It's a business. Players who buy are the customers, those that don't are the product.

 

We are here because of our addiction to it (and it always will be addictive as long as we can blast other tanks in different ways).

 

Some players learn how to cure that addiction. They're the ones who leave.

If u complete all 3 weekly missions....For 3rd Lieutenant rank, increase in weekly containers gives these rewards over the course of a year......

1560 Batteries

468,000 Crystals

 

 

So that's an increase of.........

1560 extra RK's a year

23400 extra supplies

780 extra batteries...98 extra battles worth.

234000 extra crystals

Pretty big increase of guaranteed income IF you can complete all weekly missions. Biggest problem is some daily and weekly missions just plain suck.

 

Missing out on 156 regular containers a year sucks too, there's a certain amount of enjoyment in anticipation when opening a container. Getting a nice reward is a good feeling. Hopefully the plans with challenges, Main missions and WAR will help us all get to open some extra containers.

 

For me personally....bottom line is that doing missions for regular containers is more appealing than doing missions for weekly conts.

So it remains to be seen if I lose interest in missions and don't bother with them and just do basic 10 missions a week(if any due to aforementioned sucky missions)

 

Balance changes.....

Always the same. Nerf.Buff.Nerf.Buff Nerf.Buff.Nerf.Buff.$£$$£$£$£...Nothing new here.

I've spent a lot of time analyzing container rewards since they started, and they haven't changed as much as you suggest. Even though they have introduced many new paints, the chance of getting paint hasn't changed (it's around 7%) We have batteries (7%) and shot effects (2%) now, too, but the chance of getting crystals appears to have increased since October (now 30%). What we have fewer of is supplies (down from 59% to 45%), although I concede it may not seem like it when you get a run of 125xspeed boosts).

 

The big crystal rewards are rare. And now you'll have to play for twice as long to have the chance to win one.

Over past month my rewards from "door-number-1" containers have been really meh.

 

At this point I'd rather have the guaranteed extra crystals over more mines/SB etc and a tiny chance at 10k crystals

An average normal container contains 2888 crystals and 99 supplies (and about 7% of a paint, etc, but let's not go there)

 

Over a year this is 450,528 crystals and 15,444 supplies you no longer receive.

 

So it looks like at 3rd lieutenant, you will gain overall in supplies, but significantly lose in crystals.

 

And as most folks at 3rd Lieutenant have thousands of supplies in their garage they can't use, there's no real gain in that either.

 

This update is designed to reduce the number of crystals in the game.

"regular containers" also had a lot of crap in them - high proportion of supplies you might already have in abundance or useless soccer paints.

It's been quite some time since I've seen 10k crystals or 25k crystals. NEVER seen the 100k crystal reward.

 

You are forgetting the part where they give us more weekly containers.

If we get more weekly containers don't we also get more crystals from those extra containers?

I'm not forgetting that at all.  The weekly containers have mostly drugs and a very small amount of crystals...especially at low ranks.  One regular container with 3500 crystals more than outweighs a couple of weekly containers.  And if you ever do get a 10,000 crystal container, that outstrips many many weekly containers..even weekly containers doubled.  Then if you do get lucky, and get 25,000 or 100,000 or the glory and the dream 300,000 or even 1,000,000 crystals they outweigh double weeklies for months and months if not years.  Even the 3 or 10 days of Premium dwarfs the weekly containers.  And, obviously, the fewer regular containers you generate  the more limited your chances of hitting any big reward.

 

I found that saving regular containers up to 10 or even 12 pretty much assured me of getting some valuable reward.  But now that is going to take a couple of MONTHS of grinding missions.  I've already stopped using this acct because of the amount of effort needed to complete missions.  I use a low level account under rank10 because I can complete missions easier so I can generate enough income to be competitive, but now that will be slowe or even stopped.

You lose 3 normal containers per week (156 per year) if you're the kind of person who completes all your weekly missions every week.

 

If you complete your missions over 2 weeks, you will lose 4 normal containers every 2 weeks, or 92 containers per year.

Challenges are a whole different thing then weekly missions, shouldn't even be compared..  :wacko: 

1.Not everyone had the time to get 2000 stars.

2.Weekly was free, Didn't have to pay $5

Weekly missions

 

Change in the distribution of weekly mission rewards. Previously, completing all 3 tasks awarded 6 regular containers and 3 weekly ones. This has now been reversed — 6 weekly containers and 3 regular ones.

What was the motivation for this change?

 

Weekly containers are pure trash. Unless we get like 15 per week. 6 weekly containers is not enough.

 

And why you reduced the number of regular containers?

I too save up until I have ~ 10 containers.  Then open them all.  Last batch I got one 3500 crystals. rest were supplies or paints.

Can't recall last time I saw 25k container - 2 or 3 months ago... maybe.

Have Never (in two accounts) received 100k container.

 

For me - I'd rather have more guaranteed crystals from weekly containers than gamble with the "regular" ones. 

Of course not everyone agrees.

 

I agree this might have bigger impact on lower ranks since weekly containers are scaled to rank while regular ones are not.

But - I have no issue with it since a W01 getting 1M crystals would be just ridiculous.

As for changing the items you bought - that's just how the game works. Things need to be updated and rebalanced all the time, so no matter what you buy, you can expect that item to be changed any day. It's in the game's EULA, which we all agreed to.

It may be in the EULA, but that does not make it right or even ethical...it just keeps Tanki from being sued.  With almost all business models, when a customer makes a purchase there is an implied understanding that the customer will get what they are buying.  In Tanki, what you buy has nothing to do with what you will end up owning in the future other than you know that it' parameters will be changed.  A player buys, withreal money or in-game currency, what they feel is the best equipment for them in the game at one point in time.  They spend their income to upgrade it and then Tanki makes that equipment virtually worthless, so you invest in something else and that goes to hell.  It's legal because of the EULA like you say but it is inherently WRONG and borders on sinister.  

 

Things need to be updated and possibly re-balanced occasionally...but they do not need to be in a constant state of flux and arbitrarily nerfed, buffed, nerfed, buffed.  Actual balance has absolutely NOTHING to do with it.  It is a money grab plain and simple.  The players buy, Tanki changes and forces different purchases...constantly.  Tanki is a callous and unethical business.

When the mission chains were going we received 5 weekly containers after week 10 was reached.  Over 4 weeks that's 20 weekly containers.

 

Now with different levels of missions, many players will complete some, but not all 3 missions every week.

Lets say over 4 weeks you accomplish the following containers... (a lot depending on the daily missions and that 1st mission)

3 + 6 + 5 + 6  = 20 weekly containers.

 

AND... you get "regular" containers as a bonus - also dependent on what specific missions you drew.

 

Seems like we get AT LEAST as many containers as we used to - and good chance for significantly more.

Why not give 1 container and 12 weekly ones

Weekly containers : no luck just some usless stuff

 

Container : 100% luck ,fun to open , suspense , something u tell ur friends about , 10000000% better than weekly

Do you all realise that we are just a band of inconsequent son, and that TO can't care less about our opinion and they never come here to read whatever we write, right?

 

So... Why the effort to even come here complaint?

 

This is their game, they can do whatever they want, and there is no complain or public identity / consumer defense that protect players and say to TO, "hey that was not what players agree when they start playing". Revert or pay fines to continue using servers and not being shutdown / censored in some / any country.

Actually you are wrong about that one, helpers do collect all the feedback and send it to the office on weekly basis, kindly check here. So any feedback posted by players of the community is collected by its helpers and sent to devs. What they are going to do with it is up to them, as you said yourself, it's their game. But it's not true that devs do not have direct info or knowledge of what players say.

While I wouldn't really call this a "nerf" to either duplet or uranium, it's still a welcomed development nonetheless.

 

Guess I'm in the minority of players who actually like the reversing containers thing. Containers were almost always useless to me, and not a proper reward for completing missions, I'd much rather have a knowable reward like weekly containers than the random junk I used to get.

I include crystal equivalent from premium days (2,500 per day) and gold boxes (1,000 each).

 

I've opened 855 containers since they started, and logged them all. I've received 1,948,500 in crystal rewards, 215,000 in premium daily crystal rewards and 300,000 in gold boxes, a total of 2,463,500 crystals (equivalent), or 2,881 per container.

 

Maybe I'm lucky, but it is a very big sample.

wow actually some good updates. I'm sad about striker because uranium actually takes skill and I think the damage was earned.... but the rest are pretty accurate.

10% reload time is not a huge nerf tho.
