Confirmation if you want to vote someone out

Recommended Posts

So when I was parkouring, I accidentally voted a friend while trying to see their profile.  This happened two times and I'm pretty sure it happens to all people.  Maybe there should be a confirmation like "Are you sure you want to vote [user]?" so that people don't vote other players without meaning to.

Same for adding a friend, sometimes a player might want to check someone' clan and the chat is moving so he/she might end up sending the other player a friend request.

Confirmation boxes are never a good thing, especially in-game. Just think about the confirmation pop-up we used to get when opening the garage and how much of an outrage it caused (it got removed eventually). So it's best to avoid them whenever confirmation is not entirely essential.

In case of the voting mechanic, there is absolutely no need for confirmation. If you accidentally reported your friend for a violation, a whole number of things need to happen in order for it to have bad consequences:

  1. Other players need to have voted against your friend as well (at least 25% of all players in the battle).
  2. A moderator needs to join the battle
  3. Your friend needs to be seen violating rules while the moderator is there

So unless your friend is actually breaking the rules when you accidentally report them, there is no risk of anything happening from it.

Vote should definitely also be changed to REPORT, it is plain stupid to have a positive word for reporting someone.

Maybe people think Vote = good player?

Absolutely. Even when writing this post I wanted to avoid the word "vote" because it sounds confusing. In the Russian interface the button says "complain".

But can there be a confirmation box for changing missions?

But can there be a confirmation box for changing missions?

I feel like after the XT missions were removed it is no longer necessary.

Well, I believe in this case, it is essential. For these big things

Which big things? I explained in my post that voting a player in a battle is not a "big thing", since a number of other things need to happen in order for there to be actual consequences.

I don't really care about the xt missions, what if someone miss clicked and accidentally changed a mission that they were fine with to a mission that they absolutely hate?
