Revamp this game, please

Every time i read one of your posts i shake my head in disbelief.

The developers are doing it gradually, you mean when it suits them to do so, when money can be made from it.

I would prefer for Magnum and Gauss to be DELETED from the game. A LOT of problems would be fixed if these two didn't exist.

Magnum: it broke the game when it was released back in 2017 - allows firing a parabolic projectile which makes no sense in a linear shooter like Tanki; it makes certain maps unplayable such as the bottom part of Noise, and it completely destroyed the strategy of the game (as did Gauss) by encouraging camping.

Gauss: salvo firing mode is way to overpowered, there's no laser sight like with Shaft and Striker. Like Magnum, its salvo has massive splash damage which means that it has a much higher DPS than it should have. And let's not forget the OP augments such as EMP salvo - if devs don't nerf it, just delete the turret.

Arguably Magnum is the more game-breaking of the two due to the nature of how it fires shells - that doesn't mean I necessarily dislike Magnum, its physics just aren't really compatible with Tanki; meanwhile, Gauss is simply unoriginal and very obnoxious.

What broke the game more was the helicopter, before that it was hornets massive OP overdrive, before that it was blah, blah, etc, etc.

Nothing surprises me anymore about this game. It's been dead and buried as a competitive game for all players going on 2 years now, certain mods would have you think differently.

The first signs for me were when they brought out hammer, without adding the protection module for it at the same time. That was the first of many sly moves by the developers aimed at buyers only.

If your just a casual buyer and not a hard core (i have to win at ANY cost) type of player, then your days are numbered just as much as the F2P players. 

Just look at all the ammunition the developers have to make money still left in the game, from all the drones (they will rework them for this ?) all the turrets, hulls and the parameters they all have are just waiting on the side lines, all of them ready to be reworked and make them even more money. To think this will not happen is to be blind to what has happened so far.

To carry on playing this monotonous OP, P2W farce you either have to be a hardcore buyer, are just plain dumb.

Everything developers do is for maintaining their economy. They want to help tankers get good rewards, but also obtain the revenue to keep the game running on HTML5.

If we just got things added for free, then there would be no way the game would stay alive.

So it's better to be thankful for what we have like free Shards, free Stars ...

We can always switch Turrets/Hulls to fit the Map playing style. Magnum is unique.

We can use it to get enemies behind a wall. It's nice that we have this turret because it shoots in parabolic way, while all other ones are just a straight projectile turret.

Gauss is not that powerful if we have the defenses. It's as strong as Thunder, Magnum, and Railgun, and it's weaker than Shaft's sniper mode.

I used Gauss, and my Sniper Shots did around 250 damage to the enemies that had defenses. I even had Double Damage activated.

So all you need to use is some Double Armor.

Honestly I wouldn't even play if it weren't for the nostalgia. Tanki is my childhood game. I barely play these days, and when I do, I try to separate the game from the developers because TO was once great even if a few of the developers remain the same over the years (like Hazel).

- Matchmaker rank-spreads are way too wide.

- new players rank up too fast and end up playing enemies that have full-power supplies and 3 (or more protection slots)

- too many pay walls have been introduced. All the OP items are only available for $ either in a bundle or UCs.  Would take me 1.5 years to save up enough TKs for a 4th module.  And that means no Battle-Passes for 1.5 year.

- Too many status effects (plus ODs) have sucked all the fun out of the game.  Re-spawning over and over is commonplace and ... BORING.

- The protection modules I spent millions of crystals upgrading were downgraded in an instant with the introduction of critical hits.

- Forcing players to buy and upgrade drones to compete.  I have fully upgraded Defender.  But my miner drone at MU-4 is now useless. I never planned on upgrading any more than that - and now equipping it would put at a large handi-cap.  All the crystals spent on drones like that are wasted.

 

TO is losing players week by week and I really don't see how they will retain any new players with the disadvantages now placed on them.

Oooh, it had an incredible Impact force, it was just too high. The mults has spreaded, you can't capture one flag without a teammate hammer flip you and take it from you in that time.

Turn off your self-D and don't drop it.  The loser who flipped you will probably get wasted along with you.

The bright sides are that you are a Legend+. So you have strong gear compared to the other players.

Also, everyone will soon become Legends and get better equipment.

Developers will maybe even decrease the range of ranks as we continue giving them the statistics of each battles.

I agree with this. It will take every F2P player this much time to get the 4th Module.

But we are F2P players after all, so at least it is possible to get the Tankoins to unlock it. At least we don't have to pay real money.

Plus, we'll get stronger as time passes and as we use our saved Crystals during sales for the upgrades. Then, we'll be able to handle the stronger players.

Yeah, true.

I would also like to get this more balanced because now, a lot of Turrets give Status effects along with the Overdrives.

At least Protection Modules still help to defend against up to 4 Weapons. But I would love to get the Critical Resist Module.

The bright side is that you can always use Brutus Drone like me, that wastes no Batteries, until you save up for your main Drone, Miner.

Yes, true! I hope developers know the state of the game, and how to manage it, as we go further into this year, etc.

I'm not worried  about me.

How will those players "soon become Legends" when they quit the game out of frustration?

Many of the recent changes implemented are designed to oppress lower ranks.  They WILL NOT stick around.

I think you and the devs are missing this point...

Since he said he only has MU-4 for this drone, I was suggesting to use Brutus Drone while he is saving Crystals to fully upgrade his Miner.

But using Defender is very good too.

I know what you mean. When I was a non-Legend, I was losing a lot to max Legend ranks.

I closed my game tab, and did not play for the rest of the day. I even took a break from playing until I had the interest again.

 

Then I remembered that this is just a game. Even though we lose, we will re-spawn and can continue our gameplay. We will lose, quit for some time, but then when we play again, we'll upgrade with some saved Crystals, and become stronger and stronger.

The players who stopped playing will be the ones who gave up, while the ones who continued playing, earned their Perfect Tank, etc.

It basically comes down to free choice. We'll feel like quitting, but if you don't give up and continue, then you can succeed in the game, as well as in life.

You suggest him to use Brutus while he upgrading Miner*, I ask why you suggesting him to use Brutus instead of his maxed Defender?

It's like you didn't read my post at all.

Why would I want to MU the miner drone?  It's useless to spend all those crystals on it.

 

Free choice - LOL.   Of course the new players have a free choice to quit the game.  Problem is - MOST OF THEM WILL QUIT.

It's the way we write things that give each one of us different point of views and opinions on.

From past experience, I read about sarcastic posts, informational posts, and many other components.

By reading your post, I read how you wanted to upgrade Miner because it was weak. So this is why I thought of the idea with Brutus Drone and saving until you upgrade.

But if you are using another Drone like Defender, that's good too.

By reading your post, I read how you wanted to upgrade Miner because it was weak. So this is why I thought of the idea with Brutus Drone and saving until you upgrade.

Miner was fine before with 4 MUs.  Gave me an adequate number of permanent mines.  I never intended to upgrade it further, and I could use it as it was.

But then TO tied our supplies to drone upgrades - a ridiculous change.  Now if I use Miner I will be at a huge disadvantage with respect to supplies.  In order to use miner now, I would have to sink a LOT of crystals into that drone.  Crystals I do not want to spend on the drone.

So TO has made my drone - that I paid for and upgraded 4 times - useless.  It will sit in my garage and go unused because it was made underpowered overnight.

So true, but most of the mods think this is a splendid idea. As we both know only to well, when the developers make changes the mods are less affected than regular players, especially the F2P. The devs could introduce submarines and all the mods would be on board with it.

The game is a complete mess, but hey, who are we to complain, we no nothing about game play and balance.
