April Challenge — Thunder Prime Skin

For a new player?   Well most of those are NOT completing the challenge.  Plus u can't compare what need to do at Legend to get enough stars versus starter levels.  Apples to Oranges.

 

Currently many team battles are played that way - as TDM.  So until they actually make a change (won't hold my breath) we have a legitimate beef.

 

You can defend Challenges all you want - won't change the fact many battles are ruined because of them.

 

Tankers who play a lot might rank up faster, but since they altered the exp per battle, we rank up slower overall.

Players mid-range to upper levels will not rank up too fast - it now takes quite a while for each higher rank.

 

This is how Challenges directly affect the quality of battles - players now don't care about the outcome.

Assault, RGBY, CTF... doesn't matter.  70% of the tankers are playing TDM.  All they care about is 1) threshold and 2) getting 3/6 stars.

If they are going to die and re-spawn a bunch of times - why try to cap a flag?  Just make kills.

Seen this as teams lose 5-0 - because not one player tried to cap a flag.

Many players now have a selfish, me oriented mindset that is ruining the reason Tanki WAS such a great game. Tanki is a TEAM GAME. Challenges are destroying that.

Yes you can, like when pushing them off the map.

 

But yes, we are taking about all team battles being played as TDM.

I found it much easier to earn score (and therefore stars) by playing the game mode for what it was intended. Whenever I focused on capturing flags/points or scoring goals, I ended in the top 3 spots most of the times. When I played a more supporting role I ended up in the bottom half. Perhaps I'm just not good at camping, but I'm a defender by nature and still I preferred attacking to earn stars as quickly as possible. I find it interesting that apparently the majority of players think about or experience this differently.

Attackers are cannon fodder for campers, unless campers in that particular team are noobs or enemy team has too many Shafts. Then the Fires and Freezes can spawnkill, of course.

The only place I've been cannon fodder every time has been on Highway and coincidentally I always seem to end up in the red team in Assault. Yet even there attacking gave me score the fastest.

You have probably full M4 garage, strong Spectrum module and thousands of repair kits. Most players do not have such luxury.

I've seen many a shut-out in Massacre Assault.  Vulcan+Shaft+Freeze+Isida+take-your-pick can defend that quite easily.

There comes a point half the Red team just doesn't even leave their base at all - those campers just go for the long-range kills.

 

Been in CTF battles where 5 out of 8 tanks on one side were campers.  I wonder why...

Because 7 of 13 turrets can camp. Camping is the best tactic with these turrets, especially when you want good k/d.

This is my suggestion in order to bring mm battles back to team oriented gameplay. Please like this post if you agree.

 

Giving 10 stars for every 3 battles your team wins.

Just don't... People will flee from the battle much quicker than ever before once their team starts losing.

Id say it's worth a shot. MM battles need to be more team oriented.

CAN.

 

In CTF  5 / 8 turrets  SHOULDN'T be camping.   Makes for a crappy battle.    And selfish players worrying about k/d...  <_<

 

This is reason why I just exit Highways every time I get placed there by MM.
