At long last a blog

Well the skins do loOK techo but the paint makes it look like garbage (that paint on which someone vomited and some Christmas lights were there on it)

Still not satisfied with the container update

You guys are just trying to make money through useless cosmetics

They are doing well. What do you expect them to do? Make 100 turrets and 500 hulls and make %99 modules only for buyers?

I would like to see more skins in this game, instead of M85s.

When I said, they should add 100 hulls or turrets? I said only fancy stuff left to be added. Re-read one more time.

"Prime" is a really bad name for the skins, not gonna lie.

And they're going to make XTs look very old. Still, XTs still far better than the Legacy ones.

Preserving the economy of the game is not a good reason. Now you get 1 less container a month if you complete the challenge.

Previously

4 weeks × 6 containers a week = 24 containers a month

Now

(4 weeks × 3 containers a week) + 11 containers from challenges = 23 containers a month

More effort for 1 less container.

Do they think they can fool players that easily?

Next time you make a lie, try to make a really convincing one. :D

Why you made the changes about containers? Because of challenges?

Lame excuse, Silver tier gives low amount of containers. Not everyone will buy your battle pass. I did not buy it this month, I haven't played one minute this week actually.

Prime skins... It does not solve the lag issues and MM.

War challenges...

It looks like you want to always release new stuff to keep players on the game. But you should also take care of the problems in the game.

Nice! XTs are useless now, Prime is trending.  <_<

I dont think so. XTs give a fancy, majestic kinda look whereas the prime skins look more high-tech or something. Unless all you care about is whether its "trending" -_-

Hey,

In my opinion, going towards the 'pay-for-cosmetic' business model is a wonderful thing for all players, especially the majority of non-buyers — the free-to-play users.

Instead of releasing updates that benefit the minority (the buyers), going towards the cosmetics side will allow both the buyers and the non-buyers to have an equal chance on the battlefield. Now this, in no shape or form, is saying that Tanki Online is or has completely shifted its way to the 'pay-for-cosmetic' model, however, what I am trying to say is that the more cosmetic-related updates are released, the better: non-buyers get to make sure they are not at a disadvantage in the battlefield; buyers get to make sure they look fancy, cool and on-trend with their 'designer-skins' if you will and Tanki Online gets to make revenue from it. A triple win for us all and happily ever after it was.

They could, on the other hand, add a tremendous amount of pay-to-win updates that will attract the eyes of many buyers but is that really what you want, is that really what we all want? Let us all have the pleasure of staying away from such updates for as long as possible believe me, my Firebird and Hunter M3 will not let one survive in a Matchmaking battle. Ask around...  :P

Battle mods are not payed with money, they get in-game benefits. Since battle mod is a very powerful position, they have to be very careful about who they give that power to. I actually would apply but Im 2 years too young..

i know that. it is because they are not paid there's not enough people willing to do it. if you pay people to do it then we can have more of them.

Hey Zloy,

Helpers of the Game, such as Battle Moderators, are players like you and I who invest their personal time to make the game a better place for us all. They are volunteers and do not get paid real money. If you feel you have what it takes, I'd recommend checking out the attached link below.

you were explaining that cosmetics are a good way to make money as the alternative would be p2w elements.

I'm saying that it's not the only alternative.

investing money to start hiring battle mods instead of relying on volunteers could attract more players and help tanki earn more money too.

there are many other ways to earn more money. it's not just either cosmetics or p2w stuff.

I doubt more battle mods would be more attractive than cosmetics. There are very few hackers nowadays.

Hey,

Just to clarify, I didn't say that it was the only way. I simply stated that the cosmetic rote is far better of us, as players than pay-to-win updates. Of course, there is and always will be numerous ways to make money in a game such as this and that was simply one of them. Adding more cosmetics, however, is something that is far more likely to happen than hiring paid employees in the form of Battle Moderators.

There are also alternative ways to help get rid of game offenders (such as hackers) without being a Battle Moderator or any kind of helper for that matter. I am quite sure you are well aware of the Game Reports section (on the Russian Forums), where players like yourself can record such offenders and report them with valid proof, which will then be examined by one of the Battle Moderators and dealt with accordingly. I have linked several useful links that may come in handy below for your ease.

battle length is 7 minutes. video length has to be at least 5 minutes. so if he starts hacking more than 2 minutes after battle starts... you won't even have 5 minutes to meet the minimum video length.

and they never come in battle because there's not enough of them. which is why we need more. I'm not gonna be admiring my cosmetics when I'm getting tortured by a hacker.

Fact is that Tanki is not just “going towards a pay-for-cosmetic” business model. They're going towards selling both aesthetic and huge battle advantage for buyers. Hence the reason there's always someone shouting “pay-to-win” or “greedy Tanki” every time there's an update.

Hard to argue against that when there's........

  • Big drug kit in shop for early ranks. Spend some money and you too can create a new account & smash up a bunch of newbies, even if you're a highly experienced legend. YAY!.

  • Battle pass for challenges yields massively more in-game rewards than standard prizes. Bought pass myself for the 1st challenge & gained loads from it, the aesthetics were a bonus. Didn't buy for this challenge cos I don't have the time and wouldn't bother with the challenge as a non-buyer. Cos I know the non-buyer rewards are scraps compared to drugs needed. Exchanging a huge chunk of F2P drugs & time for aesthetic gain & other rewards that don't justify the expense is a noobs errand.

  • Much earlier rank unlock for shop kits.

  • Expensive Modules, Drones & MU's that non-buyers or small buyers are hard pressed to be competitive with now, compared to buyers that can have it all instantly....albeit for a nice lump of cash.

  • Deliberate introduction of Overpowered equipment that it's far easier for buyers to take advantage of than anyone else. e.g. Buff freeze to make it OP, everyone wants freeze & freeze modules, Tanki put freeze modules in the shop, amazing coincidence. Another example is nonsense addition of OP alterations.

Minor battle advantages are fine, it's a business. Tanki sells pretty big advantages though...If they want to go down the purely aesthetic route I'm all for it. I have my doubts.

Hey,

I think you misunderstood my point in that short paragraph, Tanki Online hasn't shifted all of its way to the 'pay-for-cosmetic' business model but for as long as they keep on adding new cosmetic items, rather than 'pay-to-win' updates, it is better for us, as players (see "Source A").

I was replying and giving my opinion to the gentleman who was complaining about Tanki Online releasing cosmetics rather than something that (and I quote) "attracts people's attention" (see "Source B").

I hope that cleared up some doubts and once again, in no shape or form, am I saying that Tanki Online doesn't have such 'pay-to-win' updates but the less of them that are released and the more cosmetic-related ones are released, we can all be one happy family.  :D

Agreed with every single point made in this post.

Free users can somewhat compete but it takes a lot of time and effort for them. When you get up to Legend is easier, the gap isn't that noticeable, but down there, "the new player experience" is just trash.
