I have an idea:

 

Remove supplies and convert the ones we have to batteries/enegy cubes. So the only supply we have will be batteries/energy cubes. Simpler game for mobile version too.

 

Recharge Overdrives in 2 minutes flat and when we use it we consume 1 battery/energy cube.

 

Make all Overdrives available to all hulls. Maybe introduce Hull alterations. And new protection system.

 

Remove Drones and refund crystals, and adjust missions to economic balance.

"We know many of you are eagerly awaiting this new feature." I'm not one of them, so the later the better for me. Associating Overdrives to each Hull might be the worst idea in Tanki history. And God knows they made a lot of bad things previously.

 

But it's funny what the voices said after that. "The few who aren't [...] haven't understood how cool Overdives will be for the game." Don't beat around the bush and just call us stupid because we don't like your Overdrive idea, so at least we can say you are sincere...

 

The thing about optimization sounds good.

 

The video of the week was good, and the shot to rank up was impressive.

wasp is already dead. you never see it being used in any battles anymore because its outdated and simply overpowered in every situation. hornet is slightly more usable since you dont flip as hard and slam against the wall every time a rico shoots you, but other than that, light hulls are practically useless now. for some reason the devs nerfed hunter crazy hard with its speed and weight, and its okay, but still underpowered. and heavy hulls are fine as long as you dont go for flags. now, i dont know what the hell it is with the devs and this hull, but just please, can someone explain to me what kind of obsession exists with viking and the developers?

 

its used everywhere, in every map, in every mode, in everything..the thing is, its overpowered. BY A LOT. i mean, this thing accelerates 3x as hard as my m4 wasp, and its so freaking frustrating when im hitting top speed with a flag(12m/s) with a nitro (+30%) when all of a sudden a viking acclerates from rest and has already broken the sound barrier, caught up with me, killing me in 1 second with an isida and i have 40% against it. it really shouldnt be like this, light hulls have low health for a reason...to ESCAPE, go FAST, and to not GET HIT... but when the other team has vikings with 150% of your health with practically barely less speed and a lot more acceleration you begin to realize that light hulls are useless. they need a massive speed increase.

 

i mean, this is just so annoying because everyone uses it, and it gets on my nerves when the whole entire DM is filled with viking hammer duplets, which makes the game so limited and unoriginal since everyone is using the same equipment in every single map. not only that, but that alteration is OVERPOWERED AS HELL. LOWER reload for FASTER shots. WHY? 75% of the time im using wasp, i will change a song im listening to, or drink some water quickly, and i look at the screen and i can hear 4-5 hammer shots echoing in the map to find that im already flipped and i cant do anything about it, and then next thing you know theres 4 hammer viking fighting over a flipped wasp that weighs a tissue. in the vlog just to piss us off (wasp users) they showed duplet and explained alterations as "not really giving you an advantage".

 

how ignorant can you be! why do you guys just forget that the game has big maps and revolves around key players designated to flag duty? wasp is simply unusable because it flips too much, MUCH more than it should. and this stupid overdrives release that the devs arent releasing because they are drooling and frothing at the mouth to make viking even more powerful. so now its going to do more damage AND shoot quickly? i hope this isnt a joke because its not april fools yet. and why does mammoth get a speed DECREASE during overdrive activation? mammoth users are patient and help their team take cover from all those endless hammer shots, so why are you making it bad when it deserves to be better?

 

the priorities are always screwed up in all these updates we see, and no one ever addresses an alteration rebalance or light hull rebalance. if youre going to make viking shoot faster and do more damage, you might as well do an update to remove wasp and hornet from the game. also, rico is overpowered because the developers basically turned it into a shorter range weapon with THIRTY+ shots. definetely not surprised if it gets an increase in damage.

I just tested the Engineer Drone on Wednesday and it was not sharing the effect to team mates. So is it really a problem of the description?

The engineer drone always shares whatever box you pick up with all teammates. It has to recharge. If you roll over two boxes in quick succession, the second one will not share and will not receive the bonus time for your tank.

 

It was a feature they added some time back. It was mentioned in the vlog. Apparently, they forgot to update the wiki until now.

I agree with most of what you say.

 

Viking, probably unintentionally, was favored in kits. It was also favored by players because of its stability and its super acceleration rates, that is, before The Great Leveling. I'm sure you remember the massive update that changed the parameters of nearly everything, making things a lot more alike. Shortly after, if I recall, they switched to three basic hulls. As you say, the light hulls are severely disadvantaged as is.

 

I'm not sure what you are seeing with Vikings being able to keep up with Wasp. Maybe hacking. M4 Wasp is 12 speed and 24 acceleration. M4 Viking is 9.5 speed and 14 acceleration. It isn't supposed to be able to keep up. 

 

Viking and Hunter have swapped more than once, to many complaints. The last one made the Hunter the best overall hull, but everybody had their Vikings upgraded, and not their Hunters. Hunter is now most stable. We'll see if the new overdrives improve gameplay. I'm not optimistic. 

 

The hull speeds are too slow (except Mammoth, which is a little too fast). Wasp should be wicked fast (which I occasionally see, which I usually assume someone is hacking, but it so hard to prove, and so cumbersome to document and submit the documentation).

 

It was nice, so long ago, to have such significant differences between the hulls (and the turrets). I used Viking most, but Wasp, Hornet, and Hunter used to be such sweet rides. Now, the lights are worthless in some matches, and Hunter is always worthless at less than M4. Oh well, and I realize you probably know most of what I've just written, but I don't have better answers, and you know how tightlipped the Devs are.

 

Isida, also, is the single most overpowered turret.

 

The alterations and drones make everything a nightmare to figure out how to play against. Again, oh well.

It is true that Wasp is useless now, you spend too much time respawing to be able to have a meaningful impact in the battle. It is so unstable, when you don't die, you are upside down. Hornet is not better, at least you stay on your tracks doing an hand stand, so unstable you can't stand any recoil from ricochet, twins and vulcan. So many mine around it is impossible to go for the flag with light hull. The new overdrive will definitely kill the wasp.

 

Medium hulls are the only way now.

It is true that Wasp is useless now, you spend too much time respawing to be able to have a meaningful impact in the battle. It is so unstable, when you don't die you are upside down. Hornet is not better, at least you stay on your tracks doing an hand stand, so unstable you can't stand any recoil from ricochet, twins and vulcan. So many mine around it is impossible to go for the flag with ligh hull. The new overdrive will definitely kill the wasp.

Overdrives = strategy killer

What's the point in playing chess when you keep wiping your opponent's pieces off the board?

 

Any rekindled interest that came with alterations will soon be wiped out when these overdrives are introduced.

I already hear players moaning because they've invested in this or that, only to see those investments made pointless AGAIN at a touch of a button.

I tested it another time with one mate in the same team in a pro battle just now. I did not collect a box and only the mate collected a DD. Once he did that, I activated my DD. His and mine supply ended at the same time with the same activation time. In addition to that I had no drone cooldown once he collected the DD. So there is no transfer of effect on team mates.

 

I know that they announced that feature a while back and I think it was implemented back then, but apparently it was deactivated in the meantime.

 

 

Never mind. You are right, I misunderstood how the sharing is working. I thought that those team mates that pick up the supplies will get a prolonged drug effect. Instead it is dependent on the picking up of the player with the equipped drone. When I have the drone and collect a drug then the other get the drug activated as long as the bonus time is defined. I got it now.

Still not optimistic about OD . Needlessly complicated . I repeat it , this game was easy to learn , no manual needed , just start account and shoot some tanks . And if not in DM things doing so try to catch a flag or a point . This makes the game attractive to as much people as possible , and also made hacks easy to spot . Nowadays , apparently somebody got a Saboteur drone since the base is suddenly covered in mines :blink: ( i just pick that 1 since it is easy to get my point ) , and you cant see who it is . You need to learn all the tricks people can pull out of the box , no way anybody can see it is a hack or not ( other example : lifesaver drone on exploding GB ) . 

And now they are starting on special OD , with big impact on the gameplay ... not good imho .

Keep the game simple , attractive for new users of all ages .
