Ability to buy stars

Recommended Posts

Have an option to skip 1 Tier, 5 Tiers, or 15 Tiers each for a certain amount of crystals or real money. Of course it would have to be expensive but it gives people a chance to reach the Final Tier faster.

Basically what you're suggesting is the ability to buy stars, so I edited the title. I doubt it will be implemented, since being able to buy stars discourages players from actually playing the game and reduces the game's online player count. Besides, I'm pretty sure that in order to be balanced with the economy, the prices would need to be ridiculously high to a point where the majority of players would not consider it to be worth the price.

I don't like the idea, but if it was an option, I think each tier skipped should be at least 100 USD. EX: skip one tier = $100.00. Skip 2 tiers = $200.00. Skip 3 tiers = 300.00. Not $100.00 per tier, but each time you skip a tier it will cost $100.00 more than the last one skipped and you would not get the awards for the ones you skipped. Like this:

Tier 5-Batteries...skip for $100.00

Tier 7-Sweater paint...skip for $200.00

Tier 9-SB...skip for $300.00

Tier 12-SB...skip for $400.00

Tier 17-Hohloma paint...skip for $500.00

And so on.

Not too many players would be skipping tiers, but the option is there.

Hmmm. Tanki doesn't seem they can care less about there player count. Am I correct? you can't deny it!

Why wouldn't they? More players = more customers = more revenue. As a business, why would they ever NOT care about bringing in more customers?

Nope. Make the tier-skipping cheaper. Too expensive.

Nope, if they want to skip it then make them pay for it. Otherwise, earn it. No easy paths. No wet Nurses here.

Buying stars would probably end up unbalancing the game, this gave free players an opportunity to get items easy just by playing, yes you can get more prizes with the battle pass, and even double stars with premium, but you still can get quite a bit as a free player.

Also, with them running contests, you can't really buy to increase your odds, I mean you can with like premium, but this would make those challenges like this months gender war, unbalanced, and really would probably decrease the participation of future events.

It would have to be expensive, but I think that would ward off some of the community... again 99.5% of the community is P2W so it might not matter.

99.5% P2W?    Seems way too high.    I would guess more like 30%-40%.

$2-4 per tier is much more realistic than $100...

$100 Was probably "tongue-in-cheek".

But... the higher the Tier, the more it should cost.  Kind of like it takes more Stars to advance each time.

It was not intended to be "tongue-in-cheek." I was serious. If it was done the way Hexed suggested, $2-$4 per tier, here's how it would play out. A buyer would pay $4.00 to skip a tier, but still get enough stars to advance to the next tier. Skip that one for $4.00 and get the stars need for the next tier and so on. There are players who put a lot of money into this game without giving another thought. I had a forum conversation with a player who said that he allots $100.00 per month for gaming. At the moment, Tanki was the only game he was playing, so Tanki got $100.00 per month from him There are others who spend big bucks on games. $4.00 would mean nothing to them. They could advance up the ladder in a few days, buying their way to level 50. If all levels were skipped it would cost $200.00. For $100.00 they could skip 25 levels while the rest of us are struggling. Talk about unbalanced!!

Let's take another perspective. Player Alpha isn't interested in paints, supplies, batteries, colored shots. His only interest is crystals, containers, gold boxes and the Shaft XT. He could skip 29 tiers for $116.00 and play only 21 tiers. His entire take would be 104,000 crystals, 40 containers, 16 Gold Boxes, the Shaft XT and the Hornet Legacy, which he isn't interested in. Of course there are tiers where he would got supplies along with the crystals and containers.

I am sorry if I am offending the person who made this, but I ask you to please decline this currently under review topic. Do you know how unfair buying stars would be? Five times more unfair than the already-unfair buying crystals.

You're basically buying the items given in that tier, so the price should be the same as the price of crystals you need to buy to purchase all the supplies and paints from the challenges (as well as money for golds, shop paints, containers, prem, etc)

Even buyers should have to work for their stars.

Damm right...if my children are eating dust...buyer's children should eat the dust too. At least we should have 1 similar thing.

How would you price shot effects and challenge-only paints?

There are not any challenge only paints

Lighting Storm? Silver bricks? Are these available in containers now?
