The gauss turret looks like a mix between shaft and thunder, design wise. :wacko:

A Gauss Rifle is pretty much the same thing as a Rail Gun... <_<

 

"Call it a railgun, a magnetic accelerator, a mass driver, a MAC, a Gauss cannon, whatever, they all refer to the same thing: a weapon that uses pressure of magnetic fields instead of an explosive chemical reaction to propel a projectile."

 

In any event... if they add another turret, I hope they have planned changes for the module system.  3 modules will cover even less of the spectrum...

if I remember correctly the last turret protection came out later after the turret was released. giving players who used it an advantageous over non protection .. they should allow both to be released at the same time.. there all ready changing the turrets in this month update on patch notes ..

Sorry - should have been more specific.  Didn't mean the individual "Gauss" protection.

 

I meant being able to equip more than 3 modules.  The more turrets that are added to the game, the less % of turrets we are able to protect against.  3 modules and 10 turrets... 30%.  3 modules and 15 turrets... 20%.  Etc...

 

It waters down the module system - making it less valuable.

fully agree with you , the new system is garbage . I would rather the old one cause paints were also equip with protection . so in the end you had a higher % protection on..

 

If they release the Gauss turret without the module, it will get more people to buy/get it and use it.

but in the long run without the protection players D rate will change ,, with no protection our death will end up adding more on instead of  fewer with protection if equip .. just remember when  Magnum  / Vulcan  / Striker  first came out , lots of players complained about not being able to destroy it and had 0 protection. it got really annoying in battles..

Thanks for releasing the new V-Log 211 this week on Friday. In the future, please release V-Logs every week on Friday. It's not fair for developers to skip V-Logs. Players expect to hear the usual weekly news on every Friday, so please do not skip V-Logs on Friday.

The Gauss turret will likely look like a Thunder from a distance. I think it should look more different.

 

Modules should have a lower price, 500k from M0 to M4, have a maximum of 40% protection, and we should be able to use up to 4 modules at a time. Because now we'll need to buy and upgrade 15 modules.

 

Hulls and Turrets could increase their price to 1 million, and adjust battle rewards if necessary, likely a little more rewards because having a garage is too expensive.

This why the old protection/paints system was perfect. All these modules need to get binned

I like the flexible system.   But they can't keep it restricted to three modules if they want to keep adding new turrets.

 

At one point it was 1-in-3 protected against.  Now it's 1-in-4 (inlcuding mines).  Old protection system would not have been any better - it would have been watered down as well.  And did not cover all the bases.  You could not for instance - get good Firebird/Freeze/Twins protection.

 

They need to allow 4 active modules.

Well 35% x 4 would be an actual nerf - so yes they'd have a right to be unhappy.

 

Should be 40% x 4   or    (40% x 2) + (35% x 2)   or something close to that.  The 50% x 3 should still be available as well.

 

4 total slots.  Just use 3?   50 x3.   Equip a 4th and you get a combo from above.

 

 

AND... to throw a twist in... as soon as you equip 4 modules, each loses 5%.  So to get 40/40/40/40 you'd really have to have 45/45/45/45... that way players who have upgraded beyond 40% still have advantage over those who have not.
