invalid Prevent players from rejoining in pro-battles

Hi! from the title it might not be very clear, but please just read to get what i mean.

 

I start saying that i looked for somewhat similar topics but didn't find any!

 

The reason why i made this topic: 

Allright, it's been long i wanted this feature, but it seemed that no one ever cared about it, nor players did a topic in the forum to change it: sometimes players that are playing in a pro battle which has the "Change equipment in battle" feature disabled, it can happen that for some player's frustration, this player will leave the match, go to garage, change equipment and then get back; yes, i know that the chance of his team slot being still free after he changed are low, but if this happens, the enemy team will have serious troubles! it will be very hard for them to keep winning!

 

My idea:

Very simple, create a system that records the player name who was in that battle, if he leaves, then tries to join back with a different equipment (the system will always refresh after the battle restarts ofcourse!) he will have a message displayed like XP/BP battles, something like: "Looks like you've changed your equipment! If you want to join again, please equip your previous combo/alteration/protection/drone!"

These battles are hard to avoid tbh, so I don't play pro battles a whole lot anymore.

i don't know if you get it, but if the battle has the feature of using garage in battle disabled, if a player leaves then joins back with different equipment (let's say in most cases players will just equip the protection modules from your team) it's like cheating! It's a backstab to those players who stood there playing fair, without being able to change their equipment!

I get it. And you know what, I did that a lot back in the day, especially in Island CTF. It's not cheating, it's exploiting the rules of the game.

 

And as you said, most of the time, by the time you go to the garage to change, when you're back to the lobby, there is no spot in the battle anymore.

 

When you join a pro battle with the garage feature disabled, you must know that some players will join and change their equipment. It happened to me in Noise, we had the lead, then half of enemy team leaves, new players join, check the protection, leave and come back.

 

That's the game.

A lot of you guys are mentioning how your spot can be stolen by going to the garage but I feel like the major risk is losing all my score and my funds in the process. But of course, if you just join, there is no risk in leaving.

Since players can view what equipment is being used before they join in the first place, this is unlikely to have a big impact.

The profile shows current hull and turret being used. 

 

If you find a battle you may want to join and there are spaces on blue, are you going to look at all 8 player profiles on red team? Then you go to the garage and make your changes. Those spaces will probably be gone by then.

Well, your not gonna look at all 8.  Look at top few scores - those are ones most likely to concern you.

Battle might only have 4 or 5 per side - gives you time.

 

Not saying everyone would do this - just saying it's possible.  And, of what proportion of pro-battles does this actually happen?

good idea but... clans can easily overcome this. send 1 guy in to look at all the turrets and modules of the enemy and report to the rest of the members before they join the battle

I think looking at 3-5 profiles before you join would take even less time than that...

Ah... not modules.  But you can see weapons and equip appropriate module for yourself.

 

By the time a Clan-member reports what is being used those empty slots are not likely to be empty anymore.

I'm talking about battles where you're winning 99-0 and all enemies leave... no one, other than a clan would join the losing side. but when they do, you lose 99-100

I've seen similar battles without clans. A full team against 2 players. Your win is seated in cement. Suddenly, the opposing team fills up and wins. I was in one such battle on the losing team. 

 

A few days ago in Polygon CP our full team, blue, was winning 94-8 against 3 on red. All of a sudden, there was red all over the map. We lost 100-66.
