Declined Suggestion to revive tanki!

I've been a player of Tanki since early 2013, and I absolutely enjoyed playing this game throughout the years. I used to play this game with my brother and sister and made a lot of memories while doing so. I've also met a ton of friends I still enjoy talking to, to this day. I'm not going to go into full detail on all the good or bad updates that went on within the time frame of 2013-Present, but I will say that I stopped taking the real matches serious and competitively after Tanki added the new matchmaking system which prevented people seeing good battles to join. (Yes I know they fixed it up recently, and I bet it's really good now but still, that small mistake was the turning point for me and probably many of the older players)

 

One of the best updates they've ever added in my opinion besides the modules was the clan creation one. I remember staying up late and getting online right when the update launched to buy the license and create the clan [Drug], which got suspended because it's an "inappropriate name" even though everyone calls the power ups drugs, but oh well this ain't the post to talk about that.

 

At the moment and for the majority of 2018, I've only came on and played in parkour matches to talk to the community and to my old friends, and because I love the nostalgia I get from playing this game.

 

Now what I think would get a large group of OG players to come back is to add some sort of "Old School Tanki" which falls back to one of the more older popular updates (Preferably before they added the new matchmaking system, and possibly overdrive) and continue to update that old school Tanki from there without going into the direction you're currently on.

 

I know this'll probably be taken down by a moderator since talking about reverting to the previous versions isn't allowed, but I'd love to have this up to see what the communities reactions are to something like an old school tanki opening.

Sorry, but you're right - ideas about reverting tanki online to a previous version are not accepted. It would be a terrible business decision since there is very little demand for it and an enormous amount of work required to make it happen.

I was suggesting this before but there are a lot of new players who haven't played the old tanki and they never had memories there. So, bringing old version would mean a big loss of players, like if there's 30k online now, it would decrease to 10k. I would like to play the old version too, it would be nice, but it's risky for devs and economy, so...

 

and if you really want to play old tanki, register gtanksonline.com and have fun here! But there aren't a lot of players there, and it's 2010 version of tanki so you would get bored of oldest graphics. I was playing this game at this time but believe me it comes not really fun, because we don't have the same mind, we grew up etc...
