I don't know if you can call that a passive ability. If a hovercraft will get added, it will most likely simply be like any other tank, but without tracks. Just imagine if Hornet had invisible tracks but was otherwise exactly the same, only slightly different handling.

there has to be away for us to be able to keep War Paint. maybe if we pay additional 1000 or 5000 crystals..they are cool and would be memorable to wear occasionally...

 

Plus, Developers would have incentive to create new cool countries flag designs each War.. we could look forward to the new designs each war too.

We should have an entire separate section within the I&S section to discuss about ideas for each specfic turret or game modes.

 

I feel like many ideas posted in like, for example Ideas for Game Modes or Ideas for Maps, don't get any attention because it is very hard to find that specific idea (since it is in a broader category with many other ideas).

 

There should be a folder for Ideas for Game Modes and within that folder you will find individual ideas for new game modes. That way, people will actually be able to find and see your specific idea.

Don't bother trying to get Tanki add things you and 500 other players think Tanki should add (or improve/remove).

Rather try creating your own dream-game.

We tried that with some other sections (e.g. resources) and what ends up happening is that the more sub-forums you have, the less people will find the topics. So while we can have a dozen different sub-forums with individual topics, it won't be a good decision overall as your posts will get even less attention than they do when we merge them into existing topics.

 

However, this does give me an idea to leave new topics for a few days, allowing them to accumulate some feedback, and merging them afterwards. I'll see what we can do.

Update!

 

From now on, new ideas belonging to the category topics (ideas for turrets, ideas for maps, etc.) will be published and allowed to stay separate for 4-7 days to allow some discussion and feedback. After that, the topic will be merged with the corresponding category topic.

 

Such topics will get a standard status tag, new "Merge" tag, and a tag showing the topic where the idea will get merged.

 

This is an experimental solution. If it turns out to cause a lot of inconvenience, we may revert to the old methods.

Additionally, we just added a new tag to highlight all the category topics (those titled "Ideas for ____") and added a colour to the "merge" tag. Hopefully this will improve the overall usability of the section.

PRO battles will stay. No one is removing them.

Another year has gone by since the major I&S update in May 2016. No major changes this year, but I thought I'd do another quick summary of the ideas we've been processing. The previous "report" can be found here, but I will add a copy of it under a spoiler below.
 
From May 2017 to May 2018:
 
Number of ideas approved and put "under review": 460
Number of ideas declined: 625
Number of duplicate ideas merged: 764 (approx.)
Number of invalid topics locked: 125
Number of topics hidden without approval: 400 (approx.)
 
Number of ideas forwarded to developers: 260
Number of ideas implemented in the game: 60
 
Total number of idea topics submitted by players and processed by moderators: 2434 (on average 6.7 per day)

 

Previous report (May 2016 - May 2017):

 

 

Number of ideas approved and put "under review": 513

Number of ideas declined: 505

Number of duplicate ideas merged: 661 (approx.)

Number of invalid topics locked: 98

Number of topics hidden without approval: 600 (approx.)

I'm surprised how close the two totals are. Just 12 topics' difference for a whole year's time. Also, the smaller number of approved and increased number of merged ideas is inevitable, as we're slowly running out of sensible, original ideas that could potentially be posted. Not much else to comment here, so... hope you found this interesting :P

Same. But I think the biggest "shrinkage" already happened between 2014 and 2016.

For me numbers only say that we're keeping track of them. When it comes to ideas quality is more important than quantity.

 

I don't like seeing valid ideas being declined and I don't believe in IAS anymore.
