New shot effects

Recommended Posts

We have shot effects for firebird, freeze, isida, twins, ricochet, striker, railgun, and shaft.

So why not finish it with giving hammer, smoky, Vulcan, thunder, and magnum shot effects as well?

Also explosion effects for mines would be cool too.

Valid

I don't know if you guys conspired to post the same idea within 30 minutes or what, but... sure.

obviously devs didn't just forget those turrets, so shot effects are either planned for a future release, or there's difficulty implementing effects for these particular turrets.

I agree it would be cool for mines-since it is not just a turret.

However I don't see why devs should be chasing after shot effects instead of something more useful?!

Unless they just need something fir you to waste your crystals on.

So you guys are probably buyers

Unless they just need something fir you to waste your crystals on. Right now, shot effects are only obtainable through regular containers.

The reason I said that is since you don't really care about what is worth it and what is not. You are only suggesting effects since you will spend money on it-but most people don't care about effects especially if they cost real money. Non-buyers would rather have useful suggestions than effects.

I am just pointing out your buyer-bias, that is all.

So you're assuming that I'll spend my real money on a shot effect?

Tell you what, why don't you look at my profile? If I'm really the kind of buyer you assume I am, wouldn't I have a full m4 garage, Fully MU drones and all kinds of animated paints?

Besides, buyers make up the majority if not all of revenue that go to the devs wallet, which is used to maintain the game. So basically we're financially supporting the game so that you can play for free. ;)

And you haven't even provided one example of this "more useful suggestion" you keep talking about, so unless if you do, this point is irrelevant.

Why is it so bad if the devs do ANYTHING useful for the game instead of just making shot effects which only buyers want.

That's all

p.s. thanx for financing the game-but if you will spend 10 bucks on a 'bug' effect-you are a bona fide buyer.

That's all. Again, you're just saying this garbage point without providing an example of "a useful update". So either provide an example or don't bring it up as it's irrelevant. ;)

Adding shot effects is not much of a problem. Cosmetics don't require as much coding...

And Shot effects cannot be bought. So adding more of them will actually increase the chance of non-buyers getting them, either from Containers or Challenges.

In a way I agree to Given's logic that shot effects will hardly affect the game (and won't take up the devs time).

But DieselPlatinum please stop just quoting my post and writing in them-it is annoying to have other stuff mixed into my post, and you can just place your comments underneath it.

Although Given may have told me otherwise (that it doesn't take the devs time for effects), I said that devs should rather look at the other topics suggested, including multiple overdrive suggestions for Dictator, and Easier Team/Color Recognition, which are less likelt to be implemented if the devs are busy with new shot effects-which is useless-why not actualy help the game.

I just thought effects would be more beneficial to buyers, but if Given really thinks it won't than I'm sorry for mentioning your buyer-bias.

Ok but if you get confused to which point of your post I'm referencing to, then it's not my fault. ;)

And why didn't you just say that the first time instead of "something more useful"?

But even more useful updates would be:

·A separate Matchmaking button for challenges participants.

·All five team game modes combined into one for MM, and the OG five being exclusive to pro battles as well as juggernaut.

·Bringing back the auto termination system for when teams are unbalanced by 5 to 3 ratio.

·Bringing back the ability to stay in battle after it has ended in MM.

·Narrower rank brackets.

·Battle length returned to 10 or even 15 minutes.

·Separate m3 equipment is unlocked at LT general while garage m3 kits are unlocked at major general.

·Viking getting 150 units of weight buff while speed is nerfed by .5 units.

· Slight firing rate buff for thunder when Viking OD is activated.

· Format tags for PRO battles.

· Tagging groups.

· Bring back different HP variations for hulls of the same class.

There's a lot more but that's all I can think off the top of my head for now.

I guess I conveyed my point. But one last thing:

If you look at a bunch of old Vlogs, you would see some guys designing textures for paints, turret designs, etc. They are well apart from the actual developers. You can't blame the cosmetics guy for not contributing to programming, which he probably doesn't even know! So it's not about developers not "looking" into issues but focusing on shot effects. That's a different department.

Given-you don't think if they made that department smaller, the other departments would be able to pick up some more manpower? Or are you sure that tanki has 5 designer just waiting (figuratively) until there is something to design, and if we stop asking for new effects they still won't do anything else?

DieselPlatinum?

I didn't mean those things as the most important ones, I just didn't have the patience to compile such a list-but really I am referring to all of those.

No I don't think so. Cosmetics department is usually very important for a game, as that creates the various visual aspects we see. Tanki wouldn't stand a chance against visually appealing games if it further reduced its cosmetic designers. If they want to hire more developers, they won't fire designers, of course.

If Tanki has a shortage of developers, it's because of new ones not being easily available.

We need some new shot effects.

For instance, a GREEN shot effect for the Firebird.

Surprise, surprise, as you already seen Hammer getting some new shots wasn't something I expected let alone came into my mind. I don't know about you but that was a surprise to me.

Yeep, last thing I was expecting was to give shot colors to Hammer. Check this month's challenge and you will be surprised too. 4 shot colors.
