Episode 206 of the V-LOG is live!

I sincerely think that the best idea is to launch the overdrives right now, if the errors that you have identified are at that graphic level that you showed in the V-Log, then it does not affect too much, besides, surely when you release them in the main servers you will find more bugs and details to polish, so the earlier you update the game with all the balance details that you will do, the sooner you can solve everything and earlier we will adapt to the new game mechanisms, in this way the game will come more stable to its birthday :)

What happened between the Prime skin prototype and the in-game result? Are we missing something?

The proto is clean, cool and sleek, while the in-game looks tatty and old, very much less appealing...

Yeah, and because of that it looks like a modern Legacy skin. I'm guessing if TO ever wanted to update their graphics, this is what they would look like. 

 

But still, that antenna...

plz can we have a break for the next month's challenges? this thing is seriously concerning me about the health of players

atleast 1 week

otherwise within the end of this year, everyone would pretty much be dead

And because of what you said in the vlog, I have an idea:

Make the Challenges last 25 days.

Make 2500 Stars the total number needed to complete a challenge.

Then we should be able to earn from 1 to 5 Stars in a battle, unless we don't earn a minimum of 25 points.

I posted an idea about Star distribution based in 5 before, it's like this: 5,4,4,3,3,3,3,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,1.

A 25 days Challenge would also leave room to promote the next WAR paints.

what about for those who score 500+ even 700 in 7 minutes?

What about them?  

 

It's a team game (unless your in DM).   If half the players won't be getting stars the system will fold.  Players wont care.

 

Should this just be about the top 3% of players in the game?

100% agree on 25day challenges , leave about 1 week in the middle where you can announce next challenge and where people can relax game a bit more . You know that the players who are around nowadays are pretty much the hardcore players ( around server reset theres less then 4k online on most occasions ) and they will try to get the challenges if they are interested in the prices .

This way you can get the players back around the playing field since i do know plenty of people who do not do the challenges , so i barely see them anymore ( they play pro only ) , and i do know im not the only 1 in that case . 1 week off is better for everybody , hardcore challenge players can relax a bit for 1 week , others can stroll around the servers to find suiting battles .

Point distribution , im ok with it as it is or as you suggest it also . Only problem i got with it is when i enter a game and its been going on for 2 mins and the team is wiped out , then unless you can turn battle around ( happens ) , you most likely get 0 stars since the battle will be over 1 min later . Thats not fair , since you werent there from the start there is no way you can make those 70 points in a minute in a wipeout battle . There is a solution but it is very hard to program i guess ( 70 point for 7 mins , makes 10 / minute , so if you enter after 3 mins in battle , you need to make 40 points ... )  .

Drones balance? It seems like saboteur mines' will last 30 seconds

Thought they last until they either 1) explode or 2 ) the layer dies.

 

Mortar (magnum alteration) mines last 20-30 seconds...

I reckon that it would be best to release the overdrives at the start of the next Tanki Online holiday. That would give developers plenty of time to fix all the visual bugs and fine tune the overdrive effects as well.

 

Developers announced in V-Log 206 that the overdrives are working perfectly without any bug, but there are imperfections only on the visual effects of the overdrives such as the red and blue done of Titan that overlaps. The overlapping dones and the disappearance of the red done needs fixing. Hornet's visual effect looks wrong when players enter the garage during battles.

 

All those visual effects bugs that are currently imperfect must be all fixed, so that everything such as all the overdrives and their respective visual effects can all be released at the same time.

 

To give a good treat to all players, I suggest that its best to release the hull overdrives so that players can be greeted with a holiday present that they shall never forget.

What on earth else could be "coolest news ever?" 

 

Here's my guess ...Discounts are going up from 30% to 31%.

I'm pretty early here, but I'm guessing it's either overdrives or another bundle thing, hopefully not the latter...

It is not overdrive because it already specifies Overdrive in the spoiler. It looks more like an update about he new "battle royal" game they started (King Hardcore): launched date or open testing, maybe... (check the screen of the developers when they talk about the surprise).
