Real life tattoos - Do you have any?

Recommended Posts

Now I'm not sure if a topic like this already exist or if a topic like this is even allowed, but I'll try my luck either way.

If any of you guys have any tattoos and would like to show them off, then here's your chance to do just that! I myself have 6 and here they all are in order from the first one that I got done to the latest one  :)

So without any further ado, here are all my latest tattoos in order. From the first photo being the first tattoo that I got done to the latest photo being my latest tattoo.

P.S, please use your common sense guys and post photos that are in appropriate body parts as this is a public forum and you never know who will see them and please don't post photos that contain any profanity or are offensive in anyway to anyone, thank you. I hope to see some mind blowing, awesome tattoos from you guys that you have! (that's if this topic is allowed and will stay unlocked )

Damn, nice.

What's the story behind first tattoo?

That one is about my stepdad who sadly passed away 7 and a half years ago and I was only 12 years old at the time, so you can imagine that I didn't handle his death very well at that age. Long story cut short, he was much more of a father figure to me in the 4 years that he was with my mum for compared to my real dad during my entire life. So I thought it'd be a great idea to get a tattoo done (my first tattoo might I add) in memory of my stepdad who I loved very much as a father figure when he was still around and who I still miss quite dearly to this day :)

P.S, as for the rest of my tattoos, there's no meaning to them other than I got them done just for fun because I really love the designs and loved the sight of the designs when I first saw them :D

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. And I really do hope that me posting this topic hasn't upset you in the slightest because that's the last thing I would ever want to do, which is upset someone without meaning to.

I don't have any tattoos and don't want any. For those who have them and those who are thinking about it:

1...Tats cost more to have them removed than it was to them put on in the first place.

2...They are permanent.

3...The color fades over time. Some colors get a greyish tone after several years.

4...Don't get one that says, "I love Matilda" (GF name). Matilda may say "Bye-bye" and now you have Roseanne as a GF.

5...Don't let anyone talk you into getting matching tats. Later on, that person may no longer be your friend and now you're stuck with a tat you didn't really want in the first place.

6...Lastly, think how that tat is going to look when you're 80 years old. It may not have the same meaning. Body structure and skin tone changes over time. You may lose a lot of weight or gain a lot of weight. Either way, the tattoo will become distorted.

You want a tattoo? Go ahead and get one. Just use some common sense and remember it will be there until the day you die. There's always the chance that they will get infected, even if you get it from a place with all the licenses and precautions. Just be careful.

Wut? What wut?

Sometimes people will get a tattoo as a spare of the moment thought. Years ago, a friend and I were walking by a Tattoo Parlour. Neither of us had never been in one. We were looking at some of the samples and he decides he wants to get one on his upper arm of an attacking Grizzly Bear with his name below it. At that time, it suited his personality. I tried to talk him out of it, but he went back a few days later and had it done.

Years later. he matured and was no longer that Grizzly Bear. He had gotten hold of his anger issues, replaced those with love for his fellow man instead of hate. Now, he hates that tattoo and keeps it covered. When he goes to the beach, he hides it with an elastic wrap. He admits that when he got the tattoo, he wasn't thinking about it being permanent, he just thought it was "COOL."

I agree with this one the most to be honest with you, but it is common sense as well on the other hand. I don't even think I'd even get one if I ever get married one day as there is a thing called "divorce" - it's a horrible thing from what I hear.

But regarding 5 and 6..

5 - This is why you should be sensible and pick your friends wisely. Make friends with someone who you know you can trust with your life and with someone who you know will never ever leave your side, no matter what the circumstance is. (Well to a certain degree of course)

6 - I know I'm going to have all of my tattoos for years to come now and I don't regret getting any of them thus far and I don't think I ever will do either. And quite frankly? I don't care how my tattoos are going to look like in 50 - 60 years time, all I know is that I'll one day (hopefully anyway) be a Grandfather with tattoos and that to me sounds pretty damn cool

Divorce should be banned. When I love someone, I want to stay with her for the rest of my life.

Actually, if divorce was banned, people would think twice before getting married xD

Everyone who tries to break a loving couple should go to prison.

Lol actually divorce should not be banned tbh as a married person can still always cheat on their spouse and they more often than not get found out. So if you was married to someone and you got cheated on, would you still be saying "divorce should be banned?" :P

I read an article by a Psychologist whose main practice was premarital counseling and predivorce  counseling. He said that young people who marry as teenagers up to about age 25 marry for lust, love comes later.

As good as your intentions are when you get married, people change over time. Ideals, priorities, attitudes, interests, they all change once you become comfortable in a marriage. Changes may originate internally or externally. Jobs, children, friends, peer groups, illnesses, terminal diseases (conditions) and more can put a strain on a marriage. Yes, most of us marry for all the right reasons, but no one can predict the future.

This is a bit off topic.

^ Anywayyyyyy this is the wrong topic to be discussing things like that.

This topic is the chance for any of you guys to show off any tattoos that you have, granted that they're not in inappropriate places and not offensive (which goes for myself and which I've already done, hence why I made this topic) And I've sadly yet to see anyone show off their tattoos .-. Someone is bound to have at least one to show off, right?

Tattoos are good to have, I have one on my back that spells Wolf

As long as you're sensible with them, they're ok and cool to have :D

Tell me, just how painful (or not) was your experience with a back tattoo? Because I would like a back tattoo done myself one day. In fact, I would like my back filled with tattoos to be honest with you. Just like how one of my arms are currently.

Nah, if you wanna go for it, go ahead. If not, feel free to ignore. LOL :P

Having back tattoos though must mean that your pain tolerance must be super high right? My pain tolerance is rather high but the places where I have my tattoos barely hurt at all tbh with you. I don't know for sure if I could handle a back tattoo lol.

I have several, none of which I'm going to post.

Leg garter, another on the bikini line, a flower on the upper body, and another on the ribcage (that one was the most painful of the lot, as it's on the bone).

And a navel piercing, which was de rigeur.  Did have other piercings but those migrated out (another bad thing about piercings).

All of mine are hidden by clothing, which is another thing people getting tatts should consider where it's going to go.

Hardly.  4 tattoos and 1 piercing, none of which can be seen.

Still a big number except for wrestlers and footballers I haven't seen or heard someone has 4 + a piercing!
