Oppressor for 2.0

Ok last of my thoughts on this topic less I reply, I saw the russian blog where they are showing off the 2.0 weapons and tanks how the models look and thought this is what the oppressor should look like so....

 

Halvizard Hovertank

 

This would just be a rough base to work with.

Turret looks like the one that stands on T-90 :) With kontakt 5.

Its reload time is remarkable, it has longer time before going to reload, and oh yeah, it freezes you, letting an m0 freeze have the possibility of ruining an m3 viking capturing a flag..[/quote']

 

Your still ignoring the fact that the Dictator model is not necessarily a good reference point in building a new tank. It imbalances the game.

 

BTW, very few M3 vikings don't have M3 Turrets, pushing aside an M0 freeze really shouldn't be a problem. If that is a problem for you then just purchase storm. At 30% protection it takes an M3 freeze's killing power from 32 / sec to 22.4 / sec.

 

Of course using your scenario it takes M0 freeze from 20 / sec down to 14 / sec. Seeing as how an M3 viking has 150 points, it would take roughly 11 seconds of an M0 freeze to kill you dead.

 

Imbalance problem solved.

Seems like me a lot of people like this idea. We need something to stand up to shaft. That's is dictator tier 2 its not imbalanced. Oppressor or emperor what ever. The name you give it.

 

For the drawing it might take sometime. Remember you can't rush art. =P I'll try do what I can.

No need to rush art after all this is for 2.0 :-o I'll see about refiguring the price using a 7.5 factor with mammoth. But the health, speed & mass, I believe you should stay the same. I dunno about turn rate If it goes down any it wont be very much at all. Thoughts on the turn ratio people "people who use hornet with nitro would know im sure" Just enough to keep from flipping without weapons knockback or ramming or nitro or plain crazy drivers.

now using the titan dicator formula 7.5 5 5 "number with remainder"

oppressor/emperor 5625 11250 34000 113333

 

only question is is this right? its is a huge increase "yes i used calculator" the above original figure seems right to me. So thought I won'tt chage figure but dev's can decide what it should be.

 

any players with hornet id like to hear your thoughts on hornet speed with nitro statics appreciated it'll help "not saying i'll chage it though".

The original price was right. Not that you're on the price is right lol :P.

 

Thats over kill imho. Just saying that the first price was better and more fitting.

Yo fly. 880 is too cheap for such powerful tank.5k + is fair.I played a lot & gained 40k exp in short time.The gap between warrantt officer to 3rd Lieutenant is bit less then 100k exp.

 

It would be pretty pointless to have a mammoth m0 when you get Oppressor m0 .The same tank only faster.

Hang on guys I never suggested I was changing the price. I just wanted to show why I chose the first prices i posted.

 

Because dicator m-0 - titan m-0 is 130 which is what i used to come up with 880 for the oppressor/emperor.

 

@ happyhour where did you get xp into the price? I have leveled up quite fast and not made a lot of crystal in the process because. I'm gonna buy isdia and dicator m-0 with my money not the crystals I have collected just under a 1000 total. Sometimes you just don't come in the top 3 in ranks, but you still get exp. Is that what you mean?

 

Ok did the math using wasp/dictator and applied it to mammoth using the subtractable of 20 I get exact turn ratio as mentioned originally. Using the divsional from it 1.25 1.2 1.18 1.14 this is result

turn ratio

m-0 175 m-1 183 m-2 200 m-3 228.87

so the first posted turn ratio is what it'll stay as it is sensible to me. other options are

m-0 130 - 120

m-1 140 - 130

m-2 160 - 150

m-3 190 - 180

how about some constructive criticscim instead of just overpowerd. the dictator lead the way for the tier 2 tanks if this is made or any new tank for that matter it will lead to tier 3 probably. strategy determins power not stats. this is still only an idea I have not sent this in a pm to any mods or devs so none of you worry too bad that this will make it in to game. but i hope a new tank will be made to help against shaft regardless my idea or not. so skill up because i bet thier will be a new tank in 2.0 for all you that dont want one and it will probably be overpowered slightly too. and i havent heard one complaint about shafts overpowerment and i heard it will be.

Just got an idea for the Oppressor .

 

The idea of hovering tank is nice. I just don't like the high speed with high hp that all.It will destroy the idea of strategy: fast tank with low hp for ctf or slow with high hp for camping or average hp & average speed for camping & aggressive fighting. I know you said it like dicator .How ever there are 2 tanks that are better then dicator so its pretty different situation.

 

The idea of hovering tank should be like a viking for example with the same speed, but you will be able to go above obstacles like walls & higher ground just bying going forward with it. It doesn't have need to be the same hp as viking .

 

Sometimes it kinda anynoing having a wall blocking your way.This tank could handle it ,if they create it that is.

Hey Essy, way to ignore the fact that the Freeze also freezes it, so the 8 seconds = about 110 damage plus your teammates firing = dead m3 viking CAUSED by an m0 weapon.

lol no it wont hover over peoples weapon arch that would be unfair just be slightly off the ground. hmm i like the idead of hovering over obsticales but with this there will to be limits no hovering on top of houses where no one can hit you railgunners would with this tank wouldnt be able to be hit then. Ill see about formulating another hp turn ratio speed stats for this tank as if it will be able to hover over small or medium obsticals it will need to be aggresive tank not lead way for tier 3 tanks but between hornet/viking/mammoth it may take a while for balancing consideringif this isits power. dont need dukes of hazard on places like silience.

still dont really understand turn ratio though or how to determing climbing but its the current thoughts. so opinions people?

the new stats where formulated using the viking as a base so i dont know about increasing the speed as the formula can be applied to make next hornet & mammoth version.

 

however if the russians plan on the next tier of tanks being as much an upgrade in stats department as in tier 2 tanks was to tier one then the orginal stats might be needed.

 

im just basing my stats at what they might would do if the accepted a new tank as i haven't seen anything in the 2.0 blog about new tank chassis but i did see the new model for railgun its awesome.
