Talk about Tanki friends who haven’t been online in years here.

Idk why, but it made me kinda sad when I looked at the first few posts of the congratulatory posts topic and clicked on all the player profiles. The last time many of them were active was 2011. It’s just weird looking at what someone who has already moved on long ago, had said while they played this game.

 

It reminds me of this player called, I think it was saady27super, who I friended in early 2016. I simply said something such as “defend the flag” in the chat, and he was like “yes sir”. We won the match, and he was always on my side with a wasp isida. He tried his best to help even though he only had m0 gear while I had M1 and so did most other people. Eventually, the laptop became too slow, and I couldn’t be bothered to play anymore, so I stopped playing in mid 2016 until April 2019. I searched him up in the stats, I think it was either saady27super or r_saady27super, I forgot. Whichever one had received a badge is the one I friended. As I expected. No weekly ratings. He had stopped playing.

Ah, 2016. The last year that Tanki was still a simple yet competitive tank game with a nice community and not some cringy mobile game with toxic 12 year olds.

I remember the first player I added to my friends list was called Zeewolf007, just a random player who was friendly but hasn't been online for years now. I've sent him a few gifts incase he ever decides to come online again...

When I was in high school, my best friend and I used to play Tanki a whole lot, especially in the lieutenant days. His username was freerunner73, and he loved titan smoky while I was an xp bp player since Major. I still talk to him but he lost interest in the game.

I have a tanki friend. @cooldoodsss

He quit tanki about 2 years ago. I miss playing with him. But, him and I still talk almost daily and call weekly too. Even though he left tanki, our friendship still remains. I will probably meet him this summer as well. :)

Well I miss one person mostly atm which is @Vikk, he was going through some tough times and he would always contact me if he wanted to talk just so he would smile and think positive. Haven't heard from him for a couple of months and I'm really worried about him. I have his contact but he hasn't picked up his phone calls or messages. Hopefully soon he will reply.

I've been here for years and encountered tons of awesome people. Unfurtunetly most have quit. It's sad to look at profiles of players you used to have so much fun with, but now haven't logged in for months or even years.

I miss a player named ELI_LIM. He was a really great friend of mine on my first propaganda account Kill_the_Propaganda, and he was one of the reasons I enjoyed playing on that account and the game in general. 

 

We had great Polygon CP battles and would chat for a lot. He was there when I had ranked up to WO2, 3 and 4.

Tbh I miss a player named Afaque-the-boy , we used to play together, we ranked together and got m3s together we played since the rank of major to legend we created our own clan which was doing quite good, at some times I would be the leader, at sometimes he would be the leader, at one time we got a lot of hate but we still managed to run our clan and it ran for about one year after that I left, now I haven't seen him on since the last 2 years.

I honestly don't remember a lot, not being quite active myself. I started this account back in late 2012/ early 2013. Though I guess most of the people I remember well are from my Forum Moderation days. I remember Cypher, dead2you, jazz20, GoldRock....Honestly, the list can go on for ages :3.

 I use to regular play with people, and have a good chat with them from all over the world.. Sad fact is you never see them, and I think the update to groups was part of that.. I was always in wave with my chums, and got to know a lot of people. Monah1984 from Lebanon, and we use to chat about her daughter.. SAULELGANDUL, a player from Spain, who drives the trains. Momma Bear, with her Hammer, when she was 2 gold star.( i wont tell any more than that). The list goes on.. That is the part I really miss about Tanki.. You could really break down barriers and misconceptions of other cultures, and build meaningful relationships. We would discuss problems and help each other out with advice.. Even being their for a friend from India, who was getting Divorced, and the trauma of not seeing his kids any more.. Or the heart ache, of seeing your tanki chum with terminal cancer( Dogtank) , and only months to live.

sivart use to teach me rail gun use, along with DEADEND69, but I think Sarah changed her name.

 

Most of all, I miss playing along side my wave chum- alienman2115, when we lost touch with each other through the clan system introduction, and his ill health, with a 3rd heart attack.

 

Tanki now has become insular, and very inward looking. You don't get that chance to meet people any more, and get to know them( within limits)You may guess that I'm an adult, and related to a lot of the adult players.. Don't get me wrong, I still see a lot of old players too, and are still in friends list..

 

Devs have lost site of how important this friendship, in the community was, and in some case, was the reason for playing Tanki… Well good post, and thanks for letting me go down memory lane, If you see me out there. say hello... Ta ta for now :)

Also stay consistent, you praised the work of Adri on the forum, but at the same time you said the last 6 months without you were not good. So is adri the best or not?

 

IMO with Adri's current activity and quality posting, the forum does not need you.

I will forever praise Adriel's work on the forum, he has been valuable since day 1. Without the others though, it's a dead place even with Adri. Though he is the best, we need darkness back. We need the old personia back. We need Galaxy. We need Marc. We need me. We need maryam. We need the olden days.
