For your info:

Hunter with active overdrive can freeze mammoth with active overdrive, but frozen mammoth is still dangerous if you are in touch with him.

New overdrives are fantastic.  If you don't understand this, you don't understand the game.  It is much more entertaining, with the only exception being on Goldboxes (mammoth overdrive).

With every massive update, there are many haters, but the game goes on.

Well, that's your opinion, and, obviously not shared by everyone.

Someone said that a Goldbox is just 1000 crystals, well that's incorrect, earlier I could one Container that had 10 Goldboxes inside.

Nah, the only thing that's incorrect is your facts. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough. Each gold box is 1k.

Minor Tweaks to Overdrives

 

First, all overdrives should recharge about 25% health over time. This is to prevent some Viking going berserk and being stopped within the first milliseconds because a couple of ricochetting pellets from a nearby Hammer end its reign. This can be applied to Hunter as well, but it's not as much as a problem. Next, Wasp's bomb's countdown should only be visible to teammates adding in some suspense.

There's a glitch where you drop a bomb, get killed and your OD is still fully charged. Or is it fully charged already because I killed some tanks with the bomb?

Or take away the extra speed boost.  Invulnerability + Instant death + Speed boost?  A bridge too far.

 

But I agree - making it vulnerable to Hunter would be a start.

I actually had forgotten about the speed boost... Over. Powered.

Thank you for the statistic. How did you find that? Is it on Tanki wiki? 

I made a private battle and timed approximately how long each Overdrive took to get to 100% without any interference (capping flags, destroying enemies, healing etc).

Edit: You can also find it on the Wiki but it's more complicated on the Wiki to understand than just giving you the time in seconds.

If Mammoth has speed boost and Viking does not, it can even catch Viking (!).

You sure? I couldn't catch a viking with speed boost and he was close to me

 

I think people overestimated mammoth overdrive the real OP ones are titan viking and hornet

They are just mad at mammoth because it got all the golds, like they used to be mad at dictators for the same reason. But we are all kids aren't we?  :)

No player that are with offensive mind-set will see Titan as strong. Clever players already use Hornet to its best.

The Mammoth would only be faster than the Viking by 1 meter/sec. After ten seconds (it's a tiny bit less considering that the Mammoth had to accelerate from its former top speed to its new top speed), it would only reach 15 meters further than the Viking if they started at the same spot. 

 

15 meters a short distance really.  That is not a significant distance. Vikings can more than well get away. They can go to lower-level platforms as their hulls' stature and weight coupled with its speed could land properly and accelerate to full speed faster than the Mammoth can with its respective statistics. And this is assuming that the Viking doesn't have speed boost enabled, which these days, it's unlikely. 

 

While you are correct about it being able to catch a Viking without speed boost in theory, it's not so much correct in practicality.

LOL - see what I mean?

 

Players with an offensive mindset won't see titan as strong, since it is more of a defensive overdrive

I'm not playing Dad much anymore. I got so good with the Twins-Viking before The Great Leveling (a little before they merged to only three hulls), that I really can't get into it any more. Twins mounted on Viking or Titan still suits my style, but I used to be able to attack three enemies at once and always get at least two of them. The agility of the turret and hull were so much different then. It was mostly the rotation acceleration. I fight close in, the closer the better. It is part of what makes the Mammoth OD so frustrating. There is no counter-play possible. I'm dancing around the slug and he hits the OD, and I'm gone by the time I hear the sound-effect. And, it works from more than a tank-width. It is at least a half-meter. I bet it is a full meter, rather than actual contact.

 

Anyway, the rotational and fore-aft acceleration of the Twins-Viking during my early M3 days, sometime around two years ago, made the game really fun. Opponents learned to not let me get close. Of course, then the challenge was to get close anyway. I could compete with the full M4s. Now, with three M4 turrets and two M4 hulls, I just don't find sweet spots anymore. Ricosck is full M4, but specialized only with Ricochet-Dictator. Kinda limiting, but I'm still slightly motived to make Legend. Riconot is short-range, Firebird or Freeze on Hornet, or Hammer on Hunter. There is still enough variety in it to have some fun, but the variables, the chaos, limit the potential.

 

I have three other subaccounts, but I've all but forgotten them. It would be cool if Tanki would try to make things fun again, instead of just introducing the next new thing. I get it, new things drive cash purchases, but I think they broke the game too bad. They can't fix it. Tanki is dying, and I don't think it possible to recover. I assume they are trying to get to some new and big game before funds from Tanki can't cover expenses. More power to 'em, but I also wish they'd quit pretending the next big "improvement" is going to fix Tanki.

 

It was fun for a while. I thought things were a little better when I returned, but they kept messing up more and not fixing the worst problems. It is well past hopeless now. Oh well.

Mammoth's Overdrive has a 7-meter radius of attack. That's a good bit off of the hull.

the only hull i own that is somewhat upgraded is hornet ,now why would u not give hornet an OD with something a lot better than being able to see where the opp is it's stupid ,every other hull has a killer OD except hornet and you should give it a stinging bullet ,also since your money hungry this will blow you away instead of making OD's permanent why not sell it like you sell crys, upgrades micro upgrades like double armor , speed boxes ,make the players have to buy it to use it then that way you can put the hulls back to original status and get rid of drones its a bad market for that this isn't a tank game anymore i know many players would like it the way it was a lot of unhappy players . i would like to know what other players think and the developers also
