Important changes to the game

How many battles did you see Isidas healing each other all the time?  Maybe 10% of battles?  They gonna change a turret drastically for 10% of the battles?

 

And if teams can't figure out how to kill 2 Isidas healing each other - maybe issue is not the Isidas...

Definitely more than 10%

 

I found isidas annoying to face in battles when they are just healing eachother and messing up gameplay, there needed to be a change

Is that detailed in WIKI alteration descriptions?

If an alt affects impact (like smoky alt) it is detailed. 

 

The wiki entry is a bit ambiguous, but from using all the twins alts there's definitely an impact difference between Plasma Accelerator and the rest.

Can anyone actually say the wiki is 100% accurate and up to date?

I say this because Accelerator/twins has definitely had a nerf between May 29th when I left, and Dec 24th when I came back, and there's no mention of that in the wiki.

Two of you couldn't kill two isidas? :o

 

Speaking of "messing up gameplay"... Challenge will be back soon.  Nothing like 3/4 of the tanks playing TDM in a CTF or CP battle. <_<

Small nerf? Yes. Huge -50% healing damage nerf? No.

Ok the -50% was allot but they also buffed the nanobot alteration by allot so now it's like the standard isida is mainly attack and healing for side benefit and if you want to be a healer you can take nanobot for the 100% faster healing and less damage.

 

Now at least there won't be an OP isida with high damage and high healing ability

And I still see Isidas in battles healing so it wasn't that big of a nerf to stop people from using it

 

EDIT: Also Isidas energy consumption is reduced for both attacking and healing and points for healing a tank is now 15 instead of 10

Isida was my main turret from the rank of Gefreiter, and stayed my main turret from 2014 until now. The new update makes it near impossible to repair or heal teammates before they are destroyed.

I can't actually remember a single update that has made Tanki Online better as a game. I've been in the game for six years, and have never been more disappointed than with this update.

Idea for Highways map

 

On the Highways map maybe removing the houses in the middle and replacing them with columns for the bridges would be better. The columns would block some of the sniping.

i honestly don't understand why everyone is complaining about fewer containers... didn't they hear that challenges are now EVERY MONTH!? that's 10 extra containers a month even if you don't buy the battle pass

How is that relevant to someone with one account?

Yes, someone with one main account and ten low-rank alt accounts might well get 6 containers and 3 weekly containers off each, but the prizes they win are not going into one great big pot they can use on the main account.

I'm talking about way back in 2014, I think, when we only had the daily gift, and the complaints were about daily missions replacing the gifts.

Isidas never could do both as much as you imply.  Attack for 5 seconds and you are not healing anyone.

 

And I'm not gonna shell out crystals for an alt that nerfs my damage by 50%.

 

I've used the "new" Isida.  Fine for getting kills.  Way too slow healing to save anyone.  So guess I'll be more selfish and use some of those 11,000 DD sitting in my garage.

The change to Highways was unjustifiable. Elimated all that was good about that map. Terrible change.

I hardly see any difference. They just turned the middle houses 90 degrees and shortened the map by a few prop lengths.

There should be two burning temperatures, one that you get if you get too close to Firebird, and the other if you are at a good distance. With diferent burning damages.

 

Because I'm seeing lately that Firebirds don't even get close to you to damage and kill you, they just blow some fire from a distance and go their way expecting you'll die soon.

 

Also, protection from a turret should protect you even from that turret's altered effects, like a Magnum protection protecting you from mines that a Magnum with the mine alteration.

 

Isida; I played some battles with it and I did well, in two battles I did Finish Top 3.

It's all part of the plan so people buy more drug kits.  :rolleyes:

Well your personal benefit from healing has been increased since its 15 points now and less energy is taken from Isida, what is changed is the rate of HP healing is not OP

I used Isida a lot yesterday using the nanobot alt. I frequently came top of the scoreboard by just healing and using mines and made tons of crystals (81k). I didn't make many attempts to kill anyone because I'd invariably come off second best but I did make some kills with it.

 

The healing power is better than before as I used to get 380 per quarter second using double damage. Now I get 400, it lasts longer, heals quicker and I get more points doing it.

 

Isida is my most used turret but I do have a complete m4 selection to chose from. I spent most of yesterday sitting behind other players keeping them topped up and defending. My Crystal to experience ratio yesterday was 6.2 and I've not had it that high for a long time.  Yours was 2.9 but you didn't play isida (just rico and smoky). I checked :ph34r:

 

Personally, I like the changes made to isida but I'm disappointed tanki didn't address the turrets that require two protections to defend against. You already know I think vulcan is game spoiler and I made a point of sitting behind some vulcans yesterday in TDM mode to check it out. I came top of those battles thanks to 15pt change, we won but it was boring. The opposite team didn't have a full compliment come the end of the battle as it was hard to break us down.

 

Of course matchmaking is a killer and there are plenty of selfish players out there. Isidas want to help and the amount of players who don't make it easy are numerous. If isidas had a motto it would be, "Help me help you!". Some players are always in a rush to die.

which is why this update is good. at least with more weekly containers you get more crystals... better than 6 paints a week... my last 10 containers on differeent accounts were all paints

My thoughts about the new container system:

 

The only I played MMS was to get containers. I dont hate MMS, I just prefer XP/BP or other PRO battles.  I still played MMS because with the containers, there was always a chance of getting an XT, shot effect, cool paint, or whatever. Even if I didnt get lucky, the suspense was always fun, like the lottery. Weekly containers arent the same. Yes, we still get 3 normal containers, but to me its not enough to justify playing MMS that much. Some people say more weekly containers are good because they give you more drugs and make it easier to play MMS for free players. Thats not wrong. But If Im not playing MMS anymore, I dont really need those drugs. There is no real incentive for me to play MMS anymore. I dont mind that, but if many people feel the same way about this, the efficiency of MMS will drop. I dont really mind the update itself, but I am worried that if there is less incentive to play MMS, the devs will make it PRO battles less lucrative to get people to play MMS.

I'm not denying the Isida can heal well and even score well when equipped with the alteration.

 

What I object to is the ALL-OR-NOTHING way they've pigeon-holed it.  Either heal OR Attack.  Nothing in between.

 

And I have no interest in spending battles just healing.  That's plain boring.  IMO the loss of flexibility ruins the turret.

 

 

Crystal to experience ratio also includes mission rewards correct?  I'm at end of week and had no missions left and barely played MM - just starting some of those "daily" missions that can take 5-7 battles to complete.  I played more Pro-battles, which though more fun can be less rewarding crystal-wise.

It's the same for both sides

No. Just crystals from battles, no rank ups, no golds... just battle rewards.

Pro battles for me are full of mults and sabotage. I tried to play but every time there is a space on my side, a clan member from the side I'm playing against joins my side and sits idle. 

 

Matchmaking is work now. Everyone drugs constantly and those booster drones wipe everyone out. Players that had kill stats of 100 per hour are now reaching 180 per hour or more. It doesn't help when the side you've been given is a bunch of useless sponge brained dopes who don't know what day it is.  It is less fun, I agree.

With the new Isida try using more Doble Damages when you're healing and more Double Armors when attacking. First day it felt weird to me, but the second day I new what to do and I was still attacking and healing.

 

But I think it may not be good for everyone. I think my idea of a healing to attacking and attacking to healing switching delay with equal healing and attacking parameters would be better to balance Isida.
