Let's discuss youtube rewind

As some of you may know, the new youtube rewind 2018 video was released a few days ago, and unsurprisingly.. it didn't do very well.

 

It is about to become the most disliked video on the platform, gathering more than 8 million dislikes in less than a week, the fastest rate on record. Soon it will surpass the current video with the most dislikes "Baby" from Justin bieber (10 million). Do note however, that "Baby" has a significantly better like/dislike ratio than this new rewind, so reception wise this is probably the worst video on youtube.

 

The reasons for such abysmal statistics are many, including the absence of pewdiepie, excessive fortnight references, ignoring many big events that happened throughout the year, and very cringey segments.

 

 

Hopefully they'll get it right next year, but if anyone really cares about this, I'd like to know your opinion about it.

 

 

 

 

Edit: It's now the most disliked video on the whole of youtube, and it accomplished that feat in less than a week!

Well many memes were forgotten (example: the tracer meme) and Pewdiepie didn't start with YEAR REVIEW besides many YTubers didn't upload as much like Liza I saw these complaints in the comments in my opinion The pewdiepie vs T-series fight was very popular as people spent alot of money keeping pewdiepie 1st Youtube Rewind Had to have that fight as well as the logan paul vs KSI one And Tik Tok was blowing up as well as MrBeast a youtuber had grown alot during this year yet he wasn't in Youtuber Rewind.

True, I can't believe they didn't include any of that, as if they completely ignored it all.

Pewds vs T-series and that boxing match should've been the major events in the rewind, just like gangnam style was in the 2012 rewind.

The only thing good about the youtube rewind was JaidenAnimations' part bringing in Pewds' chair to the video, and some meme formats in the form of Will Smith and Ninja.

In a week, YT Rewind 2018 became the most disliked video on Youtube.

 

In less than 3 days, Pewdiepie's rewind became the most liked (non-music) video on Youtube.

Youtube did something massive this time, uploading the most disliked video on their own platform.

 

By the time we get to rewind 2019 this video may have over 20 million dislikes, compared to only 2 million dislikes for rewind 2017.
