The Battle Pass doesnt boost the number of stars earned, so you would only get 6.

 

 

 

It doesn't matter because the Battle pass does not increase the number of stars you earn in a battle. Only Premium does that. 

 

So in the scenario you described above, you would still get up to 6 stars each battle.

If you bought the battle pass first and then Premium - You would still get 6 stars each battle if you became first/second place. If you're playing without premium but have battle pass - you'd get better rewards but receive less stars - 3/2 stars each battle.

If you completes battles as a premium user all your new earns stars will be doubled from the battle. 3 becomes 6, 2 becomes 4, ...

When the premium is expired you keep your accumulated stars count but all new earned star from battle will not be doubled anymore. 

 

On the other hand the battle pass is a "all or nothing type", even if you buy it on the last day, you will automatically unlock all the bonus reward (bottom row) of the tiers you have already completed. And for any further tiers you complete you will get both top and bottomrows rewards.

Premium and Battle Pass are different things - Both of them has 2 different advantages. Premium will double your stars in-game so you earn the stars faster as you move up the tiers and for the Battle Pass will give you an advantage to receive additional rewards, which you also have to pay for it. 

 

If you want additional rewards then buy the Battle Pass, if you want to reach the tiers quicker, purchase premium. I hope I did not misunderstood your post, Bydo.

Considering that devs didnt specify its possible that they're not sure themselves, this might be an experiment and it would depend on how many players participate etc. Cannot be sure, we get the same info as you do.

Premium has nothing to do with bonus gifts - premium only gives you more stars per battle. Instead of 2 stars at battle end you get 4 stars. And so-on.

yea it gives you the double stars which also gets you to the next level faster , I get that part . but it shows the red premium pass for the bonus level on the bottom . would you not think this would also give you those bonus items . or is just for the challenge pass cards?

Yeah, the way TO designed the insignia for Battle Pass rewards does seem like they can be earned with a Premium account, even though that's not actually the case. 

 

Given how Premium skips some of the long and tedious grind for earning hundreds of stars, however, I'm guessing TO was insinuating that acquiring Premium is the perfect complement to buying a Battle Pass for Challenges.

The current Challenge ends upon the 25th of January. After that it will be unavailable until the next Challenge. 

Challenges are the same as the crazy weekend and the stars week, but instead of being managed by a hand made website it is now managed by the Challenges feature. They used to happens every months and sometime twice a month, so expect more of them. However, this Xmas challenges was really big - 2000 stars - and I do think it was exceptional. Future Challenges would be smaller in time and rewards. For the 10th TO birthday I would think they will do a big challenge again.

For the next Challenges there should be more transparency, like each tier showing the required number of stars, and Battle Pass should get a new name and new logo.

 

My idea of 5 Stars would solve the issue of no stars for many in the losing team. I think that post/idea was not deleted.

Few go to the Wiki, and not even the announcement has a link to that Wiki page, when it could be added to the Challenges panel in the game and be easy to use. I do have the link by the way.

 

For example, here I'm at Tier 3...

 

 

Then if I want to know how many stars are needed in Tier 4, I could just click Tier 4 and get this...

Hello elegant and honored mother, yes, Tanki does award Premium, and I think it is an excellent item to have in containers. It awards the daily supplies and grants double Stars during Star events. (That is a new feature added with Challenges.) They gave us a break on buying the Easy Star pass. Though they don't require us to buy the double, they still require us to buy Premium if we want double Stars. I agree the red ribbon addition to the icon is confusing. Hopefully Tanki will change the graphic to keep the two distinct.

 

The battle pass is new. They haven't had anything like it before that I recall. Tanki isn't giving the second row of awards per tier unless we support their bottom line. I paid twice, once for Ricosck, and once for my younger son, who is playing regularly for now. It seems sufficiently valuable, but anyone who can't, or anyone who wants to only play free, the rewards are still significant for the top row.

Dear Sir thank you for those nice words... for me I would have like to have paid for one but seeing my firefox is not working with tanki . I can not buy . I have tried to up load paypal with a new password but still not working on chrome so i'm out of luck along with Tanki...all i was wondering was more why my account which has the premium pass from a container is not giving me the bottom line of gifts . I checked again today and still no special paint?
