Sorry, calculated wrong. That's 25 meters. Odd, 25 meters didn't work for me.

Hasn't worked beyond 20m for me - even on flat ground.  It's also astounding the number of times it has failed to work - the 1 second delay certainly does not help.

 

Oh - and one of worst turrets to go with it is Vulcan.  By time you spin up, the target is no longer stunned.  And Vulcans are terrible in close proximity.   So for DMs I have no choice but to go with freeze.  End up on Highways?  Adios muchachos.

Hunter in team games like CTF ,Assault and Rugby is a game changer, the character of the game

has changed dramatically.

 

I was in an assault game(highways) earlier today trying to finish a mission and around 5 tanks was sitting around the

point defending , then this hunter came and froze us and capped another two hunters did the same , now one of the 

Ways for us to defend against such threat(since the hunter was already there) would be if we stack our tanks

Exactly around the point and actually detecting hunter from afar, that would require great team work in a 

Team of random people.

 

That game felt different since we won it but i felt defenseless many times when hunters attacked

And almost quit the game since we won with a very small margin.

On a big map like Highways you should definitely have 2-4 tanks forward and picking off enemies like incoming Hunters.

Thye have to make a choice - use OD against outer defenders or save it and risk dying before getting to cap-point.

Having your whole team camping around the base is asking for trouble - like 1-2 Magnums on other side raining fire down on the defenders.

 

Blue should have an advantage on a map that big - it just takes red so long to move the flags that far...

Agreed but that would require alot of team work with random players, everyone in team is doing whatever he pleases and

Battle times is very short that is why it's hard to coordinate.

Yes we had the advantage which is why we won but by a very very small margin.

Even though I very rarely play these days, ( Playing only to test new updates to see if Pony Tail Boy and the Dev's have pulled their heads out yet) I still follow the numbers regularly. This is the lowest I have personally ever seen the numbers during peak times. Especially over a weekend. I think you answered your own questions by the questions you asked. I think they finally broke the backs of the last hard core players and now they're leaving.

Yes. I've been playing for years and years. Once the addiction wears off I will leave as there is no real enjoyment.

Yes - I understand that.  It's another layer of complication for the tanker... getting close to target, zapping within range while also firing.

 

My point was, it's not nearly as efficient as say... freeze or ricco or fire, etc...  They all have better turret rotation up close as well.

not sure if others are seeing it today. but I'm finding the OD for hornet is acting up.. I activated 3 times before hitting 100%.. so it got to 23% at turned on then again around 40^ , then finally at 93% . then a new round at 100% then nothing till it got fully back to 100 %..

 

this all happened after I got a gold box and was flipped over with activation was on. I deleted and gold dropped again in same location, then the issue started with OD..


When ODs were being tested a player mentioned that. A Mod said that the Devs are aware of the delay and to wait (a few seconds? a minute?) after it hits 100% before using it. Guess they didn't fix the delay issue.

No, you have to look for targets before you spin up. A couple things I do I find helps.

 

1...Play peek-a-boo, much like Railgun. Use your camera to peek around corners to see if it's safe. If you see an enemy tank, start the spin up and then come around the corner. Same on ramps. Start the spin before going up the ramp. By the time you get to the top the ammo is firing.

 

2...If the enemy is attacking your base, keep the turret primed. If you listen close enough, you can tell when the turret is about ready to shoot. At that point, if no enemy is around, stop the spin and start again. This way you only have half the waiting time to begin firing.

I tested new overs very well and i enjoy plaing only with viking overdrive. Titan over gives even more dominance for coordinated groups which use them. Mamooth godmode is too OP for small maps CTF, ASL and RGB. Playing rugby mode lost sense cause if mamooth take the ball he will score point easy, only need to press shift and go ahead. I think they should remove godmode and give for example 200% hp instead of this.

Yeah, I think we've all lost our love for this game. They literally took everything good in this game out, then redesigned it completely then put it back in. Now I only play XPBP and to see if my old friends are online :(

or make it have 80%-90% protection max

Playing is just trash now...even in the lower ranks.  It's only a time waster.  You can't fight against Wasp's bomb.  A three year old with an M0-MU0 Wasp can now kill anything on the field except a Mammoth on OD or a Titian in it's dome.  There are so many FireWasps that you are going to get killed by bombs over and over...every bloody game.

 

I spent so much time in this game, and for what, this garbage?  I am pretty sure that these same style battles over and over and over is the end of Tanki for me.  I'll give it a tad longer but I'm bored from the tedium already.  I see noting that is going to make this exciting to play again...it's the same old battle on every map in every mode at every rank. 

 

What a shame they have totally destroyed this game.

You see all the suggestions about adding earthquakes and other random disaster stuff.  coughsupermariokartcough.

 

That's when I go pro-battles only...

In that way the gap between buyers and normal players has lessened, since now they can't hide behind protections and m4s and supplies all the time

I was just in a battle that was just horrible. I activated Titan's OD and two Vikings with OD activated killed all of us. Later, another Titan teammate activated OD and Hunter deactivated it. That's the way it went all battle long. Every Titan's dome was either deactivated or the Vikings came in and destroyed us. Sometimes all three came at us at the same time.

I had a brilliant game on Highways ASL yesterday.

Rushed over to the blue's side just to harass them..... let someone else carry a flag.

There were two Wasp Freezes by the middle bridge ramp and a couple of Magnums on the end of the bridge's ramp.

The first two times I got up the ramps, landing behind one of the Wasps, and promptly got Frozen.

 

The third time I went up the end ramp by the pillars hoping to get behind one of the Wasps, but he'd moved and was already by the pillar so I arrived right in front of him.  He let rip just as I landed.

But my OD came on just then and Waspie was just in time to see half his team disappear in a cloud of pink.

Overdrive Wasp - Wasp bomb will completely neutralise the overdrive effect of the Mammoth.

  • charging speed will increase slightly;
  • the bomb will explode a second earlier - 3 seconds after installation instead of the previous 4;
  • the explosion will no longer cause damage to the tank that has installed the bomb itself. :)

The problem is that there is not that many Wasp going after Goldbox.

 

Many more changes on OD and game balance ... - wait for Cedric post :)

Yeah, some ODs will be nerfed 30% and others will be buffed 50% and they'll tell us they are balanced. Then in a couple more months they'll be nerfed and buffed again and say they are even better balanced. In a few more months the'll be nerfed and buffed again and tell us...Well, they really weren't that balanced, but they are now!
