There will still be challenges, they just themed it.

They are calling it a WAR not a Challenge.  No mention of tiers.

And you pay 5000 crystals for a paint to enter (like they did in the last WAR).

 

It's clearly a WAR not a Challenge.  With one prize, not many.

Yes the paint you will choose (out of those 9 animated ones) will stay in your garage permanently incase you win.

To clarify, you don't have to do anything besides buying the faction paint to participate in the WAR. The same Stars you earn for Challenges will also count towards the WAR. So, win-win :-)

Not stars that you earned this month. The WAR starts on the 1st of March, along with the March challenge; any stars earned for the February challenge won’t matter.

So you try hard, spend lost of supplies to qualify but end up in some stinker battles near the end, avg drops and miss out.   LOL.

- How is your average calculated?    If player drops from battle before it ends... = not counted?

I wonder if it might have been better having a Challenge with separate tiers/prizes.

Similar to having two Challenges run together, join the men's team get one set of tiers/prizes, join the womens and get a different set of tiers/prizes.

 

All this for one paint, which you stand a very good chance of not actually getting anything for the effort.

With Challenges the most you stand to lose is a maximum of 60-ish stars, if you didn't complete a certain tier before the end.

The rest you actually claim/get/win as you pass each number of stars required.

 

With the WAR you stand to lose however many supplies you blitz through in the vain hope of winning a paint.  And that's going to largely depend not on your own effort, but that of your side.

And that could be an awful lot of supplies.
