Why you should accept the fact that this game is dead and move on

That's so not true. If it was popular because it could be exploited, then nobody would play the blue side. There were so many NOISE CTFs back then. So many people including myself can agree that Noise was their favorite map.

Yes several youtubers did quit in around the same time period.

So people would rather be spawn killed over and over again or not be able to end the battle than to have a fun and balanced battle?

2015 people must of been pretty stupid then.

Actually there were better and much more nicer players back then instead of now, this is one of the few things I remember very, very well about 2014-15 era. Back then battles were not entirely composed of strategy, but also fun and luck. Players did not seem to care about their ratios and tried to have that one chance of grabbing the flag out of the red base and jump back into the blue. I say this out of experience, yes I was a big fan of Noise CTF XP/BP. Who else remembers these legendary battles:

  • Desert DM XP/BP
  • Polygon CP XP/BP
  • Kolhoz DM
  • Madness DM (Old one, with the floor, tons of laughs while falling and landing on that pillar Gold Box)

Its a shame these battles could not continue as they were long ago, being really popular and attracting tons of players.

I will just mention that literally no one asked for floor to be removed and devs just killed themselves and made 1 more dead map

Noise was a true charm, the one who made it actually deserves applause. He put 2 different concepts into two different teams and actually made it even. Sad they are no more.

I really liked those Bobrusik CTFs as well the map was quite different from the rest and I enjoyed playing on it. Now I can't seen them either.

and yeah Desert DMs was the actual battle royale in those days. 40 people shooting each other at the same time. Lost Temple was quite popular in the low ranks. All those buildings you could use for cover and the amount of skill you needed to pull off a sneaky capture. Monte Carlo was fun as well, you got a speed boost, sneaked from under the bridge into the enemy base, got the flag and jumped over the empty spot into you base. Then you had to face shafts and railguns shooting you- and your own teammates trying to push you off the map just to get those extra EXP points for the capture.

I don't get why Madness was changed without any reason? I don't think anyone asked for the base to be removed. They could've kept 2 versions of the map to compensate , but no.

Tanki was unique- in it's own way. Now it's just a mixture of other games. All the YouTubers I watched back then haven't uploaded. They moved on and right now there isn't much promotion of the game in YouTube by it's players.

All those people fighting for one gold during that Polygon CP. It just seemed so fun when someone was about to get it but then that guy that spawned in the corner just shoots that crowd and half the people die  . Now you can drop it yourself, not the same fun it was back then.

People actually chose fun over a win or having a higher K/D.

It all came to an end with time. Things just arn't built to last forever. They all perish at some point in time.

the fact that you're a player right now just shows that the quality of players has obviously worsened.

What the Hell does that have to do with anything?

If you want to quit the game, then just quit the game. No need to rant on how "tanki is dead" and telling everyone else to leave.

Just save yourself the 80 million years you'll be wasting trying to convince everyone to leave. ;)

Players who say "Tanki is dead" haven't played a dead game.

Years ago, I played a tank game that was a lot of fun. All battles were 1v1. There were 3 skirmishes in each battle, but only one map. You could challenge another player from the lobby (no lobby chat) by clicking on a players name and a picture of the player's tank would show up with a challenge button. Players were separated by rank. A lower rank could challenge a higher rank, but a higher rank couldn't challenge a lower rank. You could chat during the battles. It was very popular and had a big player base.

The owner lost interest in the game (for whatever reason) and didn't do any more server updates. The game began to lag and the lag got worse to the point that many times, through the battle, your tank just stopped. That's when players started leaving. To resolve the lag problem, the Dev, without notification, changed the challenges to peer-to-peer only. Which meant you could only challenge someone with the same IP address. I live alone, so I could no longer challenge anyone.

The last time I visited the game, the player base had dropped from around 8,000 players (when I first started playing) down to 10 players. The game was sold, reworked and went public again. I played the new version, but it wasn't the same game at all. I even had to check to make sure I had click on the right game.

Now, that's a dead game. Tanki is nowhere near being dead.

Also I used to play one of those RPG games which was called Mythborne. I joined in late 2014 and it was fun, it was pay to win (but let's be honest, all multiplayer online games are like that), servers were good. But the devs lost interest in the game and stopped maintaining it literally last year. Now it has all kinds of bugs and errors.

And repetitive mostly during challenges.

Tanki has always been repetitive. Its a grinding game. You log in...jump into a battle and fight, then jump into a battle and fight, then jump into a battle and fight.

Sure some changes have been made, but idk how those make it boring or repetitive in a way that it didnt use to be. Maybe I'm missing something?

btws...arent you the same level you were like a year ago? I just noticed lol

Well challenges bring out the worst kind of players, the exploiters. These are the players that maximize spawn camping, grouping, and OP alts and drones to gain stars faster.

And I only play to get missions done. The reason is because battles between ranks of marshal and legend are just so dull and complicated and full of exploiters and overachievers.

It's boring as hell, but still addictive. I suggested adding more maps to MM but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I will stop playing less at some point but I don't know when.

The lack of randomness for map selection.  They seem to rotate them in groups and you don't see many maps for weeks.

The short 7 minute battles have made it very boring - players just try to kill as many tanks as posisble, regardless of mode.

Leaves no time for any type of strategy, and forget about communicating with team.

These are really good points actually. Short games means winner/loser is virtually meaningless. I do think the battles are more intense than those of old days...at least the ones I've seen on video since I've only played for a year. I watch some old vids and just feel I could walk all over them with any combo...nowadays its a lot harder. 15 minute battles do lead to more runners and therefore blowouts, but you are much more invested in each game
