After a very successful weekend where players got to test and have fun with Overdrives, this game-changing new feature is finally here!

 

Here are some important points you need to know about Overdrives.

 

What

 

Your hull’s Overdrive is like a special superpower that charges over time. It will unleash an offensive or defensive power that —if used at the right moment— can literally change the tide of battle.

 

How

 

Each hull will have its own Overdrive and each Overdrive is unique in its own way. When used in conjunction with other Overdrives as a team, the results can be devastating.

 

Why

 

Overdrives will change the game as we know it. But that’s a good thing. An online game like Tanki Online can only remain relevant if it constantly offers new challenges to its players.

 

Yes, Overdrives will force you to rethink your strategies, to move out of your comfort zone, to adapt.

List of Overdrives

Wasp

 

 

Drops a bomb that explodes after 4 seconds and causes tremendous damage with a large area of effect.

Hornet

 

 

Allows the entire team to see the health bars and location of enemy tanks. Additionally, your tank ignores all of your enemy's defenses, dealing them full damage.

 

---

 

Hunter

 

 

Deactivates enemy supplies, as well as Wasp's bomb and Titan's dome generator. It also stuns all enemies within its area of effect.

 

---

 

Viking

 

 

Significantly increases your turret's damage and firing rate. Lasts 7 seconds.

 

---

 

Dictator

 

 

Your tank and all allies within the area of effect will be repaired and buffed with Double Armor, Double Damage and Speed Boost, as well as dropping a Mine each. No supplies are taken out of the player's inventory.

Titan

 

 

Drops a protective dome generator. The dome significantly increases damage resistance, and also repairs allied tanks within its perimeter.

Mammoth

 

 

Your tank becomes invulnerable and faster, and will deal loads of damage to any enemies it touches. Lasts 10 seconds.

Juggernaut

 

Repairs Juggernaut and blasts away any enemies in the vicinity.

But don't worry, we'll be keeping a close eye on things. Balance issues usually reveal themselves only after a few days of actual game play, and the data comes from analytics, which needs time.

Mamoth's overdrive is too OP !

Reduce the duration effect of it , or  let Hunter's overdrive to be able to desactivate Mamoth's over

With the Titan's globe and viking mults plus wasp bomb, the in-game visuals will die since i am a 30 fps tanker

Wow, this just came out of the blue.. and I'm actually speechless! Thanks a lot for not delaying them for several more weeks.

 

I just hope right now that they get released without any major issue, and that all goes well in the end.

Game-changing? Game-disrupting! Currently, the game is already unbalanced enough. And Tanki adds another feature... :blink:. I must say: No lack of self-confidence, but I would like to see some more self-reflection, which could lead to some real improvements.

okkkkk first point will these new overdrives be active in pro battles.... 2nd point will the overdrives be the same for the lower ranks.....3rd point lets say 2 ricos both full m3 both identical protections on both with hunter will they cancel each other out....last point.....this is either gonna be amazing are a complete disaster ....the old adage if its not broken dont fix it.....my opinion keep these new gimmicks for tanki x and let the kiddies enjoy them....i wonder if god will appear before me and take me to heaven were the women outnumber the men  1000/1....(thats  code for will the devs actually listen to the seasoned players who know what there talking about and keep t/o alive with our credit cards)................i wont hold my breath..............
