18 ranks would be Recruit to Captain. 

 

Seeing that you didn't give any more information than that, I'm gonna assume you played those battles on DieselPlatinum and not any other account. Let's also assume that you were around the middle rank in that rank bracket.

 

That would be Legends playing with WO3s assuming you were around the middle rank in the battle. If you were the highest rank or one of the higher ranks, that would be Generals playing with Master Sergeants. Seems too unrealistic.

Hold up. How recent was this sighting. When MM was implemented, Recruits could have played with Generalissimos. Is that what you're talking about here? If so, that may not be relevant enough here since this is MM after several changes and not right after its implementation.

I've been sent into a few battles against Legends. Fortunately, there's been a smattering of other ranks mixed in. Since Legend doesn't have a level designation, I don't know how high the Legends are. Mostly the highest I'm up against is Commander.

Most of time for me though, I face tankers within my rank brackets.

 

I even faced Field Marshals couple times today when playing Juggernaut. 

 

One of them dominated Highways (ma favorite map LOL) Juggernaut. And he/she is a Viking-Sledgehammer. With da K/D of 35:7.

I think mine was the lowest rank in battle.

 

There was a person at the rank of legend level 11 a few others were like between legend levels 1 to 5.

 

It was like last Thursday.

 

Good thing they didn't have thunder protections on though (which was odd) because it allowed me to drop them like flies.

 

This was in DM by the way.

Legend is a rank by itself, no matter the level Legend they are. We're talking about individual rank. There is this player that I battle frequently named T.e.n.z.i.n. He/She is a Legend 26. I wouldn't consider it a 28 rank bracket because of that seeing that a Legend 10 can have the same equipment as it or even a Legend 5. It would still be a two rank bracket from Legend to Commander.

Well in that case, I'd say the biggest rank gap in MM I've been in is between colonel to commander. Which was about a few hours ago was the last time. It happened.

Technically it's two ranks.

 

But do you honestly believe a L1 player will have = equipment to L37?

 

Don't forget to include Alterations, Drones, MUs and the ability to switch out to a turret the L1 does not have a maxed module for.

And in reverse - the L37 probably has 50% modules for all the turrets the L1 has.

This of it like leagues in a mobile game or...think of it like in Brawl Stars. Players have more than 10k trophies and some more than 19k but a player with 6k is or almost is on equal footing to the player with 19k trophies. 

 

So for Tanki, a Legend 12 can have almost or the same combo as a Legend 37. Not so much when you decrease the level of the lower Legend but almost.

I guess my point is that Legend should be subdivided as well.  Maybe every 3 Ls = 1 "rank".

 

Unless you play hardcore it can take you 1/2 to 1 year for each "L".  That's a lot of time to do the upgrades.

 

When I graduated to L1 and ended up playing L10, L15, L20 etc... it was still brutal.  Not really better than being as Gismo.

I remember one situation where I (as a 3rd warden) was going against a 4th lieutenant. He skinned me alive  ^_^

 

Just today I was playing against a 1st warden that had M1 everything. I myself was a sergeant (on my alt account)  :wacko:

Darn. WO3 vs Captain? That's no good.

 

I even faced Marshals back in Captain rank.

That's me right there.

My alt had battles vs Gismos at Colonel.  Ranked up to Brigadier and faces Legends.  Not all the time - but it happens.
