Post your watches, and your "dream" watch.

My current watch is a Seiko Chronograph. It was a gift for me when I was in 7th grade. Had it for 5 years now.

I remember when I looked up the retail price, it costed 250$+. But now it's worth is like 110$. Sad man :/

And my dream watch is a Grand Seiko SBGE205G. I know it's not flashy but nevertheless a masterpiece.

Are you the kind of person that would wear a rolex on one wrist, a digital watch on the other but still use your phone to check the time?

I honestly don't see the point in having a watch - I can just use my phone instead.

I would like to have watches with integrated water gun because Why Not?

If someone splashed water on me, I could fire back xD

An integrated taser would be more interesting.

Currently have one of these, ridiculously good value if you just want something to tell the time. I'd like to get a Timex Weekender at some point though.

Your knowledge of watches must be vast. And no, I only wear one watch at a time and currently, I only have ONE.

I wear my watch to look at the time and because it's an accessory. Even if I had the money to buy 10k$ and above watches, I would NEVER. max I'd go is 3k$.

I'm allergic to the nickel that encases the watch. The only kind I can wear is one that sits on a band that goes between my wrist and the watch. In my younger years, I used to live by a watch/clock. But now that I'm retired. I don't own any watches and the only clocks is the one on the computer and my alarm clock. I go the bed when I'm sleepy, I wake up when I wake up, eat when I'm hungry. If I have an appointment, I start getting ready 3 hours before hand, take my time and leave when I'm ready to go.

I buck the trend and have 15 watches, at the moment.

Different watch for different outfit or occasion.

Relying on a phone is okay, nothing wrong in that. Nothing wrong in using a watch either.

Ah timex weekender, kids I used to go to school with bought timex watches and swapped the straps with the fake gucci straps.

It's like buying a chrysler and changing the logos with bentley ones.

Is that first watch a Citizen? Looks a lot like one I have.

Which one, there's two Citizens in there.

One horizontallly at the bottom of the pic, Citizen MFD.  They did it in red, green and orange.  Here in the UK we only got the green one (and sales bombed - no one liked it).

There is another Citizen in the pic, top left corner, titanium one but they've brought out a few variants of it since mine.

Forgot to add my dream watch: not sure.

Sorry, I didn't read/answer your question properly.  Yes first watch is a Citizen, it's this one, but they've done many variations of it since 2006 when I bought mne.

Do you really need dozens of different watches?

Don't need, but nice to have.

Do you really need more than 1 pair of underwear?

Watches are not clothes, they are devices. Having 2 watches is like having 2 calculators, 2 mobile phones, 2 computers or 2 televisions.

this is probably my ultimate watch

all i need is about £2.3 million to buy it

take a look at this guys its just mind blowing

having an overly expensive watch is like having a odourless fart, no one really cares unless you tell them about it

Hey,

Timepieces, such as the one @smokeyh2 has showcased above is not for day-to-day use. As a matter of fact, it is worn very little (if at all). Timepieces at this price, roughly $2.6 million ("£1.978 million") if we're talking about the piece being showcased (that being the "Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 5175"), are a collector's item; a limited piece. The timepiece in question is a limited edition of six pieces. The price of the said timepiece is bound to go up, making it an investment rather than an extravagant spending habit.

With that being said, contrary to popular belief, Patek Philippe is one of the most recognized and best timepieces in the world. Period. It simply has exceptional craftsmanship. It is not purchased to gloat but as an investment; think of it as a piece of art — because that is exactly what it is. For this very timepiece, it took more than 100 000 hours, over eight years!

Unlike Rolex watches, it doesn't exactly matter if people recognize the watch when/if worn because that Patek Philippe's goal. Those that do recognize it, however, you'll be sure to have a great conversation with.
