These silly stars events turn all modes into TDM...well, or DM   Everybody is concentrating on highest kill count exclusively.  Any concept of "team" is defenestrated.  I really can't imagine how Tanki can foul this game up any more than they already have, but I have great confidence in them...I'm sure they are working on something as I write this that will pull the quality of game-play down even further.

One of my 2 accounts going Pro-Battles only - even if it means playing a lot less.

 

Account staying in MM will just play for missions.  Once it hits Gismo or so, likely switch to Pro-Battles only as well.

 

The game has lost its fun-factor.  It's all show, no substance...  all icing, no cake... all crown, no filling... all hat and no cattle

OK...so it's a war.  Where is the War part?   Isn't it just another set of challenges...that you pay to attempt? 

 

So you pay 10,000 crystals and then accumulate: 

1000 stars

50 Nuclear boxes (one per map littered with campers)

7000 kills

40 Juggernauts

1 or greater K/D (man what a bummer to drop below just before the end of this thing.)

100 ODs (this one is a freebie)

 

For 

2 paints (OK...if you want more paint)

30,000 crystals (20,000 really since you pay 10,000) 

100 of each supply (probably not as many as you used to get the 100)

3 containers (cool but this like just one weeks set of missions)

3 weekly containers (cool but this like just one weeks set of missions)

10 gold boxes (nice...seems like a real prize)

an animated paint (OK...if you want more paint)

 

I guess if you were planning to do the full monthly stars challenge thing, this war that isn't a war would be a good deal and a nice bonus on top of the Challenge rewards.  I'm just out of the loop I guess.  Generating 1750 or even 1000 stars is just virtually impossible for me, so I don't even bother.   On the other hand, the buyers of Premium and stars doubler thing have their month all laid out for them :)  Tanki gotta get paid :)

Probably be another war of super w****** where only a poofteenth of the player base will get a sniff of a crystal.  Blow your crystals on a poxie paint.  sure the little sample looks good, I'm sure they don't try them on a tank, and your chances of any return are statistically 0 for probably some 80% of players....

Lol I just bought the Tarantula paint for 10K because it looks okay... then I just get a K/D over 1.00 (easy, Shaft and Magnum are the weapons I use on my two accounts), and drop the golds for myself. Next thing you know, I got the paint for free :D

Yeah I did. I faced him/her myself too couple times today in DM. LOL, he does not have Eagle equipped and he/she was using Shaft too. JA JA JA JA!!

Keep in mind that with this economy, you can have M3s earlier than that (M2 10/10). SO those Majors at the top probably had M3 equipment which would be on par with the Brigadier. 

 

With the Shaft buff, I can compete with Marshals and Generals. Players with M3s can compete with Legends but only up to a certain point. Once they bust out that fully upgrade drone, the M3s are done. 

 

If I see a high-rank player at the bottom while his lower-rank teammates are above him, I wouldn't be surprised. 

 

 

Another factor is that some turrets just work better in some maps than others. I remember years ago seeing messages of players of a lower rank of the highest ranked player saying that a person who is lower than them is playing better than that person. What if that person only uses one combo and that combo wasn't good for that particular map? I've had a few insults like that thrown at me and I wonder if these people even give strangers the benefit of the doubt before judging them.

Low-rank Juggernaut (Warrant Officer ranks) are just filled with Freezes whether it be M1 or M2 or even M3. It's just filled with them and the Juggernaut can't do anything but watch as 4 Freezes just shoot him from different directions. It's sad really. ANd these players with the M2 Freezes at such a low rank have a BIG advantage over the others since their Juggernaut's damage has a BIG boost. Being able to one-shot M1 medium hulls and stuff. 

 

The best thing to do if you have a lot of life left but almost 0% Overdrive charge and a Freeze is freezing you, just self-destruct. Don't let the Freeze get the satisfaction of becoming the Juggernaut. Give it to a random player instead.

But he's a buyer, so he could have M4s. Anyways, yes, Rio is not suited to Shaft, but we were both using it, so he just had the better hull (okay, more HP - Hunter is better :D)

 

Anyways, yeah those freezes are annoying. I'll just target any and all people using freeze whether I'm JGR or not - I remember this one guy kept spawning in my sight in Parma JGR and was using Dictator so he never had time to escape. I shot him like three times in a row, I think those were his only three spawns during that period.

I didn't notice, brig is no guarantee of M3's, I'm still running m2's with 2-3 upgrades at most...  It also means quite often you have a map that doesn't suit the tank or the player.  Or they're just having a bad day.

Just thought I'd let you all know that battles on the mobile app apparently don't count towards the war, as I play maybe an hour a day in matchmaking battles on mobile, I bought the tarantula paint last week,m but according to the website, I'm not participating in the war.  So if you have a pc you can play on (which I don't) use a computer, not mobile.

Just thought I'd let you all know that battles on the mobile app apparently don't count towards the war, as I play maybe an hour a day in matchmaking battles on mobile, I bought the tarantula paint last week,m but according to the website, I'm not participating in the war.  So if you have a pc you can play on (which I don't) use a computer, not mobile.

It works, on PC it didn't show I was on for about a day, after which I showed up. It takes SO LONG to update, though.

It does work, but the website is case sensitive, so you have to make sure to type your nickname exactly as it is. So in your case like this: DEVlL and not devll for example.

Some super missions could be encouraging Multing. Specially the ones about ODs.

 

I too may mult to grab some Nuclear Energies and use some ODs after the 2X days. Fighting seems to be less rewarding nowadays.
