Hello Tankers this is a noob player @BRO0088  back with a new topic and my first topic on this section.

This topic's aim is simple whether nicknames have any significance in this game or not and if they do then what kind?

Feel free to discuss and debate but make sure your not break any Game rules on the process.

In Matchmaking, no. In a really long battle where players actually interact, it's possible they do, but unlikely because players are judged on where on the list they are.

A nickname is something that helps create a persons identity, who they are as a player, how to find that person again and possibly their reputation in the game. I'd say nicknames are pretty important, it's something that separates us from everyone else and a way to be creative in our own way when creating our nick.

For example I got that nick due to my special paint (jk)

Roses are Red, violets are Blue, Ninja has the best name or something.

I think names are mostly important between friends, its always annoying to me when I dont see someone for months only to discover they've been there the whole time.

Changing your name destroys my (unrealistic) imagination of what I think you look like as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree with his "spoiler" at all :P

I don't think it matters that much honestly, but format battles are a whole different thing. Players with random, long or childish nicknames are assumed to be newbies while those one-word names are generally taken as players that might be on a professional level.

Personally, I do not think it makes a big difference, and when I see a person with a good nick, I don't care. And some people who have cool nicks are arrogant :p

Does not matter much, but what I have observed is that the more catchy and attractive your nickname is, more people will wanna talk to you and be friends.

Example my name. Its nothing so amazing or creative.

But in this Russian game, many people use those numbers and letters... (Russian-English)

If I used JleTeHgaPu_CaPnM

Which simply means: Legendary_Sarim, not much difference right? But it looks way more cool and attractive. Many people would wanna be friends with me and talk with me.

I just don't understand how people think that "Nicknames" affect your personality.

When in battle, I can't make out the nicks anyway, never could. They look fuzzy, maybe a little blurred. If I feel I need to talk to a player, I have to get really close, see what letter combinations and/or numbers, look at the battle list to see if I can find those combos. Or I might say "Wasp/rail quit blocking me." or something like that. On the other hand, a battle may be too intense to chat.

Yes, nicks give us individuality, like our real names, but usually I'm more concerned with how everyone plays as a team rather than the individual player.

What I personally think is Nicknames defines ur personality the type of action they can expect the more unique name the more superior the people will think of and Girls fall for cool nicknames easily xD

Nicknames:

1. Help build connections. Nicknames that stand out often get friended by more players leading to more player-run events and opportunities (clans, gold rains, etc.)

2. Good nicknames motivate you to play. A nickname is like your identity and you want to show it off in battle using your skill. When I play with a bad nickname like sensei_tanker or somethin like that, im not very motivated to play, hence why i stopped playing.
