Declined Matchmaking Option without Gold Boxes

HELLO:

Gold Boxes ruin the matches for serious players.

 

Currently during the April Fools celebrations there are people in CTF who are not even playing. They are just waiting for a box. So what's the point of playing during this time?

 

When it is not April Fool's people abandon the match to go chase 1000 crystals. Its like throwing a pig into a packed room of zombie beggars.

 

Its frustrating because a lot of matches are lost because your team mates just abandon the match to go chase for 1000 crystals.

 

Furthermore, it seems to create a culture of begging. People begging for gold, bugging for boxes to drop, begging all the time. 

 

I think matchmaking should have two buttons, "WITH GOLD BOXES", "WITHOUT GOLD BOXES".

 

This way those who really want to play serious can do so without their team going off in the middle of the match.

Segregating players into two groups would have bad effect on the matchmaking waiting times. Developers made sure that this time gold boxes don't interfere with the gameplay too much by making them drop instantly. This also discourages people from waiting for golds, since most of the time they won't be able to get to the drop zone fast enough anyway. I guess some people still decided to sabotage and wait for golds, so it's best to just ignore those, or join DM battles where there's no teammates who could let you down.

 

The event is temporary anyway and will be over soon.

I caught 2 or 3 golds with Titan. I did not wait for them, the gold spots were just really close to me so I sat on them with DA and waited for them while firing at the enemies.

Honestly, if you want to hang out waiting for a gold...thats fine. I'll just kill you a bunch of times, which is fine by me
