More Protection Slots - Variable Max Limits

How can you not afford a Twins module?

Save up for it - even the stock 35% will make a huge difference on small/medium maps.

 

Everyone can afford to have 4 modules, even if they start off at stock. If a player can't afford 4 modules they've made the decision to spend the crystals elsewhere. Has nothing to do with being a "buyer".

Sorry I meant 4 maxed modules. Getting 3 above 40% is itself costs a ton. Anyway, I will max out grizzly first. And I don't find twins to be a big enough threat. I can always hide behind obstacles and lay mines. Hiding behind walls is useless against thunder because of the ridiculously OP splash vs most twins users disabling splash. Against, twins you can out range and pick em off with railgun or striker but this is very tricky when tries against thunder. So many reasons like this. Twins module is simply last of my priorities.

Of course. Every good Thunder or Smoky can shoot you across the map, knock your aim and cause your Rail to miss and your Striker to break lock-on. As a Titan Smoky player, I always use Smoky and Thunder module.

3 slots 50% each and 4 slots 37 37 37 38 is fine

Or the total could 160, so you could have:

 

50 50 50 10

40 40 40 40

50 50 30 30

 

WIth adjustments of 5% so it's easier to adjust.

How will you feel if you join a battle with 5 enemies wearing 50% against your turret? Then you change your turret, and now 6 players have 50%!

Yeah, that will cause more Grizzly modules plague. I feel your pain when that happens to you. And sam as myself.

 

Literally... I see 6 enemy tanks spamming Eagle modules while they are something else, I just leave the battle immediately.

Many people delude themselves here by stating the total number of turrets in the game. Just because there are 13 turrets doesnt mean you need protection from more than 3. The devil is in the detail. A more appropriate method is to see how many turrets are actually used and more importantly how many players use each turret in a naverage battle. Right now, having 50% protection from hammer, firebird and twins/thunder is enough since these are the moat OP ones. Moreover, its selfish to ask for more protection slots. In this game, not only you need to make kills. Everyone else in the enemy team should also have a decent chance at killing you. That's what fairness is whether you like it or not. Tanki intentionally made it this way so buyers won't be ridiculously powerful. Besides there are so many p2w features which give you people a massive lead over non-buyers so there is no reason to be greedy for more.

True that. 50% is literally OP as hell. Problem is only heavy buyers have the advantage to have full M3/4 14 modules under Marshal.

how about make modules an upgradeble feature for each hull? so like, other than the upgrade hull feature there's 14 other stuff to upgrade on each hull, each one being the protection from the 13 turrets and the mines. the cost for upgrading to 50% from one turret will be equal to the cost for buying a m0 module and MUing it all the way to m4. this way, you'll need to spend 7 times the crystals to get 50% from everything on all 7 hulls.

you only use 1 hull at a time and this is what most f2p people already do so... 

Just like you can only have 3 modules equipped at one time.  But most players (including f2p) have > 3 modules.

 

I have minimum 2 or 3 hulls.  If I want to use either of them I'd need to pay double the crystals I do now?

 

That is called Pay-to-Win as many players can not afford to double-down on their investment on protections.
