Hello tankers,
The time has come for me to say bye.

The last year has been the most trying time of my life for reasons I won't go into and I need to focus on myself now. I'd like to thank those friends who have stood by me during this time and helped me through. I know I'm not out of the woods yet.

Playing tanki is now too time consuming what with missions and challenges, and honestly, it's really no fun anymore for me. I have enjoyed all the friendships, the rivalries and all the banter that goes with it although there is little enjoyment to be found these days.

The HOT clan - I can honestly say some of you guys brought me joy and I won't forget all the good times we spent smashing those clans who loved to hate us.

The Z0N3 clans - I'm happy to have known you guys too.

Just some thoughts on the game itself:

Matchmaking doesn't work. It strives to balance the sides but I find when I'm playing on my own, my side tends to be full of players who are unable to turn their turrets or are happy to sit in the back of a CTF battle playing like it's a TDM. This while the enemy side are rabid drugged-up wolves attacking in numbers, organised and with purpose.

Mission-mults spoil games. These are the players who enter a battle to complete whatever missions they're given. Some of these missions should have been scrapped a long time ago.

There is too much power out there now. The booster drone, when m4, is double-double damage so 50% protection doesn't mean much these days. Take Vulcan for example. That can be a game spoiler in some maps when equipped with the incendiary mix alteration. I do it myself to retaliate and quite often people leave, especially if there is more than one and an isida backup.

3 protections only against 13 turrets + mines + drones + overdrives + alterations. There is no balance anymore. In order to contribute, players need to be playing, not continuously respawning. Free Repair kits are kept deliberately scarce too while speedboosts are thrown at us from every angle.

I know some of you want to say tanki is a business and needs to survive. Sure, I get that but the fun factor should not be neglected in the process.

Pro battles are full of mults or raiding parties or both. Nobody can deny this. Punishments are nowhere near severe enough.

Should I mention the constant game errors?
I could probably go on all day but I won't.

Thanks for the 5 or 6 years I spent here but I need to move on now.

This was bound to happen as this game is going in a wrong direction.... no fun only money. Lots of other fishes in the sea, tanki is not the only one . Cya absolutezero, others will follow soon :)

All who play this game past an present can see where this game is headed if they dont start to make changes for the good no 1 will stay but so far all the changes they keep making in recent times only drive more an more away daily its a shame i used to love this game but like others ive left i find something else sorry to see you go AZ but as we all can see this ship is sinking easy to see when tanki goes from an average daily base of players of 80 k an now down to less than 20 k the outcome is proof in it self that the direction they have taken in the past 2 years has been wrong an they need to make corrections to back when times were good or lose what they have forever

good friend and for being a good leader, I won't forget the amazing moments we had in HOT. It

 

was really fun fighting along your side and I hope one day you return so we can kick $ again. ^^ 

 

The problem with tanki is the developers them self not the game, they just keep adding stuff

 

hoping for more money without thinking about the repercussions just like you said, the OP alt of

 

the Striker and Vulcan and also the new drones, completely ruined the game and also i'd like to add

 

 

the nanobots for Isida and how players use that to power level and take the 6 stars for the

 

challenge, and more and more of fun aspects that been ruined by developers and their awesome ideas.

Good luck and thanks for everything you've done to our community. We all share the same feelings about this but we didn't give up on the game, they gave up on us, other wise we grew up playing this game and made a ton of friends through it.

If tanki has any sense about them they will take seriously the words for which Zero wrote: The Matchmaker, MM, is a disaster (I call it Matchbreaker, MB), I myself have been complaining ever since it was introduced. Zero has told me many times how "the transparency of the game is gone now". With match breaking, we are forced to go into an unknown map (and unknown mode if quick battle is selected) and could end up playing against anyone, even friends or players from your OWN clan! It doesn't make matches, it breaks them. 

 

The 'balance' of the game was supposed to be restored with a recent update, yet it was done in such a way to promote the use of Vulcan and Isidas working together. I remember seeing a certain post with "Welcome to VulcanIsidaonline", they have no idea how right they were.

Thank you for your dedication to this game Zero, and thanks for maintaining the biggest druggers forum, I think we all loved those stats!

Sad to see you go, AZ, but life goes on and we have to keep up with it or it'll leave us behind. Decisions have to be made and life comes first. Good luck to you and all your endeavors. Try to remember all the good times and the bad times won't seem so bad after all. 

 

I'm not at the point, yet, where I want to say my final goodbyes, but Tanki is no longer the addictive go-to game any more. I log in, read the forums, leave a wall of text and then leave. I may play for about an hour or so when the mood hits me, once every two or three days. You're right, it's no longer the fun game it used to be. Too much stress to compete. I have enough stress in my life without a game adding to it.

Unfortunately, I never really got to know you, but I have heard of you via your reputation. It seems you have presented logical ideas, which I would say I agree with, but I would also say that nothing will ever happen on these ideas, which is a shame.

Ahw, just noticed this topic. Glad you're moving on with your life, definitely won't be a regret leaving this game for sure as it is possible to achieve something so much bigger in real life than here, on Tanki. Hopefully everything goes well in your life but sadly the 'Biggest Druggers' will not be that activate anymore.
