Women’s Faction wins Gender WAR

So much about this event which is unfair:

1. Charging you 5000 crystals to play, and you don't even get to keep the paint afterwards.

5000 crystals aren't easy to come by these days, what with the reduction of containers for daily missions.

2. Rewarding winners with a paint rather than anything of any use, like crystals, containers, etc.

So this is a contest for paint collectors only.

3. Not rewarding those on the winning side who have below-average scores.

75% of you will get nothing for your 5000 crystals, not even a paint.

4. Making it a contest of who plays more games (the more you play, the more stars you earn), rather than, say, the average stars earned per game, which would show who the strongest team is.

The winning team will be the addicts who can aim for 2000 stars over a month. Even if you're very good at the game and earn, say, 2 stars per battle you play, you'd have to play 1000 battles over 28 days - that's 71 battles per day. At 5 battles per hour, that's playing for over 14 hours per day, plus breaks.

Well, play it if you want to, but it's a lot of effort for a 25% chance of receiving an animated paint, for the cost of 5000 crystals.

Then don't buy the paint. like me./

It is optional, you can only play the March Challenge without participating in Gender WAR if that's what you want.

1..        The 5k crystal entry fee is presumably to limit sabotage...you have to pay 5k on each of your alts before you can plant them as saboteurs in the enemy faction to drag down their average. A better solution would be to simply remove the (non) contribution of saboteurs in each team from the Team averages scores....Thing is though, Tanki could be doing something like this anyway because it will inevitably increase both team averages significantly. It's in Tanki's interests to eliminate mults from the event, food for thought for those thinking of spending 5k to mult the enemy, could be a complete waste.

2.        If you win the war, you will have done pretty well in the March challenge...so you will have received reward. Rewards are nowhere near rewards from past wars though.

3.         True, Rewarding only the above average star hunters is designed to constantly push players to keep chasing an ever increasing Team average (barring sabotage and people that give up)

4.         Agree, don't even get why they're scoring this war like this. Many will be playing hard for the challenge anyway, so no need to make another event running at the same time that also encourages playing non-stop. Playing to maintain a good stars-per-battle average is far more interesting and literally the best team will win, rather than the most no-lifer team.

Wait im not clear , so the winning gender gets animated paint only and if he has the average of his faction stars ?

or even if the losing side has average he still wins the animated?

The winning faction will be the one with the highest average number of Stars. However, only players who have scored equal to or more than their faction’s average will get the paint. The losing faction does not get the paint

I agree terrible idea
As a girl I think pink is a bad choice of paint for girls' side, but hey let's continue stereotyping and I might join the boys' side

speaking of stereotypes I would like to point out that your username is fluffy kitten

Also when will the paint expire from the garage?

Your observations are correct! But you don't know that I've had this account since mid 2015, and I was a lot younger then, my name might be typical of girls and I have chosen very girly names in the past but sometime ago I changed a bit. However, is the stereotype of my name affecting everyone else? Let's focus on the problems with this Gender War and not focus on individual players' names, thanks and bye

Fair enough, peoples' perspectives on things change.

However, I would like to express that you have hastily concluded that I was saying, that your username was affecting  others by asking the question "is the stereotype of my name affecting everyone else" which is not true.

I was simply pointing out the hypocritical aspect of your previous comment which has now been cleared up.

Also when will the paint expire from the garage?

At the end of the Gender WAR at 02:00 UTC on March 29, the Lady and Gentleman paints will be removed from all garages.

What a rip off! apparently its a temporary paint  <_<  kinda want my money back...

These paints are temporary. They will only be in the game only for the duration of the event.

Cringe is the word for the theme...at least in many places around the world.  Please don't make the next theme Gay vs Straight.

Why not go with Red vs Blue, or Tooth vs Claw, or Square vs Triangle, or even something invented like Pliganfort vs Bafeldom?

As far as the contest itself goes, it's another underwhelming set of prizes.  The paints are nice but, for me, I wouldn't pay 5000 crystals for one.  And as a contest, after paying 5000 crystals, my faction might lose leaving me with zugatz.  I just noticed that even if my faction wins, there is still a good chance I get noting for my participation if I don't meet or surpass the average number of stars collected by my faction.  On top of that even the faction paints disappear after the contest!...very lame.  Would it have been prohibitive to give the winning faction 10000 crystals or ten containers on top of the paint?

It will be interesting to see how many participants there will be...my guess is that we will not be seeing too many pink and blue paints for this poorly conceived contest.

"Cringe" is the weenie reaction alight, and you have quite correctly pointed out that many males around the world have been gelded.

I'm not one of them.

Are you?

Your criticism of the prizes, however, is spot on.

Tanki - this is a lame-o contest. Did some GIRL choose the prizes?

This is an additional event to the challenge in March. You'll be able to earn all sorts of rewards for completing the tiers.

YAWN!

I do believe that my stereotypical name seemingly affects you as you took the time to point out supposed errors in my answer as well as making a point of my name in the first place, and my name does not affect the majority of players in Tanki Online. They simply don't care. I don't care if they care. So let's forget the minority (you) who are affected by my name, and do what's best for the majority, those who just want to play this game and read this topic without having to read unnecessary replies like the ones you and I are posting.

I think we need to revise the definition of 'stereotype' again:

A conventional, formulaic, and often oversimplified or exagerated conception, opinion, or image of (a person)

Based on that definition, it's impossible for you to stereotype yourself or your gender by doing something or using a certain type of nickname, unless it's on purpose I guess. You are just being you.

The Gender WAR is optional, you can just play the Challenges as usual without buying the paint if that's what you prefer. And I agree that it shouldn't be Men vs Women bty...

I think it would be interesting if one of the upcoming wars would be about choosing a specific direction of plan for tanki.

An EXCELLENT idea!

It should be "Matchmaker GOES" v. "MatchMaker STAYS" and by total points, not some stupid "average".

If "Matchmaker GOES" then it's removed and NEVER COMES BACK!

And make the entry fee 50,000 credits.

having these events is really not the problem . its more the rewards from them. that I mainly have issues with. seeing this is my first time in a long time going I'm going  for the glory gifts  . i find the rewards don't  reward players enough , its great to get these paints but on the other hand not great mainly when your a buyer or a player who won them in contests or other. I would rather see special rare paints items that you can only receive in these events. for the drugs that are given its nothing compared to the amount we use to get to the top glory stage. right now for me I have used well over 900 battery's and I'm only on tier 41 . also the rewards for points is another area for improvement , such as players who score 1 point but in the lower placement with in the battle and having only 200 - 280 experience points only get 1 point . but when in other battles and you get less then 200 and in top place you get 3 / 6 points for it. I feel the rewards points should be more based on the experience score not placement in battles. also the points system for non buys needs to be improved if tanki wants more players to join in these events.

Matchmaking also affects this Gender war (like you said - cringe). I got placed in a legend battle in this account, and obviously got 0 stars.

This whole thing is probably to make players exited about the real WAR, or for players to not get bored until the real war arrives in late summer.

It's about having players use up supplies in the hopes they can meet the team average, and then sell more supplies to these players that no longer have any.

Simple economics.
