This isn't a contest that requires an incredible grammar skills or exquisite writing style. It's more about reminiscing one's journey through this year. Naturally, all troll-ish or incomprehensive entries won't be considered.

does it have to be in english?

cause it's not specified, and last i heard that the french newspaper is now combined into the english one

Yes only in English. It does not have to be gramatically perfect though. As long as it is comprehensible, it's fine.

2018 was a good year in general, but Tanki had its ups and downs. I haven't been able to keep up with them recently, but almost every V-Log has some new development for the game. It's really great to just see each new feature as it comes out, but these introductions bring some unrest with them. Looking back, I just love to think about every tanker still crying out "gold plz admin."

The worst part of this year was a dawning comprehension that struck me like a brick to the face. That epiphany was this: I will never reach a fully ranked account on Tanki Online. I have many accounts on this game, most linked under this one. I try different combinations to see what's effective where, but it doesn't really matter. I am a completely FTP, which means I will never have a modification of equipment prior to the available rank. Due to the new mechanics, technically Tanki is still FTP, but it heavily encourages making purchases. Because so many people are buying crystals, supplies, and kits, I'm left in the dust in each and every battle, so the few crystals I could get are even less.

On top of this, people abandon battles left and right. I'm not saying I don't because I get placed on teams that can't play to save their lives a lot. Despite this, people will still abandon even when their team is winning, causing them to lose. I believe this problem can be traced back to the matchmaking system. I believe it's a fantastic idea on paper, but it has KILLED the game. There is a large portion of the community that must think to themselves, "Gee, I lost. Again. I don't think it has anything to do with my complete lack of skill, it's just my cruddy equipment. Let me buy some crystals to fix that." This means there are people several ranks higher than they should be, simply because they have strong equipment. Once they get so far, their progress stops altogether. They can't play well because they coasted by on their wallets, and now they have a high rank and gear score, but still drag their team down. I think matchmaking should be removed, not abandoned, until a better alternative can be found. I remember the days when tankers could choose the battles they wanted to play. Now, they get stuck in battles as the lowest ranked player, outskilled and outgunned, and unable to make any real headway in the game.

Of course, I understand that money needs to be made somewhere, especially for a project as big as Tanki Online. I just remember when it wasn't practically forced on players. But other than that, my year's been pretty good. I know this isn't exactly eight hundred words, but I didn't have much time to play this year. I'm sure checking account activity is possible, so by all means, check mine. I just couldn't be a huge part of Tanki this year. It was partly because of a break I was taking from the game (from scenarios described in previous paragraphs), and partly because there was a lot of work building up on my plate. Anyway, I got my thoughts and reminiscences out, so I'm pretty much good.

Anyway, it'd be rude of me to not ask, so how was your year?

Well - let's see, what can I say? I discovered Tanki in November I believe, so I haven't been on that long. I've had lots of fun, though, making my way through the ranks. I am currently at the rank of First Sergeant, with roughly 32 hours of playing time, so I believe I've been making good headway. Correct me if I'm wrong, though :)

My best memory from my short time on this game is when me and another tanker on the opposing assault team were shooting flames over each other, then realized we weren't damaging each other. It was a bit of a "Oh. I guess I should go find someone else to kill!" moment, which was quickly ended when a Twins, Smoky, and Freeze entered and killed me. That was a funny moment.

I'm playing with an M1 Firebird + M0 Wasp, and I am currently trying to get an M1 Wasp. Does anyone have any better suggestions? My main pairs, as you will see on my profile, are a new M0 Viking + M0 Shaft, as well as the aforementioned pair. I'm still trying to decide - am I a sniper, or do I prefer to jump into the melee? Oh, well, I guess time, and whichever one I get to a higher level, will decide.

I am making a point of not spending money - anyone have a suggestion on how to make lots of crystals? Yes, I do the Daily Challenges.

Well, since I don't have much to say about the last year since that means "month" for me, I will recount some of my most funny moments. First, when I realized that a Firebird and Wasp does not do so well in Juggernaut, so I switched to Titan and Shaft, only to find that the time was up.

Second, I saw someone with a Keeper Kit, and their hull was really moving quite fast, I thought, for a Titan. That's the tank for me, thought I, and bought the kit, only to find out that they either had some serious upgrades, or they did not use the Titan. I also found out that I have not mastered turning the turret enough to warrant using the Smoky M1, so perhaps I will save that till later, when I am more skilled.

I also bought the twins when I got killed several times by them. It turns out that that person had probably upgraded them fully.

One observation to the makers: why is it almost mandatory to buy crystals to succeed in the game? I get that money has to be made, but to quote a reply that I read on the forum, "there are people several ranks higher than they should be, simply because they have strong equipment." A truer word was never said. How about we make this a skill game, not a "Who has money to waste?" game. My thanks in advance.

Overall, though, thank you so much for making Tanki. Great game, fun to play, and if I ever get high enough that I can't win without using money, why then, I'll transfer to my alt account, HBTY2.

This year in Tanki has been crazy. So many new changes, alts, updates, and the creation of TO mobile, which btw, I can't play in yet because I live in Canada.

For the year of 2018, I started out by hoping to achieve a better k/d. This dream was crushed quite fast. But that didn't mean I couldn't just try something else; and that goal was to see how much crystals I could attain in a year. Honestly, I ended up spending some of them, but I am currently at the highest amount of crystals that I have ever had. So while people may make fun of my total lack of skill, what they don't know is how much more cri I have than them. Except for the buyers...

Who are the buyers? They are, (in my opinion) the hated ones in Tanki, and also the envied ones. Throughout this whole year, I’ve been put in so many battles where I was thinking that “Ok, everyone here is a lower rank than me. Easy peasy.” And then I see all these lower ranks than me running around with M2’s destroying everyone around them while I still can’t access those same M2’s…

Weird.

And the only surefire way to play with people around my skill level or rank would be to buy a battle pass and create my own battle or join someone else’s. As if I have more crystals to spare.

The thing is, I’m not that bad. If you saw my k/d around a year ago, you would have thought that I’m pretty good. But the rate of buyers grew, and while Tanki needs money to run and all that, it made kids use ‘their daddy’s wallet’ (or moms), which, btw, is a phrase I’ve heard quite a lot this year. Along with ‘Gold plz admin’. And I’m not a hypocrite so I’ll tell you that I have used those three words a few times this year. Not that I actually ended up getting those gold boxes or anything.

But that leads to the happiest moment for me in the Tanki 2018 year; getting 10 gold boxes from a container. And then dropping them by mistake each time I tried to press 5 to drop a mine, because my fingers are too clumsy. The same clumsiness is probably also the reason why I have close to double the amount of deaths then I do in kills. Quite often, I would turn my turret left when the enemy is on the right and vice versa. But then again, I do enjoy being the team healer.

This year, I tried a few different turrets in the hopes that that would make me stop using Isida, the turret that I’ve pretty much almost always stuck with since I bought it back in the day. (I’ve been playing for a few years so I still remember those times when skill actually mattered more than how much money you were willing to spend.) The same for freeze. I love its power and the fact that the strongest mammoth becomes frozen with fear when the liquid nitrogen strikes against its side, causing the great hull to become immobilized and wait in desperation for its punishment to end.

So, what did I learn? Well, I learned that it’s just better that I stay away from playing with Shaft and Striker. I seriously admire players who can play with those types turrets and end up in one of the top places in the battle, without causing too large of a dent in their bank account.

Well, probably half of what I wrote was about buyers and all that, but in all honesty, every time I decided to stop playing Tanki and find another game, a week later I would be back with my friends, joining a battle and ranting about those annoying buyers and trying to get more cri so that I could get a good kit that wouldn’t make me lose all my money.

So, my 2018 Tanki year, overall, tears of joy and tears of grief alike. Thanks for creating a great game so that I can waste more time of my life and watch while people steal gold boxes that were meant to be mine.

This year was interesting for me, and probably many other people. All the updates, in my opinion, made the game a bit confusing but overall i still think its a fun game.

For most of the year, I didn't really play Tanki. At the beginning i still was playing it occasionally, and actually bought a kit on one of my accounts. But around I'd like to say March, I just stopped playing completely. I thought it was just boring and frustrating. I still watched the V-logs though, because you never knew, I could've came back. And I did! Around late September/early October, I decided to catch up on the V-Logs after not watching about 4 in a row. Correct me if im wrong but this was also the time when drones came out. I was so shocked at how much the game is changing, I decided to come back.

When i first loaded the game, I was bombarded by many messages on the [News] notification. I played a couple games, but soon realized i was very rusty. That was when I decided to make this account, Lose. I managed to find this name when I was just typing in random words in the nickname box. I was just like "lol lets try lose although its gonna fail." I put it in and saw the green check. I just stood there for probably a good 15 seconds before i filled in the rest of the information very quickly like somebody was gonna steal the name in the next 30 seconds.

I loaded up and at first I knew i would use railgun, but had no idea what hull. Then i saw somebody with hornet railgun, and decided to go with the flow, but make an exit going off to the left a little bit. I decided to use wasp instead of hornet, and im glad i did. I had a lot of fun making friends like Bruh and Claudia, and i thought i was doing pretty well. I was F2P and still am (with the exception of TO mobile kit), and i thought it was pretty good to have 49K crystals at First Sergeant. I MUed my railgun to m1 during the sales and then decided to save up for Wasp m1. A couple of days either before or after, i dont know, i was excited to try out the new weekly missions. I was opening my regular containers and i saw it turn deep red. Hoping it was 1,000,000 crystals, I payed a little bit more attention. i still dont know how i feel about getting Hornet XT. I bought hornet and put on the XT skin, but quickly ditched it because of hornet's drifting and its length. I switched back to wasp and kept on playing.

Halloween happened and i was really excited about 20x golds, even though i believe i only got 7. At first i used wasp railgun, but realized that didnt work. I tried dictator railgun and then realized the problem. It wasn't the hull, it was the gun. I took the plunge and bought firebird m1. I went out with firebird dictator and realized i hated anything slower than hornet (hunters actually is kinda ok). I went back to wasp, but changed to hornet because of the about 20 extra HP. I hated it still so i switched back. A little bit after or before, I was opening another weekly container when I got a shot effect, luckily for the turret i use, railgun! i got the green shot effect. I kept on playing as normal, but slowly MUing my wasp m1 to m2.

Then TO Mobile came, and i bought one of the last 20 or so. I MUed my wasp m1 to 8/10 and opened some containers. I didnt have enough still to keep MUing though. THem the final rewards for TO mobile came in, and i could MU my wasp to 10/10, with the exception of the final speed up. I was opening my containers when, yet again, I got another railgun shot effect! this time snow or snowflake (i dont remember the name). Currently i have 4-5k cry, M1 rail, M2 wasp, and snow and green shot effect

I also tried making other accounts, such as Denial, Ihaksi, r.u.n, and uhohnames1lettershor. Both are WIP and i have no idea what to do with them, along with my only hunter acc Death_And_Horror

overall i thought this year was good and i hope this next upcoming year is better!

2018 has been a glorious and wonderful year in my gaming career in Tanki Online. It was full of joy and I met lots of new friends. However, I did encounter setbacks and sorrows in Tanki Online in 2018. In Tanki Online, I not only improved my playing skills dramatically, but also grew up a lot and became more mature than I used to be. It played a very important role in my life in 2018.

Let’s start with my joyful moments in Tanki. Oh hold on, there is one thing that is more important than anything else. On 26th February 2018, ‘Tyranny’ was born. (Well this isn’t my first account in TO, in fact, it is my fifth account in TO. One was stolen, and the other 3 are all noob accounts. :()

After learning from previous experiences, I knew that crystals should be spent wisely at the beginning stage if you want to prosper. So I stuck to hunter-smoky combo, and later on titan-smoky combo, and with zero upgrades to my tank, I managed to reach Staff Sergeant in 8 days, with the highest k/d ratio of 16.3 (a nice thing to brag about :P). Then I bought my first m1 item in TO, mammoth m1, and later on, shaft m1. This is how I became a professional sniper :)

After I became a sniping player for some time, the newspaper team has organized a contest to celebrate its 6th anniversary - "Write for the Tanki Newspaper" Contest. I entered the ‘Guide’ contest, writing a guide on how to snipe effectively. And to my extreme surprise, I received the message from the admin:

"Hey there Tyranny! I bring you some good news and some bad news. First, the bad news; your entry was not selected to appear in the July Issue. But the good news is your entry has finished 3rd place in the Guide category!

Your entry will appear in the Write for the Tanki Newspaper Contest topic when the results are posted on June 6th.

Otherwise, you are free to post your article in the Amateur Writing Section for others to enjoy. Nice Guide and thanks for entering!"

That moment, I was dumbfounded. I can’t believe that I won the contest with my non-native language and writing skills! To me, that’s really an indescribable motivation to write more and play better in Tanki Online.

Link:

Another thing worth to mention is my survey project in Tanki Online. In May, I started a survey project with the help of some of my friends. (Thank you RevengeAttacker and BlitZ_Punisher) This project aims to explore statistics and facts that not everyone in TO knows, and to make suggestions for the game and help the officials of Tanki Online improve the game (This project is carried out with my previous account mwhahahahahahaha, a stupid name isn’t it? :(). It might also be useful to those who would like to quote data and statistics. In total, 6 surveys were conducted, and it was a pretty success. I received positive and encouraging comments both in the forum thread and the discord channel. However, as school was about to start, I have decided to end this project so as to focus on studies. But overall, it was a wonderful experience.

In mid-June (I remember vividly it was when I was having Final Exam), I joined the first event of TO in my career, and that was Lucky Gold Box event. Of course, I didn’t win that time, probably it was not good to play during exams haha! I won my first event in July, in a Space Runner event. That was quite easy with ricochet, in my opinion.

Oh yes! I nearly forgot about the war! According to the standard definition, the «War» was a global event in which factions battled it out for supremacy over the areas of a fictional world. This time, I was in Bears faction (Any bears here? :D). With the help of another friend, we created a discord channel for faction Bears. We managed to have 100 + English-speaking members. We discussed tactics for each turn, as well as shared screenshots of containers opening, and did a gold rain party for everyone after the war. Although we weren’t the winners, we won our friendship.

But still, I had sorrows. Throughout the year, I had been searching desperately for clans. I prayed ‘Please give me a chance to at least join a clan!’ and finally, my work paid off. A clan accepted my application. Yea, that was cool! But just for 5 days, then I got kicked for no reason. So I continued to find a clan which can accommodate me for a longer period of time. I asked for applications, I sent out so many badges, but only 2 – 3 clans responded. I was invited to join a clan again, but after a week or so, I was kicked again. This was really frustrating as you can imagine. And it really hurts when you find yourself being kicked for no reason.

Finally, in around October, I joined the clan ‘Broken’. As I helped to make the profile page of my clan, my contribution was highly recognized by the leader, and to my astonishment, I was promoted to the commander of my clan! That was one of the best experience in my TO career in 2018. I hope I can do more for my clan, and I am happy to say that my dream has come true!

One more thing to mention, in late November, I bought my 9th m2 item in TO – railgun m2. With hornet m2 which was bought from a kit, I can finally play the mode of XP. Yay!

So that’s my 2018 in Tanki Online. As 2018 is about to come to an end, I feel grateful for all the joyful and glorious achievements in Tanki Online this year. They will be my happy memories for the rest of my life. I am anticipating another glorious year with Tanki Online! 2019, I am coming!!!

MY YEAR 2018

Hello everyone !!

This year 2018 was arguably the biggest year for Tanki Online in terms of number and variety of updates released. 2018 was a landmark year for me for several reasons, one of the foremost being I re-joined TO after a long hiatus this year. I had my fair share of several ups and downs, success and failures and memories both good and bad.

When I first logged into my TO account after several years in January 2018, I was bewildered and somewhat overwhelmed by the changes that I faced in battles. I was confused by several things - why the railgun m2 I had equipped dealt so little damage and reloaded much faster, why my smoky m2's critical hits dealt very little damage, what were the white numbers popping out of enemies when I shot at them, what was causing the constant explosions bombarding my base, what was the Super-Saiyan like powerup everyone was getting, etc. This was primarily because I was not up to date with the updates released since 2014.

As a result, I slowly began researching the updates that hit the game from 2014 - 2017 using the forum as a resource during which I came to know about a lot of amusing updates. After a good amount of reading, everything seemed to fall in place naturally. I realised that the global update of 2016 was responsible for the abnormalities I encountered when playing with railgun and smoky. I also found out that the white numbers magically rising from my enemies were in fact damage counters and that tankers using a new turret called "Magnum" were behind the frequent explosions on the battlefields. I later induced that the powerups players were getting were actually called overdrives and it was not until much later that I learned how to activate them. How silly of me !!! Catching up with all these new things including the new turrets "Magnum" and "Striker", alterations, paint separation, overdrives and many more was by my own measures one of the highlights of the year for me.

I shall first tell about the good things that happened to me in the game in 2018 after all this.
My first mission was to restore railgun to how it was prior to 2016. To complete this, I worked hard to earn
sufficient amount of crystals and managed to buy the “High Calibre Ammo” alteration as it was called then. With this equipped I got a decent number of kills per battle. I also started playing pro-battles steadily accumulating funds. It was in one of these battles that I was noticed by a player and invited to join the clan Red.Velvet. Fortunately, they were a lot of good sales this year and they happened rather frequently to my pleasant surprise. Taking full advantage of the discounts offered from time to time, I fully micro-upgraded both Viking m2 and railgun m2. Once I reached marshal rank I obtained Viking m3 and railgun m3. I had some memorable experiences with this combination.

2it33g1.png

During the War: Domination event that took place during the summer, I participated, won a lot of containers and got cool rewards. I was very excited because that was the first time I was opening a lot of containers. I had some nice memories of opening those containers.

2nvz6va.png

ykswk.png

During the war event, atfirst I was only getting either 0 or 1 stars. So I was thrilled the first time I got 2 stars.

eiwg2f.png

Right after that, during the Tanker’s day sale in September, I boughtisida m3, magnum m3 and griffon m3. I was very happy because it was the first time I got to use m3 turrets other than railgun so overall that was a superb experience. I enjoyed using both these turrets.

n6cgfb.png

2cgkh3m.png

Isida m3 also helped me to rack up score quickly and enabled me to earn 3 stars for the first time.

209qdsw.png

2018 was perhaps the best yearin my career because I ranked up quickly using isida and finally reached the rank of Legend. Yipee!!. All throughout the year I keenly followed the V-LOG and forum news announcements. From October onwards several new updates were released my favourite being the ability to customise protection modules, mission chains and increased experience points for healing with isida. Speaking of missions, I was enthralled when the first time I completed 10 weeks of missions and received the rewards.

j82j2v.jpg

After the update that distributed funds more fairly among teams, quality of gameplay increased and there were instances where the winning team was decided only in the last few seconds of the match. For example :

2w3e138.png

One interesting thing I learned in 2018 was that the team having more players is not necessarily guaranteed a win. For example :

11bjbit.png

Another fantastic experience for me was receiving the invitation to joinTO Mobile during the mass testing stage. To be honest, I applied late and didn’t expect to receive it so receiving it made my day.
More recently, nice features like newer alterations, drones, shot effects, weekly missions and challenges were released. Speaking of all this, I also had the pleasant surprise of opening a container and getting the “snow” shot effect for
railgun. I have recently completed the 3rd tier of the challenge and this has also become a very memorable moment for me.

One other memorable thing for me was when I played against Flexoo himself in a Tribute rugby match. I am not sure if he remembers me but I remember it very well. He was on the opposing team and his team won by a small margin. Flexoo was using m4 Hunter, m4 Striker with some Helper paint and was incredibly difficult to kill with his 50% Railgun module. I vividly remember him finishing top of his team. But it was a fun match and I couldn't believe that I encountered a helper and that too in a matchmaking battle. It was truly a rare experience.

As for bad memories, they were luckily few and far in-between such as that time when I applied to clans and they did not give me a clan tag, facing mults and hackers (especially striker aim hacks), the magnum nerf and of course the longer delay for “Large Calibre Rounds” alteration. I also found it challenging to adjust to the several turret balance changes that took place this year. But I just brushed some of these away, took the others in good spirit and continued to move on.

In the remaining few days of the year, I hope to buy “Round Destabilisation” alteration for railgun because I read some discussion that it actually increases the DPM of the turret. Also, because of the lack of variety of turrets in my arsenal, I might buy striker m3 during the upcoming Christmas celebrations. I shall also finally upgrade my
viking to m4 as it had stood by me through my joys and sorrows the past year symbolising my resilient and mighty spirit. I am looking forward to even better memories using these.

Thanks for reading !!

Best Regards,

My year in 2018 was awesome! In the past year, my K/D went down drastically due to my lack of drugs, and lack of faith in myself as I payed. I truly never care whether I win or lose, but rather how much fun and how much enjoyment I get out of Tanki Online. Unfortunately, I was blessed with getting containers that had batteries on my little account which I found very, helpful considering I don't use drones. Those decorations are appealing to others, but not I.

As well in the past year I actually dropped a few gold boxes as I received missions on Halloween for gold and later I received some via containers. These bundles of surprises were a great addition to the game as the suspense and anticipation to collect each one got me into trouble as I didn't go to bed on time. I also had a lot of fun attempting to catch them as well. I am still a newbie at the game even though I have played for years. The mos annoying thing to watch when you are playing and "the gold box has been dropped" comes on and someone hacks to get it. That was something I found extremely frustrating. Like, why can't they just play the game like any other normal citizen would do? That's my rant on the subject of goldboxes for 2018.

Next, all the celebrations in the past year of 2018. I found all the celebrations that I participated in to be awesome. Halloween I remember was great as we could collect stars. Although I believe I only managed to get around 28 before they disappeared. I still chuckle about it. Unfortunately, I am positive I didn't play on Tanki's birthday which is a letdown as it is a major event and pardon my lack of well wishes, I wanted to play for the goldboxes and other sales that are on.

As well, in 2018 I did not buy anything as I am a non-buyer. I agree with a few that it does have its tragedies since most buyers have great equipment and we're like "staring after them in awe and hating ourselves for it".  What I also realized in the almost full year behind me is that I found out is that there are two types of buyers, the annoying know-it-alls, or the compassionate ones who drop goldboxes for all. The annoying know-it-alls are the ones that drove me nuts. They entered the battle called everyone noobs and I was like "uhmm.." *checks battle list* "Uhmm" *checks again a satisfied smile creeping on their face*  Nope, I think they are and with that frame of mind, you keep on tanking.

In the past year, I believe Tanki has improved a lot. When I first played (way back in the day ... lol) it was nothing like it is today. As well, Tanki I believe has released important new updates that have improved Tanki dramatically. The shot effects, alterations, as well as reworking the mission system were all awesome updates that assuredly benefits may non-buyers. I may not have played every day, but all those new update made Tanki a fun and enjoyable game to play with the rest of my family.

I hope this is 800 words... I'm too lazy to count.......

Year 2018 was really great :)

I played battles and won crystals. I love Viking and Thunder and played in Parma.

My favourite colour is Electra,

Coloring_electra.png

because it is a shockingly beautiful paint that captures the elegance of an arc of electricity flying through the air.

I played in 2018 also with Moonwalker. This unique paint was created specially for the "Farewell to Moon Silence" event. It was available in the shop until October 10th, 2013.

And that is the date where I bought it.

I did also Pacour with Traceur. Climbing houses, displaying dizzying tricks and other spectacular stunts will be much easier with this paint. During its creation, leading laboratories engaged in aircraft design and research in the field of aerodynamics. The resulting paint dramatically reduces air resistance and allows you to jump further, fly higher, tumble faster. Your parkour skills will not go unnoticed in this bright and aesthetically pleasing paint. The coating is designed specifically for participants of the competition "Masters of Parkour".

I played 2018 a lot with Premium. Getting a Premium Account is possible by winning Contests, randomly getting it from a Container, buying with real money or by completing Daily Missions. If you already own a Premium account and you buy crystals or extend its duration, the extra Premium days will be added to the remaining Premium days you have. Thus, the Premium can be extended in advance, without needing to wait for its expiration.

And that is what I loved.

And in 2018 I looked at information from 2015, how the game has changed.  Some parts of 2015 looked like this:

On the first of September it became known that Tanki stopped its collaboration with StarLadder. During the year of activity four seasons passed, including championships for teams of various levels, as well as blitz tournaments. Judging by the amount of interest shown by the players in the new “StarLadder era”, the old clan system was left in the dust.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, numerous additions were released — discounts on buying multiple items of the same type (Hulls, Turrets, Paints), purchasing the latest available modification of an item directly, and test drives were all a part of the "Personal Discounts system". Altogether, they give quite a hefty total savings potential for buying turrets and hulls. With a bit of luck during the holidays and celebrations' sales which, by the way, became much less generous (otherwise the game’s economy would get completely destroyed, as stated by our CM Semyon Kirov), it became possible to buy items for only 30-40% of their initial price.

As usual, in the end of October «Tanki» celebrated Halloween. Not long before that, Premium Accounts were officially implemented — not the most awaited, but a very logical feature. On the 31st of October, Premium players could purchase a unique paint called «Eternity», with varying protections depending on the player’s rank. Also, before Halloween the personal profile, statistics and Achievements were added — users got the ability to view their own and other players’ basic gameplay statistics, a system which was long-lost after the removal of the «Hall of Fame». Although, not everybody was happy about the fact that the contents of their garage were available for anyone to view. Soon after this, some major changes in the Micro-Upgrades system came: on the 12th of November, the option to upgrade individual parameters separately was removed and changed to a much simpler system that let users upgrade all parameters at once — players lost the ability to upgrade the most needed parameters only.

A few more events worth noting:

  • On the 23rd of October the VLOG announced an unusual contest, somewhat resembling "THE GAME" quest — the task was to find keywords hidden within the videos throughout a series of nine VLOGs. Ten players were the fastest to find the words and received their favourite combination of turret and hull.
  • On the 2nd of December different categories' tabs appeared in the Garage interface. Before, the garage was divided into two parts: the garage itself, with all the items that the player already bought and the shop, which had items still available for sale. This update was removed due to the inconvenience of having to scroll through a long list of unnecessary items to get to the the useful ones, although it added the need to actually switch between tabs.
  • On December 9, a new feature was added — paints will be listed based on their strength and usage and users are now able to preview them before actually buying them.
  • On New Year, Developers released a new combination of XT items and a new map with a special battle mode — Mammoth XT & Vulcan XT and "New Year" map with "Assault (ASL)" mode. In addition to these, new items were added into the Game — "Gifts". By spending some crystals, you were able to send to your fellow tankers best wishes and messages.

Yeah and the year went so fast, you can´t imagine. 2018 was a great year.
