So I took an short hiatus from TO for slightly more than a month, which was quite enjoyable despite all the real-life work I have to do instead. 

 

But now, there are no recognizable names on the forum (except for maybe the viking4s guy) left lol. What happened? Where did everyone go? Is TO actually dead now? Did history repeat itself with the rehiring of Cedric Debono?

 

I'm probably done with TO very soon.

Hope u r good!!???   I still try to play at least one or a few games most days.  Of course, I still haven't reached any Legendary status yet, and once I can fulfill that lifetime goal, maybe I may be able to rest a little more peacefully.

These days, I'm pretty sure the current Challenge has preoccupied and/or drained players from chilling in the EN forums.  Not to mention that the loss of passionate forumers like LittleWillie has made the EN Forum less vibrant than before.  Even so, the only way to restore some healthy forum activity for the future is if the quality of gameplay in TO genuinely improves.  That way, more players will be happy coming to the EN forums as opposed to being tired, frustrated, and angry at Tanki.  There's only so much disappointment and discontent a forumer can take and/or express before they simply stay logged off, after all.  I'm sure OKDad70 knows what I'm talking about...

I just stopped playing in October and rarely do so, mostly just to see how updates are doing. After the last containers update, I just gave up on this game. Now one must be wondering why I am not on forums then (since that's where I mostly go after taking breaks), let's just say the inactivity in general as well as the arrogance of newer forummers is a major factor.

 

Now I have switched to casually playing a few other games and rarely play this one, even if I am online I'd just chat then go off.

what i have noticed is that most newbies in the forum only login to complain and rage at the game, since if they rage in chat, mods will ban them but what they don't know is that raging in the forum will also result in their posts being removed ;p

From my personal experiences in these forums, most newcomers either express their praise for something they find nice in Tanki or (if they are really newbie) post their topic several times to try and make forumers notice them.  The discontented newcomers I do find typically drop several of their frustrated comments (commonly on the latest meh/controversial TO update) before eventually logging off from the Forums for good. 

 

One such newcomer that I remember was this Major/Lt. Colonel player who was upset with how Isida was balanced at the time and decided to post their own ideas on fixing the issue.  As much as their topic(s) attracted some back-and-forth discussion on Isida, the player eventually gave up on their ideas after a couple of weeks and declared that they were migrating to WOT (OOooooh , that'll show Tanki!) and left in a huff.

I think it's because most of us have discussed just about everything that's relevant to the game. And in the I&S section, we're running out of creative ideas for the game.
