Should they have made wasps bomb not do self damage or left it they way it was?

I think Wasp's bomb is still the worst overdrive out of all of them. The removal of self-damage was a nice improvement, but it's still not enough. It should definitely stay.

Exactly how fast does Wasp's bomb recharge? Because it seems as if these players have bombs to waste. 

 

I think they should remove the immunity but at least give them a lot of protection against their own bomb. I don't think it's the worst Overdrive since you can get charge for killing enemies with it.

@Kill_the_propaganda2 (because I don't know how to quote yet) I like that idea. if you sit on your bomb, it should take away 3/4 of your health. except then its boring in parkour when nuking people xD I gues you should always have 1/4 of your heal left on matter how much health you had, to fix it.

Yeah, at least add some sort of fear factor for planting a nuke.

That would make it too weak. I'd say just reduce the recharge rate, it recharges ridiculously fast and I sometimes get 3 bombs in 1 minute.

Do self damage again.

 

And the fuse time should depend on the modification and upgrade. For example, it could be like this:

 

M0 4.5 seconds

M1 4 seconds

M2 3.5 seconds

M3 3 seconds

M4 2.5 seconds

3 bombs in one minute? That's faster than any other OD that I know of. If that's the case then the recharge time should be a lot longer.

That is actually a bug they're trying to fix. Sometimes the timer doesn't reset to zero. Even getting 4 kills with the bomb doesn't fully recharge it again.

Getting 4 kills with the bomb isn't supposed to fully recharge it anyway.

Reducing the charging time would actually make it charge faster. I think you mean to say reducing the charging rate

 

It is impossible to obtain three bombs in 1 minute. That, I'm assuming, is probably an exaggeration. Let's assume that is not an exaggeration though.

You don't have the Driver Drone (or any drone for that matter) so that blows that method out of the water. Let me assume that you activated three bombs in one minute and not get three bombs in one minute. You activate one, you get (let's use an unlikely number here) 7 kills. That's about 60% charge there. By the time enemies spawn, you should have 65%. Let's say you kill three more before hiding. You may have 90%. You kill someone again and get it to 100%. When you activate this one, it's very unlikely that you would get more than 4 tanks in the radius. You get 4 kills at most. You're up to 36%. It's a miracle that you, a Wasp, haven't died yet. by the time you get the third bomb by being miraculously alive because 30 seconds has already passed and your smart cooldowns should have activated assuming that you didn't pick up all of your supplies before going to their base the first time.

You should be weak now, but no matter, let's keep pushing forward. You managed to get more kills assuming that your teammates aren't stealing all of your kills because it's not an 8 v 1 you know. You get back to 100% and drop a bomb. 

 

By that time, a minute has long past and probably approaching two minutes. So no, unless you picked up a nuclear energy box (which you didn't state), you shouldn't be able to get 3 bombs in 1 minute in the chaos that is MM small maps. 

 

 

The only other way I can see this happening id if you're playing Assault on a relatively small map (sayyyy, Polygon). You can capture the flag after you dropped the bomb that killed 7 people and that should have it at about 90% and almost ready for another bomb but an ASL flag gives about half of what a CTF flag gives. And given that you're a (probably M2 given the amount of hours you put into it) Wasp, it's likely that enemies would enable double damage and try to kill you. I know for sure that your Railgun isn't one-shotting the heavy hulls so you surviving that long seems incredibly unlikely. 

 

I'm just a guy who likes writing these kinds of interactions. Try not to take this too seriously.

That's what I was trying to say, it shouldn't, but it does. It's a bug where the timer doesn't reset to 0%, meaning you plant a bomb and get an instant another one. Sometimes if you die just when that second bomb got planted, you spawn with OD recharge at 80-90%. That's another big bug.

I think you should read my post again before implying your exaggerated and conjured-up theory. :rolleyes:

i think it's very stupid that there's a countdown at all... i mean, if it's immune to it's own damage then what's the point of the countdown??

If they wanna make it immune to it's own bomb then they should just remove the countdown and let it explode instantly

Too much uncertainty and unpredictability. You wouldn't like that that Wasp that's buzzing around in your base could kill you in an instant if it chose to. 

 

Plus, with that, the Overdrive would not be able to be stopped. You can stop a Titan dome that was just placed down. You can stop an immortal Mammoth in its tracks and take away a bit of the speed boost it may have had. Why mustn't Wasp's bomb be able to be stopped in some way? 

 

If a Hunter was to start charging up its Shockwave, the Wasp could just instantly destroy it and make the Hunter's Overdrive charge go down to 20%. That doesn't seem fair, does it?

Alright then. 

 

 

"Timer" was making me think that the bomb's timer wasn't going down to 0 or something. 

 

 

As I had said, 4 kills couldn't recharge the Overdrive progress bar to 100% anyway even with a 20/20 Driver Drone.

Wasp bomb is spectacular , and more that then effective . When you get lucky you kill 4 , but most times you kill 0 or 1 and max 2 . I do like playing with the wasp bomb , just for the fun of it , and seeing the people run for cover
