Tanki in SEA?

I'm probably the only player that cares anything about this, but I'll report anyway.

Tanki merged the S.E.A. servers with the EU servers so now you can jump into a battle as easily as you can with a normal EU login...because you are playing EU/North American battles.  Unfortunately, to accomplish this they wiped out all previous SEA accounts....100%...gone, poof!

So now you can hit the PI or Indonesian Flag icon and be given the choice of login in through PlayPark, Google, or Facebook...period.  The login does put you into HTML Tanki.  But, there are several bugs in the HTML version and the lag is the same...possibly a bit worse than a normal log in through EN, RU, GM, PL.

So, for me, SEA is pretty much pointless...I guess the Indonesian players get a lobby in their own language, so that's cool.

                                                                ----------------------------------------------------------

PS  Just logged in via the Indonesian Flag icon in the drop down menu.  The Indonesian section comes up in English only...go figure.

The HTML also generates some sort horrible aberrant motion sensation due to a slight delay in turning your turret or hull...it's like a motion sickness feeling or slight dizziness.  It's not lag but something peculiar to the HTML5 version of Tanki.  There is no way a person could play this for a couple of hours at a sitting without barfing.

So, the Tanki venture into the SEA region is a complete 100% bust.  Other than a curiosity, there is no reason or advantage to login through the SEA icons and SEA interface...zero.  At least the drop down menu looks more international with a couple of extra flags.  TankiOnline...ya just gotta love the incompetence.

what indonesian? that's not the indonesian flag, that's the singaporean flag (crescent moon and 5 stars) and they do get it in their language because english is the language they use.

judging by the geographical locations (as well as some other economical and buisiness factors) of the 2 southeast asian countries, i would assume they have some sort of signal boosters located there to enhance connections to european servers.

the fact that they had to wipe out the south east asian accounts in order to connect the servers with european ones suggests that they have changed the purpose of servers there from acting as a host to simply relaying and strengthening the data exchanged from european servers.

oops....you are correct, Singapore, yep, English...sorry, my bad.  My ignorance is showing.

I don't know about the signal boosters.  I am in Thailand and before they combined with the EU, it was silky smooth graphics for me with great fps and ping when I could play with a friend on PlayPark out of the PI.  Since they moved everything to playing in EU, my graphics are much worse than they are if I just log in through the normal EN icon.

The PlayPark interface may now be just a remnant of some contractual obligation of AP's botched attempt to expand.

i think that would probably be because they haven't yet optimized the signal boosting part so when you select singapore, your signal has to go there first before being sent to europe... as a result takes more time as the distance is longer.
