The server chats are already separate, so you can use those to make friends and have conversations. Tanki's gameplay is very fast-paced and not really suitable for tactical communication anyway. Don't forget that some players are using TO mobile, which doesn't have a battle chat feature at all.

 

Separating players will increase Matchmaking wait times and make the game very inconvenient, while adding negligible benefit.

In far far future, small national languages will die and only the most common languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Swahili, Turkish, Polish, Korean) will stay. Maybe even not all of these.

 

That is just my point of view but I think this is very likely to happen.
