Hey tankers! No doubt you all know about the clan Deadly Army, but how many of you know about the irmembers? Tankmen and tankladies, meet one of Deadly Army's members - @Balsa

Hello Balsa! please introduce yourself.

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Hello everybody, my name is Balsa, I am 15 years old, I come from a small country called Montenegro and I am an eSports player in the clan Deadly Army.

How did you discover eSports in Tanki Online, and how were your first steps?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: I first discovered Tanki eSports when StarLadder came into Tanki. I saw a lot of advertisements, and afterwards I started to look for a team, which I found few days after. My first steps were in some Balkanian clans with some of my friends, after which I progressed to the clan Deadly Army, and played SEMI series with them.

Can you tell us more about your experiences in Tanki Online eSports?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Yes, of course. As I said, my first good clan was Deadly Army. A few years later, when I came back to eSports, I joined the best German Clan "Biological Hazard" with whom I played for 1 year. We came top 8 in clan championship 10. After HZD closed, I got invited to join the clan Peppers. I had some friends in there, and I know how to speak Russian, so I managed to stay in there. I played a lot of Blitz matches with them, I came top 8 in MoS with them, but unluckily for me, my PC died before the ending of the group stages, so I just told them to remove me from the team. That was when I went fully inactive. 1 month ago I came back, and as you see, I am already doing well with Deadly Army. :D

Wow, that sounds pretty nice! So tell me, how did you manage to get into one of the best English clans?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Kings Of Balkan played a match against Deadly Army; I played pretty well, and I guess they noticed that. After the match I got invited to a tryout by The_Only_Skilled_Pro (PlusCity). After a few trainings with them, they told me I was accepted. I liked the clan trainings with Deadly Army very much, nobody shouted, everybody only said the information about the match at hand, etc... Some parts of the trainings were very intense, and I managed to show myself off well in those situations, which is, I guess, why they accepted me.

It certainly sounds like it wasn't easy to get into your clan! Well, as I see you guys often take part in ESL, what do you guys think about this tournament?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Yeah, it was not easy for sure. Yes, we played in the last 2 ESL cups, #33 and #34, and as you may know, we won both of them. We are going to play more in more ESL cups for sure - it is great training for our players, and it has hefty, cool rewards which help us improve our garages better and better. ESL reminds me of Ranking Cups, back in older days. Every newer clan should play ESL. It allows you to play against top clans and to actually see if you are good. ESL has good staff also, they respond quickly, and personally, we have never had any problems with them, which is one of the most important things.

So, you guys managed to win against Eternity Advanced who were the actual champions. What do you think about that?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Yes, we did win against Eternity Advanced, and it was a very intense match, with TOP level drop control, a lot of flag pulls and a lot of returns. I played Smoky in all 3 rounds. First round we lost, then the 2nd round we won. The 3rd round was a penalty round in the map Cross, which we clutched 1:0 in the last 30 seconds of the match. None of the 3 rounds were easy, we had to have perfect defence, and perfect attacking, just to manage to tie the first 2 rounds. Then in the 3rd round, we started playing a bit more aggressively, but our opponents stopped the most of the attacks, and we did not manage to capture more than that 1 deciding flag.

You guys are shining not only in ESL, but also in Sandstorm, which contains 64 teams. How do you guys manage to become strong enough to reach top 3 in such a short time?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Ok so, @ShootingStarz, @CriminaL_LyF and I have been playing with each other for a long long time. (Criminal and I came top 3 in MoS 2017 together.) We've had a new member in the main XP/BP team, , who helped me with some amazing attacks. We didn't manage to do any trainings for the SandStorm because we didn't have enough time... Luckily, our teamwork was amazing, and people were surprised how well we played together. Even me - I was inactive for almost a year before Sandstorm(SS), my bro @ShootingStarz asked me to come and play SS with them so I came back. Shooting kept a perfect defence with Criminal, while Sniper and I were doing EPICLY with our Wasps in attack. It was just amazing, and we aim to continue playing well hopefully and to achieve even more amazing things.

That pretty nice! What do you expect from the Deadly Army clan in the future?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Well, at the moment, we're doing brilliantly. We've got all the members we need, in all positions, and we are training every day. In future, I am expecting this clan to represent the EN community (as it is the only clan with potential, of which, ALL the members are from EN community.) I also expect at least Gladiator paint (top 8) in the upcoming MoS 2019.

It sounds like you have the future pretty well planned out... I wish you the best of luck for your plans! What is your (and Deadly Army's) main goal?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: My personal goal is to achieve success, have fun, and get a paint with my friends so we can all have it at the same time. Our main goal is to be the best English clan, and place TOP 3 in all the upcoming tournaments.

Have you got any advice to say to other clans?

sMuOja9.png@Balsa: Thanks! The only thing I want to say to all clans is: Play with friends and people you trust, people who you have fun playing with (Not too much though ehhehe). Train in ESL and for sure, you guys will become better and better, and maybe even reach the top level of Tanki eSports. Thank you @Regency for this interview! I really appreciated it.

Deadly Army [D_A]

After a big gap of 2 years, we manage to come back and perform well. We had lots of up's and downs but we are back now with a new amazing team.

I am happy that my team is doing well and we are going on the right track.

Thanks for the Interview Regency!

Deadly Army was was one the few clans that really did stand out to be, especially during the SandStorm tournament. Wishing the team a ton of success in the future and had a real pleasure seeing them play. You're going places, lads! Keep up the great work. Good job on Reg's part too, a good read.  ^_^

Well, Top 3 was not really hard to archieve in this tournament. Balsa, don't blame me, watch me team and compare it to your's, then you've got your answer. Still, good luck to all the DA team, you really have potential, make somethin' out of it!

PS: Balsa, answer me on Skype.
