Buyer BEWARE!  If you are thinking of this bundle for an exclusive paint, I would highly suggest you consider how many dozens of paints Tanki said would be exclusive only to find them in containers or for sale at another point in time.  The bundle may possibly be a great value, but just don't make paint exclusivity the main reason you buy this bundle.

If I'm not mistaken, you said you're a retired programmer. If that's the case, at some point you've undoubtedly been called to work on someone else's code. And as any decent programmer will tell you, working on someone else's code (no matter how well it is documented and structured) is ALWAYS a nightmare.

 

Now picture this scenario.

 

You fire the whole programmer team on Tanki Online. Here's what happens.

1. You have to hire a brand new team.
2. In the meantime, your whole operation stops because you fired the whole team.
3. Before getting a replacement team, you need to advertise for the post and do a bunch of research, which costs money.
4. Finding ONE qualified person who is a good fit for the company is a major headache. Imagine doing it for two, or five, or ten.
5. More time passes with your operation being dead in the water while you look for your elusive dream team.
6. By some miracle, you eventually manage to hire a whole team in less than two months, which any hiring expert will ASSURE you is next to impossible if you want QUALITY people, since according to you, the current team is incompetent.
7. The new team now has to review a pretty big amount of code that started being developed 10 years ago, and as a result, is nowhere near as optimized or documented as it should be.
8. This takes the new programmers at least a few weeks, during which your operation is still dead in the water.
9. The programmers eventually realize that they can't just go in there and start changing and messing with things without taking into consideration the greater structure of the software.
10. You find yourself in the exact same position you were at step one. And that's because the first group of programmers was never incompetent to start with.

But the truth is that even if you were project manager, none of this would happen. Know why? Because the moment you went to the board of directors and told them you wanna fire the whole team of programmers in two weeks, and your backup plan is to re-hire an entirely new workforce, you'd be thrown out of the room without as much as touching the floor (but guaranteed to hit every sharp edge on every step of the staircase).

 

Maybe you really are a retired programmer. I'll believe you. But just because you had some competence in programming, please don't assume that that competence extends to other areas of a business.

I complained because maybe 3 years ago they nerfed thunder. I had bough and paid for thunder, upgraded it to M4, and was slaughtering with it happily. Tanki nerfs it. I told them that is stealing something that belongs to me. In the USA I would have you put in jail. You sold me something and then you took it back. In Russia I don't know what that is called - in the USA it is called stealing.

All turrets are supposed to be balanced to each other, and Thunder is still a little OP today, that's why Thunder protection is pretty common.

 

Right now Fire, Magnum and Smoky are OP and need nerfing, and we should expect the nerfing of those turrets.

 

If someone buys one of those turrets and a nerf happens those who bought those turrets can't complain or demand that those turrets always stay OP when compared to others.

 

On the other hand, yes, Tanki makes some turrets OP from time to time to sell, or so it appears that way.

Why shutdown if Tanki is doing well in the money making department, they keep selling bundles and in every battle there are in average 4 with Premium, usually in the other team but that's another topic.

 

If Tanki shutdowns we the users also lose, while Tanki under a different name will just want players to start from the beginning.

 

I know Tanki will not solve many of the issues anytime soon and battle balance will likely get worse and worse with Drones and Ovedrives. So be advised.
