No, Hunter's OD is really good for close range turrets. In small maps with DD & DA on, just run into the enemies and use the OD. Boom! Everyone freezes for a few seconds with all supplies disabled, and of course they are all yours!

 

Only Mammoth's OD can save itself from Hunter's OD.  Mammoth's OD can't be disabled by Hunter's OD, thus it is still invincible as long as the OD lasts.

But I don't want drugged up Fires and Freezes to stun-ambush me (they are bad enough already), even though I could reverse the situation by holding my OD in reserve (I only use Hunter / Smoky).

 

And I think (garage) supplies are stupid / ruin the game, so I'm unlikely to have DD & DA on unless I've got them from drops.

 

But that's not really my point. If some of the ODs end up being so much better than the others (Keeper kits are going to be a nightmare now), then some hulls are just going to become rare.

I’m not feeling exactly happy with this upgrade.

  • No strategy can be applied with non-clan players.
  • The fight is most working with luck and not with skills.
  • Now I prefer playing mostly Deathmatch (depending to myself)
  • I would prefer a standard (old) mode in MM as an option.
  • The upgrade was not highly anticipated I thing for most old players.
  • Now it is very hard to deliver a flag or to score a goal.
  •  I thing skills should be the factor to win than overpowers. At least XP/BB is still there.

Got to get this lot of my chest....

 

  You new overdrives are underwhelming.  Gone from having something tangible and useful to something that appears to do nothing, and makes no difference to staying alive... just dieing faster.   You should've left the old supply buff in place... as it is, this is just pointless and useless...

Let's all hold our feedback until we have seen how this will impact the game. Of course it will change, but probably not much. One thing to think about is how much the current overdrives cause battles to become blowouts. Good teams that are already individually skilled will also use overdrive to help each other, thus making them all even more OP. Losing teams will tend to use OD more individually as either they are noobs or they realize the battle is lost and just want to do well individually. This might be wrong but when I see a lot of players playing terribly, I will find those who are playing well and will give them OD.

Most of us can't play in a regular team and are left to the tender mercies of the Bulltwang MatchMaking nightmare, where brig's have to try and compete with  Legends.  They haven't finished beating the bugs out of Match Making before adding new stuff

 

  To add to the misery, half these new O/D's appear to add nothing to your survivability, you've taken away a good all round buff and replaced with with.... nothing....

With this update you made Driver drone useful :D

 

Thats probably the only sane thing I've seen.... the quick buff out of the gates is all that keeps you alive for 10seconds.

Supplies are part of the game.  We could only deal with it like the other mechanics they throw at us.

 

And yes, Hunter's OD could only act as a lifesaving last resort when using mid/long range turrets and being ambush by enemies.

 

I also agree that the gaps between different ODs are quite big.  Some ODs should definitely last shorter if not nerfed.

Well, I've played this game on and off for quite a few years using different accounts, and I must confess that I've NEVER been so confused and bewildered, so far I'm not a fan.  :wacko:  :(  :angry:  :angry:  :angry:

From what I've seen so far and experienced. The protective dome of Titan seemed really annoying and quite powerful. I've seen like three Titan users together, basically a non-stop protective dome which made my Railgun shots do the Twins projectile damage.

 

Hunter absolutely did not work for me, but that's probably because I am not this suicidal type of player who runs in to bunch of enemies to deactivate their supplies and stun them.

 

I do like the Viking overdrive a lot, it was fun to use it especially in a situation where lot of enemies are nearby like during Gold boxes. I get like three or four kills on enemies with protections and heavy hulls.

 

I also kind of feel that the overdrives are used too much and the focus is shifting too much on them. I can already imagine some problems (like Titans sitting in Assaults defending team and you won't be able to even scratch them), but that's something i would have experience first.

It's fun in Parkour mode, I wasted a lot of mines. When a Hornet uses an OD... lol.

 

The programmers did a good job. Just don't bring it to MM b... sorry, too late.

I do not like it at all. The games are even more unfair, and what is the point of assault mode if the blue team always get the overdrive and always win. I do not like this. The game is just more crazy and mad unfair.

Overdrives are sooo cool and fun in team battles, but not in Juggernaut...

Also I found a bug when I’m playing Juggernaut

rethink your statement, you only feel like its fun because you are playing in low ranks where viking is mostly common

at high ranks its just...

 

can u tell us the bug with juggernaut plz

dont expect us to be able to read your mind :x

new owerdrive is bad like matchmaker.its conected with hull so i must buy new hull because in deatmatch owerdrive doesnt help me at all.matchmaker puts me in the game witch are already won or lost people lives batlles statistics lies of number players.solid shooting game is transferd in crapy racing game.no offence no defence tim spirit is destroyed.i will not give money for child game

So what I am seeing here is that people who's hulls got amazing overdrives, such as viking, love the update. Some people are being optimistic. Some people are being pessimistic. And the people who's hulls don't have good overdrives, hate the update (including me).

 

The developers say this update brings strategy to the game. Maybe in competitive play, but not in MM and certainly not in low ranks. With the old system, ODs shifted most players focus to the team, rather than themselves because you could share the affects. With the current system, the overdrives are rarely, in match making battles, used for anything other than personal use. I have never seen a viking activate his overdrive to take out a mammoth that is attacking his base. He waits until he is attacking and may even run away from that mammoth to go attack. This would be because that viking wants to get personal value for his overdrive.

Wasp is fun but it's likely OP. And imagine mobile players getting blown to pieces because they didn't hear well or see the ticking bomb. Flawed.

 

 

There's an OD OFF option.

I was just joking with wasp. Not sure whether it's OP but it's sure fun.
