                                    NOMADIC RELOCATION IGNITES CIVIL WAR

What's up everyone and welcome back to the studio. After quite a long break the team is back and kicking. Yes, I did say "team". @Person_Random has joined me in bringing you up-to-date news and weather forecasts within the tankiverse. You should be expecting roughly an article a month from us here at TWNC. We have a lot of goodies and plans up our sleeves for the future so stay tuned. Without further ado, let's get into today's hot topic. This is the Tanki Online Weather & News Channel at six.

Thank you for joining us today as we will be examining a highly relevant issue that has taken form in the past few months. I know the topic of this article has left some scratching their heads, so let me elaborate. I, your very own Pythor, have just recently returned from the wastelands of Massacre with some very disturbing news. It seems that in recent months a group of nomadic peoples have been forced to make their home among the hills and valleys of said map Massacre. Apparently, a wing of the TO development team has been in support this idea for quite a while now. They claim that the nomads previous location on the bottom floor of the map Highways was a hindrance to the road construction team working to repair the constantly deteriorating bridge surfaces. After a top secret dev meeting, hosted by Mr. Ponytail himself, it was unanimously agreed upon that the nomadic group must be relocated. Massacre, being yet unsettled, seemed like a perfect location for the people. Within the following three weeks, working at amazing speeds, the nomads erected two whole series of log cabins, one at each end of the map. They seemed to be relatively happy in their new home, harvesting an abundance of rice, which grows quite well in the low areas of the map.

However, it seemed that the nomads were not indeed the first people to inhabit the land of Massacre. The native tribe of that region made their opinion of the move known by etching strange and gruesome pictures on the nomads' cabins. Over the following few days, bands of 2 to 6 native natives frequently sallied into the nomadic camp, hurling rocks and other objects at various cabins. Thankfully, none of the buildings have been too badly damaged, and none of the citizens seriously injured. That is, up until last week. On the morning of March 3rd, in the early dawn, a tribal war party raided the south camp and dealt severe blows. Two nomads were reported dead, pierced by rounds, and a score of others wounded and in need of immediate care.

The very next day, March 4th, after hearing the news, I boarded a private plane and flew down to get the scoop. Upon arriving, it looked to me like the whole map was a war zone. A crude series of barbed wire fences had been erected through the middle of the region. The south nomad base was in a state of confusion, with citizens stockpiling ammunition, and leaders trying to restore order. Just before nightfall, the news spread throughout the camp that war had been officially declared against the fellow inhabitants of Massacre. The next day, not wanting to be stuck on the map during an all out war, I flew out.

No new updates since then have been received on the state of affairs in Massacre. We can only hope and pray that a quick and bloodless end might come to the conflict. One thing is for sure, here at TWNC, we will keep you in the know about what is happening regarding the civil war.

Thank you for tuning in today to this live broadcast and we hope to see you next time. This is Tanki's very own Weather & News Channel at six.

Article approved.

Love the piece; it serves as an entertaining explanation of recent updates to Massacre and Highways. The only problem is that it has now left me wishing that the devs could make something like this for every map update

A very accurate piece; a delight to proofread.

Edits:

  • "Up-to-date" is hyphenated
  • I split up the paragraphs a bit, with an [.hr] in any major breaks to try and make it smoother to read.
  • I changed "6:00" to "six" to avoid confusion about am/pm
  • A few other minor spelling/grammar changes.

When did I become a business owner??

What type of sauce, sir?  Also, would you like some fries?  Excellent work though... I've got to work it and get a banner up and running.

BBQ sauce I guess :)
