Real life tattoos - Do you have any?

Still a big number except for wrestlers and footballers I haven't seen or heard someone has 4 + a piercing!

If you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all.

Would any of you get a full body tattoo? If so, would you also have it done to the parts normally covered by a bikini or speedos? I just read about a 61 year old bodybuilder who did this. It cost him $9,500.00 and took 240 hours. Since his name is posted on the website (along with pictures), I think it would be OK to drop his name for reference. HIs name is Ray Houghton.

Not full body, no.

But one of mine is roughly where the spleen is, which a bikini does cover.  Beyond that, not for me.

Hardly.  4 tattoos and 1 piercing, none of which can be seen.

If anyone has quite a bit of tattoos, its me with 6 that my left arm is covered in and I want more in the future, I'm only just getting started lol.

Speaking of, I've got two new tattoos in the last 3 weeks since I last made this topic. And here they are below.

There's nails behind the Wolf btw just to clarify in case if anyone was wondering. The nails is the part you can't quite see

Excuse the white background in this part of the text btw... The top bit I copied and pasted from when I last typed somewhere else and now I can't get rid of the annoying white background -_-

*Topic updated btw guys with my newest and latest tattoos, photos included of course*

There's not much room left on my left arm now as you can see. Next I'll soon be moving on to my right arm to fill that up, then moving onto my back then onto my chest and stomach area and then I may possibly get some leg tattoos as well. I'm quite unsure about getting leg tattoos at this moment in time to be honest with you all. But I'll be damned if I'm getting any face tattoos though, like f that lol. I've got it all planned it out already in advance  :D

For awhile, sleeve tattoos were a rage. Some looked quite nice. I saw a woman, mid 20's, with sleeve tattoos but only from the elbow down. She was wearing short sleeves. Looked tacky.

To avoid situations of regret, don't get tattoos until you are like 40 years old. That way, you will be fully mature and very unlikely to make a regrettable decision.

Alternatively, just don't get a tattoo at all. It won't make your "form" any better than it already is.

Tbh I don't get the whole "your tattoos have to mean something" thing. I disagree. I mean, if I like a particular design of something then I'll get it done if I have the money at the time. There's only 1 tattoo that means a lot to me/has a meaning out of the 6 that I currently have. The rest are just designs that I came across and really liked the looks of, still do as a matter of fact.

I don't regret any of the tattoos that I currently got done in the last 9 months as I personally really like them myself. And I don't think I ever will do either as time goes on.

But what you see as tacky, someone else might think otherwise.

At the end of the day wearers get them done for themselves and generally it's irrelevant if someone else doesn't like them.

Age doesn't magically make you more sensible.  If that was the case, then why are so many A&E staff in their twenties?  Y'know, people with your life in their hands.

Tattoos and piercings are individual to the person and everyone else's opinions are irrelevant.

The sole caveat I would say is just don't get any on the face, it's stupid in every language and can make you unemployable.

I was about to get the tattoo "qui ose gagne" ... but i got kicked out soon after so obviously i didn't after that

the reason i toook so long to decide was that.. i sort of goofed up before and was worried i would get kicked out so i wasn't sure if i should get the tattoo... after it turned out that they weren't gonna kick me so i was about to get the tattoo but then they kicked me out for something else

A&E is a TV program Arts and Entertainment. How do they have my life in their hands?

You're right. It's all personal.

You contradicted yourself. See highlights ^^ Earlier in this topic, I mentioned a guy who has a FULL body tattoo, including places that I can only imagine the pain. OUCH!!! His decision. He wanted to look his best at the nude beach. Who's to judge?

A & E (in the UK) is Accident & Emergency, aka ER.

I don't see where I'm supposed to have written anything contradictory.

People putting something where it can't be overlooked, and thinking employers won't notice, is the stupid part.

At best (here in the UK because that's where I am and I'm not going to quote US stuff at you because I'm sure you can google) you can be told to cover them up.  Trust me, if you've got something on your face or hands, you really don't want to wear Dermablend.

At worst you could be fired.

That's not me being judgmental, it happens, and it happens not just with facial tatts but ones on the hands too.

Which is why I've said consistently through my replies think through the placement of your tattoos before you have them.

Houghton, who lives in Spain and runs his own gym, obviously doesn't have to worry about employers because he IS the employer.

Note that he got his first tattoos while in the British Army.

Note also that the British Army has strict regulations about tattoo placements; none on face/neck which can be seen in passport photo, and until recently that extended to the hands and above the collar.

My point is, even the most "accepting" of employers have limits your choice of tatt can cross.
