Suggestion for Saboteur Drone

I have a suggestion for the drone Saboteur (the one that places several mines after you drop one).

 

The mechanic is messed up because it will always use 8 batteries, even if you place only 3 mines during the battle.

 

My suggestion is to use a battery only when you place a mine. That way, we can save some batteries.

 

I get why Assault and Lifeguard use 8 batteries per battle, but the work differently.

 

In my opinion, Saboteur is is different.

Developers clearly do not intend to reduce the amount of batteries being used, otherwise this would have been done for other drones too. I absolutely agree that it feels wasteful to not use your drone to its full potential, but unfortunately that's the way the mechanic was made to be.

 

With Assault and Lifeguard you get the same problem: if you use Assault and spend the whole game healing or capturing flags/points, then you won't get many kill and the 8 batteries will be, for the most part, wasted. Similarly, if you use Lifeguard and only die a couple times, the drone's potential will also be wasted.

Makes sense but Saboteur is already OP and bad for gameplay. I don't see any ways to balance this without making it too weak, however, it needs to be weak in order for others to enjoy the game.

 

So, in short, get rid of the drone and refund.
