell with similar price. This is solid fact, not an opinion.

Edit: Now, before you tell me that I could ask a million dollars for my used toothbrush. but no one will buy it, check out the interest on this same name:

2018-12-08_1452.png

2) Again, how can you make consumptions without actual data. I own my companies, not work under someone. Here is my revenue in Q4 without current month:

2018-12-08_1420.png

I don't have correct numbers about profit and expense, because Q4 is still lasting. But I am expecting about 650kish PROFITS and this is just one of my companies(yes it is most profitable). So your assumption of 100k yearly is far off from reality. I do not pay myself salary, just dividends and generally they reach to 1-1.5m per year AFTER taxes. Yes, I do have gambling problem, like 75% in the world, but I can also afford to gamble and limit it to specific locations and budget per trip.

3) Again, you can't use word ''obvious'' when you do not know facts. It's not obvious that I like to have fun more, I started my own company when I was 16, worked 16 hours per day next 5 years without proper vacation. Now, where does sentence ''obviously I like to have fun more than build something long lasting'' fit in this concept?

4) Don't dish it out when you can't take it. The thing you said was a clear shot to my way. Criticism would be ''I disagree'' followed by why do you disagree, not ''lost hope for humanity'' because of my post.

Rest I either agree, or have been answered already.

Cheers.

Legends with one word names are the cool kids who sped their days in moon silence parkour holding fashion shows to show everyone how much money they have spend on a video game or they are raging at each other with mammy twins combo.

and no tanki nicknames like Avoid are not worth a lot of money because the game is simply not popular enough + 70% of the playerbase is russian and 50% of the russian players do not even use english words in their names *edit* or do not speak english* I imagine.

True.

But you need not be a Legend to hold a fashion show or play Mammoth Sumo.    :)

I think many buyers here buy as an impulse, spending money they shouldn't be spending, I think few spend wisely. And non buyers, either they don't have money or don't want to spend. Personally, I have not spend because I don't want to give my numbers to Tanki, I don't trust them to keep the numbers safe. But I thought about buying with other options like gift card.

Those who enjoy life versus those that save every cent for old age. Here, both have good reasons to do what they do, but both could also be wrong. Because in the end both will still die, and they can't take their memories or their money with them to the grave.

And I thought this topic was to make some fun out of the English-dictionary nicknames, not to insult each other.
