Tweaks to Overdrives, Turrets, and Drones

I just timed Viking's OD.  Tanki added almost a full minute to the charge time.  It now takes 4 minutes and 10 seconds to charge when no score has been generated (no kills, caps, points, etc).  This is almost a full minute longer than previously!...it's 50 seconds longer and it lasts much less time...seems like about half to me.  It now takes longer for Viking to charge than the original OD iteration (like Dictator's now).

 

nerf-buff-nerf-buff-nerf-buff    Tanki's own version of the worm ouroboros.

I was using it in a juggernaut battle today, and felt like the battle was going to end before the overdrive was done charging. I was wondering why it took so long until I saw this... 1 more minute, oh boy.

Alteration for Thunder "Sledgehammer rounds”

 

Now reduces reload time by 25% instead of 30% — this means that the rate of fire will decrease slightly.

 

AGAIN!!!!!????? Dumb even more in an already useless turret?

Viking's damage with Firebird, Freeze. Isida seems less now than with just a Double Damage and lasts a fraction of the time...in other words Viking pretty much gets a free DD every battle.  It is now the weakest OD.  Typical Tanki nerf from OP to zip.

 

Wasp doesn't kill itself anymore (that is fair in my opinion), but it is now the quickest recharge....faster than Hunter or Hornet by 5 seconds (no score...kills, caps, etc) Wasp is now the quickest charge: 1 minute 45 seconds.  Hunter and Hornet are 1:50.

 

Personally, I found the bazillion Wasp/Firebirds a total joy killer.  There was always a bomb going off and no protection against them...now Wasp charges and re-charges much faster.   You can kill so many so quickly that your Wasp can recharge in about half a minute...10 to 12 bombs per battle if you are on a roll and drugged up.  

 

I think the speed demons previously preferred Hornet over Wasp...it seems like there were quite a few more Honets pre-OD update.  So Tanki makes Wasp the darling speed hull...many many players equip Wasps and start MUing.  A few weeks or maybe even a couple of months down the road...nerf

 

It's was pretty much a joke in the lower ranks already with all the bombs going off all over the field.  Now with the Wasp buff there is nothing left of a strategy game.  There are devastating undefeatable bombs everywhere all the time.

ya maybe they should. And make Mammoth have more health than Titan and Dictator have the third highest health in the game. Nobody was complaining when that happened. But all of these overdrives differentiated the hulls and everyone is complaining :wacko:

What about titans OD? it's way too strong


Viking was always decent. Hunter can deactivate bombs and titan domes.

I know it's hard to make strategy but playing in groups helps. We did this a few times, with me using hunter and a teammate on Viking. I manage to stun a group of enemies in the base and the Viking+twins blasts through them.

Differentiating isn't the problem.  It's how they are differentiated.  Tanki has now become ALL about OverDrives. 

 

If you don't have OD active, you are basically helpless.  It's not even close to the same game from 1+ years ago.

Half the time your team doesn't speak a common language.  So organized Groups - sure - they will dominate big time.  Most others - not so much.

Mammoth OD is nerfed now a hunter can just disable it..

No, a Wasp's bomb can neutralize Mammoth's OD, but Hunter's cannot.

Make Dictator a Heavy Hull (slower), and make the new Hull be in the medium category?

A hunter disabled my mammoth in battle

They didn't mention there is such a tweak on Hunter's OD :blink: :blink:

 

I will try to stun some Mammoths when their ODs are activated to see if it's really work :wub:  :wub:

It is terrible.With every update i have more and more lag.I don't know what is the reason but the game is unplayable for me anymore.And  it is not my configuration nor my internet connection.Do something if you can i am sure am not the only one.

Viking Overdrive "Berserker"

 

We've loosened this Overdrive a bit: reduced charging speed and reduced extra damage during the effect period.

 

 

A BIT? A BIT? You guys don't even dare to mention the %.... Can't kill tanks during overdrive because of the "a BIT loosened" overdrive :wacko:

 

The only gameplay left in Tanki is the Russian roulette with the game parameters  :rolleyes:

In a battle in Magistral, there was a lot of domination going on over the bridge. I went on the bridge and just before getting killed, planted a bomb. Destroyed 4 tanks. Spawned with my OD fully charged. Went on the ramp again. Planted a bomb before getting killed by a Viking with OD. Destroyed 4 tanks. Respawned to find my OD at 86%. What the heck is going on?

So does that mean the part that said "except other allied dictators" just false advertisement or a typo?

Neither really, as it says in the announcement the boost applies to allies, so not to the dictator itself.

@ZloyDanuJI explained it nicely in this post:

 

because it refers to "all allies except other allied dictators"

 

this "other" refers to the exclusion of friendly dictators. the "all allies" does not include the dictator in the first place"

 

when they said "all allies" it means al teammates except the dictator. they later excluded the other dictators but the dictator wasn't included in the first place so there was no need to include it in the later exclusion

Could be a bug with Wasp's overdrive, we've reported it.

If you use a repair kit and you get shot by someone, the repair kit will only repair 1000 HP of your hull's health. Otherwise, if you don't get shot during the repair phase, your hull will get fully repaired. For example, if you use Mammoth, then, the repair kit will restore your hull's health to 4000 HP, only if you don't get shot during the last remaining 3 seconds of repair.

How cheap it is. Viking OD last for very few nano secs n cant destroy any tank. While small hull hornet keep destroying you with faster re-charge and long duration. Hunter make piece of crap. Wasp kick your butts in 3 secs. Blah blah.. so disappointed about Viking..

Hornet's overdrive is too powerful especially with thunder and railgun. Every other tank I see is a noob hornet-thunder. Reduce its OD duration to 20 seconds and make it not completely ignore Titans's shield.
