Actually, there's really no business rule stating how often or how rarely you should offer things for sale. But I can tell you for a fact that the company that makes less offers, almost always makes less money.

 

And besides, it's not like anyone is forcing you to buy anything. The offers are there. You can choose to buy or to not buy. Nobody's judging.

As a community manager, Cedric cannot fix any in-game issues, that includes the payment system. I get that it's a bugger not being able to buy something just because the payment system fails. This also affects TO itself (in the form of missed revenue), so you can imagine they are working on solving it as soon as they can.

I may be wrong but I think Cedric (or the EN CM) can tell the devs what the community wants and maybe they listen and maybe they don't, that is fine. If I were him I would be pushing the paypal issue hard because this is right before Christmas, lots of sales, lots of packages, lots of new offers, and a whole lot of us can't buy anything except on paypal. America banks will no longer allow us to use credit or debit cards on overseas accounts. We can't write a check or even get a money order. Paypal is it. I cannot tell you how many sales and opportunities to pick up packages that I could not because paypal was down. So this is really nothing new for Cedric OR the devs. They need to JUST GET IT FIXED. No excuses, just FIX it.

Can you even begin to conceive how much heat and flak those guys are getting from management and shareholders because of the repercussions of this issue?

The software development field is an incredibly challenging one. Some problems may appear complex but can be fixed with a few hours of hard work. And some other problems may appear simple but will whip you for days or even weeks.

I understand why you're making this statement, and I don't blame you. All I can say is that at this point I have been assured that the paint will never be available again.

Paint Eternity(and others) had similar marketing scheme(and it cost 500k!, which was massive amount back then). Now everyone has it.

 

Proper lie by Tanki Online and EN community manager.

 

DO NOT BUY OR TRUST. In few months most likely everyone have it. When you loose your trust once, it's nearly impossible to gain it back. Your foolish mistakes makes not to trust offers which are marketed as ''unique'' or ''rare''. There is no such thing in this game, which is one of the reasons of downfall of TO.

Your comment is a bit unfair. Tanki Online is a business and the only reason it stays afloat is because we sell items for money. Sure, ads can carry you quite a long way, but the kind of revenue we need to support the company's growth would mean we'd have to spam the living daylights out of you, which is something we REALLY don't wanna do.

 

Selling cosmetic items makes it possible for players to support the game without non-buyers feeling like they're being cheated out of a central game function.

 

If for whatever reason you prefer not to buy anything in the game, that's perfectly fine. All players (buyers and non-buyers) are important to us, as you all contribute to the game's ecosystem in some way. But it's not fair to bash Tanki for trying to keep itself afloat by selling cosmetic items.

Therefore if my son ever decides to play this game I'd definitely advise him NOT to buy anything from your offers. Why so? Because I find too expensive to buy a paint/color-shot for 23 euros just because they are unique (hypothetically!). Soon you will find out not enough people will buy it at that price and soon we will see your "unique" items to be given in containers or elsewhere just because you will be forced to do it in order to sustain the game alive.

I'm not a marketing expert but what I propose? Don't lay only on the known buyers. Low your prices. Don't make players to see your urge for money for any reason. The lower prices the merrier possible buyers. Try that.

But I can tell you that lowering prices doesn't always work out as nicely as you predict. In fact, many businesses have dug themselves into a hole by doing it.

can you at least tell them to wait for paypal to get fixed before releasing exclusive stuff for a limited time? they want to sell things for now okay, but don't sell limited edition stuff when there are people who can't buy it.

One of the major problems: you see this as a business and we see it as a game.

 

Now I am willing to put up with a CERTAIN amount of aggravation and spend a CERTAIN amount of money for my entertainment. But only so much. It does not seem to me that the owners/devs whoever place the value on their customers/players that would please the customers/players. I was a programmer professionally (now retired) and I had to make things work to keep my job. If that meant no sleep for days, working weekends, nights, Holidays whatever. There does not appear to be an urgency of that nature from tanki AT ALL to get their stuff fixed, and there has not been in past either. Just my opinion. MM is a prime example. It is a total mess, tanki has been told it is a total mess from the beginning, and I still do not see ANY improvement. But I see shot colors, packages, new alteration, sales etc etc etc. The emphasis should be get the stuff working right THEN have your sales. 

 

I know sometimes it looks like our devs are not doing enough, or are simply slow-moving. But you need to be on this side of the fence to see for yourself the challenges they face every day. Not every company is the same, and not every project is the same. And as a retired programmer, you probably know that well.

I want to purchase battle pass so I click BUY BATTLE PASS then no payment option are available on there means its fully cleaned window.
- then I change my server location then payment system appears ,after click of payment(visa ,mastercard) web page shows THE PAGE CANT BE DISPLY ...
-- then I try on my mobile for purchase another problem happened ,here in india 4.99usd = 352 rupees and mobile show 420 rupees even the izida skin is also to costly 99.99 usd=7.059 rupees but in mobile show 11000+ rupees this is almost 40% increased priced
-- over all I want to purchase battle pass that I would unable to do it.
--- and tell me how to paste image in forum like other once paste it for evidence ..

YEA I am well satisfied with your comment but I want to say one thing that if ur programmers plan for any big bigger update in tanki THAT WILL NEVER BENN PASTED ON EVENT DAY for example (may be I am right)
now ur developer think to launch overdrive on new year celebration ,suppose this happened on 22 dec ,we are desperately waiting for decorations and then we see SERVER DOWN :D :D :D :D
