Challenges are a limited time event which reward players, quite generously I would say, based on the number of stars—a special, second in-game currency awarded to players with every finished battle—and the type of pass they are willing to progress, Standard or the Battle Pass.

Consisting of two general passes to work on, the Battle Pass itself contains a total of fifty stages or tiers, each of which gives you a certain reward. Rewards range from a small number of crystals to batteries and shot effects to legendary skins! Completing tiers requires you to play Matchmaking battles, irrelevant of any parameters, modes or equipment. For those who are still trying to figure out the whole "star-tiered" system, let's quickly take a look at how you can earn stars in battles:

• 1st and 2nd places on the winning team, 1st place on the losing team or 1st and 2nd places in solo modes (DM and JGR) — 3 Stars; 
• 3rd and 4th places on the winning team, 2nd and 3rd places on the losing team or 3rd and 4th places in solo modes (DM and JGR) — 2 Stars; 
• All other places — 1 Star, if you were active during the battle.

How does one maximize their rewards, you ask?

 

One of the best courses of action to optimize gains from this event would be to purchase the "Battle Pass", as well as try to claim any premium time you may have. Naturally, the premium time should (if it is from past missions) be used optimally, so consider activating your premium only when you are certain that you have much time to spend to obtain stars. Additionally, this strategy will increase the number of rewards you can obtain, as it also allows a player to get Hunter XT. One other thing to keep in mind is that players should refrain from playing Deathmatches or Team deathmatches, but rather go for team-based game modes. This is because there are only three of the "top three" spots in a Deathmatch but in Capture the Flag, for example, there are six "top three" positions (three on either team).

 

 

The "Battle Pass"

Challenges have also introduced a new pass into the game — the "Battle Pass"...

 

 

...which allows you to unlock a set of bigger and better rewards for each stage of the challenge. Some of these rewards can be pretty unique! You’ll be able to buy the Battle Pass at any stage of the challenge—at the very beginning, in the middle, or even in the very final stage—and you will still get ALL the rewards from both the top and bottom rows.

 

The prizes given by the Battle Pass will be stacked on top of the normal rewards (i.e. completing tier 50 will give you both Firebird and Hunter XT Skins). Both levels of prizes will be visible in the interface, so at any time you can see the rewards you’re currently getting, and compare them with the rewards that you could unlock with a Battle Pass. You can purchase a Battle Pass directly from the Challenge window. The pass is sold in the Shop for $4.49 and will only be valid for the current challenge (e.g. the pass will disappear after the current challenge is over and you will need to buy it again if you want increased rewards for the next Challenge).

 

Premium Account players also get additional advantages during Challenges. In addition to its many benefits, a premium account now also double the Stars you earn in battle. This means that if you have a premium account, you will be able to reach the final stage of the challenge (and the biggest, coolest rewards) twice as fast!

Yes, of course. Challenges will also be available on the mobile version.
 
How do I claim my rewards for completed stages? 
Prizes are automatically awarded as soon as you complete a stage. You don't have to wait, click any buttons or manually claim them.
 
How do I check my progress? 
You can view your progress at any time in the Challenges tab. Additionally, for each new stage reached, a notification will alert you in the game.
 

 
Can I complete the Challenge with friends? 
Sure! The only restriction is that you must be playing Matchmaking battles. Regardless, it makes no difference whether you do it alone or as a group.
 
What advantages does a Battle Pass give? 
It significantly increases rewards for completing challenge stages/tiers.
 
How do I buy a Battle Pass? 
In the bottom left corner of the «Challenge» tab, you will find a button that will take you to the section of the Shop where you can buy the pass.
 

 
What happens if I buy the Battle Pass, but have already completed some or all of the stages in the current challenge? 
You can buy the Battle Pass at any time while a challenge is active. As soon as you buy the pass, you will receive all the rewards from the gold row up to your current challenge level.
 
Will I keep all of my rewards when the Challenge ends? 
Of course, the rewards are all yours to keep. Just keep in mind that a Battle Pass is only valid for one Challenge. So, with each new Challenge, you require a new Battle Pass.
 
Will I still get some rewards if I don’t buy a Battle Pass? 
Of course! But you will only get the rewards from the silver row, not the gold row. The Battle Pass will give you the rewards from both rows.
 
What will happen to the "Easy Stars" Pass? 
The role of the “Easy Stars” Pass will be taken over by the Premium Account. So, Premium will now allow you to earn stars twice as fast (just like the Easy Stars Pass used to do). The Easy Stars subscription will be removed from the game.
 
What kind of rewards does the Challenge offer? 
The current Challenge consists of the following type of rewards: crystals, containers, supplies, batteries, Gold Boxes, Premium Account time, paints, skins, and shot effects.

It is possible, that in the future, Challenges will have some sort of special missions that award players with stars, helping them complete stages even quicker. These could be of the following types:

• Earn experience with a specific hull, turret, drone or such or on a specific map in a specific mode;
  • In-game missions that require you to do certain movements, like flip someone, flip yourself, do a barrel roll and so on;
  • Make a series of kills (in quick succession);
  • Get onto buildings or similar stuff like that.
• Challenges could be made so that there would be extra tiers in the end, which you could purchase and get extra, random rewards.
• Rewards in Challenges could be made totally unique so as to not having been released before and after that Challenge ends. Players would no longer miss out on new rewards nor complete a step for nothing.

That just seems to be adding another pointless layer to purchases. First I thought you needed PRO battle pass for this, but apparently this is something completely different. Not even a premium account allows you to collect these gifts, what the hell?

 

At this point might as well just buy crystals, loot boxes or kits and nothing else, because this isn't worth it, considering you pay to still put effort into getting something.

Premium account only doubles the amount of stars you earn in one battle. Example you get first place on the winning team, without premium you will get 3 stars, but if you have an active premium account then you get 6 stars.

Nope. That always happens. The reason it is after post two is because they are so long.

 

Check any other topic with a full page of comments, the background goes away about halfway down the page.
