There are M1 kits that are worth buying even if you aren't going to use all the equipments.

That image I posted is from an account that has the 2 modules, Titan and Smoky at M1.5. All these are headed to M1.10.

Now maybe I'll get another M1 kit with a medium hull. Then when I'm at the WOs I'll get one or two M2 kits, if I don't give up by that time.

I think there's more than one way to compete in Tanki, without multing and hacking that is.

Is it a good idea to complete fewer matches. But go in some matches for the gold box then just leave so I don’t get XP? Also is the micro upgrade strat a good idea?

People that go into a battle and say "gold plz" and then leave, tend to be highly made fun of. If you wait for gold to drop and then leave afterwards, that is called multing and can get you in trouble. Just play matches and have fun

NEVER use speed-ups.

 

MU the first "half" of MUs whenever you have the crystals.  Only MU the second "half" on sales - they get very expensive.

 

You want a high crystal to experience ratio so just play to finish missions for now.   When your supplies and bank-account is more padded you can start to play beyond missions.

I just looked at your profile...you have thunder and viking m1 plus a bunch of other m1 turrets. You should be saving for m2 kits. Thunder viking is a fine combo to hold you till you get m2s. Maybe you could upgrade them, but if you do, you will have a few levels of playing with m1s vs m2s

I'm saying just complete missions and then log off. What I do is 10 missions per cycle ("week") then wait for mission reset, because sometimes I get missions I don't want to do like DMs and ASLs. I don't do 20 missions per cycle because of that and because I don't want to rank up fast.

This is the account I messed up on. I am nowhere near the amount of crystals to get the M2 kits and I’m always fighting uphill battles against m2s. The account I am now using is PJFAUST0. Not sure if it’s worth continuing on this account so I made a new one on my phone. Problem is it’s a google play account so I can’t use it on pc. Whoops!

You should 100% keep using this acct. thunder viking is a fine combo. Work on finishing your missions each day and i bet you have m2 crystals soon enough. Might not be your thing, but $7 will also get you two weeks of premium and double crystals so thatd get you caught up quickly

Yes the overdrive is amazing. It’s so satisfying when an overconfident Drugger tries to get a point in assault mode and I activate the overdrive around my teammates. The drugger gets annihilated instantly or drives over a mine.

I’ll use both accounts. It’ll be a struggle to get simoom kit from 14000 crystals without ranking up but I will try my best. I just need to get those weekly containers and those 1150 crystal missions.

You need at least m1 combo - MU or buy a kit.  Then save for different m2 kit while you continue to MU your m1 combo.

 

Only play to complete missions.  Then stop for the week.  You want a good crystals to experience ratio.

 

Get some protection modules - a couple at m1 then more at m2.  Make sure all modules are at m2 before you hit m3 unlock rank at Marshal.

 

Keep upgrading your two combos until you get to the m3 kits.  At that time.. your choice to branch out more or just upgrade the two you have.  I recommend upgrading the two combos until Gismo.  At that point you should know if you can afford an extra turret.

For my WO2 account (https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/VocaloidDefence), I only do missions like you said. And that account is F2P.

 

Additionally, ONLY use drugs for the missions to avoid running them out.

 

Even in this P2W account, I'm running a bit low on Repair Kits now (http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=379355 This idea need to be implemented by Alternativa REAL badly)

So, I'm a Captain with 3 M3s. I think the vast majority of the crystals came from contests, and though admittedly the skill set that I have is very useful in relation to Tanki, but there are still many contests you can win with a little bit of hard work.

Looks like you'll have to wait one, two, or more weeks for Keeper and Firefly. This week we got the Viking and Rico kit, which is good for me because I needed a medium Hull and it's the only medium M1 for now.

Here's a simple strategy:

Only work on missions each day.

• Playing for too long will deplete your supplies, and if you have a Drone equipped, you will run out of batteries much quicker.

Never buy turret Alterations/Augments.

• Too expensive
• You're sometimes better off using the default version of the turret. For some turrets like Firebird, Striker, and Thunder, most of the augments are just as balanced as the default version of the turret.

Never ever buy Hull Augments.

• This is a buyer-only feature.
• If you want Hull Augments, just try your luck in free containers or wait and buy the pass for a challenge with your desired hull augment in it.

When Micro-Upgrading, always wait for a sale when the Micro-Upgrade costs more than 30,000 crystals  at full price.

• Is it really worth paying 30,000 - 50,000 crystals just to get 20 more hitpoints on your favorite hull? Or one percent (1%) extra protection on your favorite Protection Module?

Be patient and try your best to not buy Speed Ups for Micro-Upgrades.

• Yeah, I'm not paying double for 20 measly extra hitpoints.

Best advice for F2P, be patient, do not rank above the strength of your garage at the next proceeding rank.

To do so is going to be very bleak for you in regards to getting wiped out by the heavy hitters, P2W.

Things to do for F2P players, if not already:

• do Missions (daily/weekly/Special)
• do the free tier Challenge
• save your Weekly Containers until you are the highest rank (you can get a lot of supplies at the end)
• participate in Contests and Events (they give special prizes if you do them and/or win)
• save your Crystals and use them ONLY during sales!

My advice for free-to-play:

 

- As soon as you can, pick up Dictator and a high-damage turret. The reason for this is, Dictator gives you supplies on activation of your Overdrive. With a high damage turret, you can destroy easily in battle. By the way, melee turrets don't work well with Dictator. 

 

- When you get enough crystals (around 35k or so) and when you get to a rank (e.g ), think about picking a combo that you enjoy playing with. The reason for this is that this is what you will upgrade this all your way through the mid ranks, and eventually the high ranks. Also, at the high ranks, pick up a turret that doesn't have many protections against, but still has a very good amount of damage (if you enjoy using said turret).

 

- Do your daily and weekly missions. This doesn't just give you rewards for completing you, they also give you 2 extra currencies: shards and stars. What stars do is that they advance you in challenges, which, if you get 3000 stars, you get 100 free tankoins, which is essential for buying battle pass (worth 500 tankoins). When you get 100 shards, you can claim a container, in the Containers section of the garage.
